It was a peaceful day in New York City. As the humans left for work or school, their pets would beg them not to go. However, their pleas would fall on deaf ears. But as soon as their owners were gone, the animals began doing the things they loved to do each day. On this occasion, Max and a majority of his friends were in his apartment.

"Come on Mel, you got this..." Duke murmured encouragingly to the pug, who was playing a race car video game against Buddy. The dachshund was so calm with his movements while his best friend seemed to have no control. At last, Buddy's blue car raced over the finish line a minute ahead of Mel's red one. Duke and Sweetpea groaned.

"That's funny," Chloe purred amusingly as she took out a sandwich from Max's refrigerator that was wrapped up and had Katie's name on it. Leonard shook his head in disbelief at the tabby cat while Max stared at her in horror. Grinning evilly, Chloe devoured the sandwich in front of his very eyes. Gidget quickly covered her boyfriend's eyes so he wouldn't see anymore.

"Can I try a game?" Norman squeaked, bounding over to Buddy. Nodding his head, the dachshund gave the guinea pig his controller before heading off to grab a third one for himself. Duke and Sweetpea, meanwhile, were giving Mel a pep talk and showering him with encouragements. Just then, Pops arrived.

"You youngsters seen Hairless at all? Last night, he took some duct tape of mine but he wouldn't tell me what it was for." Shrugging his shoulders, Snowball replied, "Sorry old timer, I haven't seen Ozone at all today... or Tiberius for that matter."

All of the sudden, everyone heard a loud screech coming from the rooftop...
