"Do you think we're doing the right thing Max?" Duke asked his brother, sitting down beside the terrier. Shrugging his shoulders, Max pointed out, "You should ask someone else that because I have no clue."

"This is for their own good, if you ask me," Chloe muttered. Everyone looked at the gray tabby as she continued, "I was starting to get tired of the endless pranks they pulled on each other."

"I am done with them bickering all the time," Gidget admitted. "Tell me about it," Buddy mumbled.

"Still, aren't we putting them into more danger by placing them in the same room, chained to each other?" Mel asked.

"There's not a single weapon in that room," Snowball reassured Mel, patting the pug on the shoulder.

"Do you know what Ozone has inside him? For all we know, he could have a pocketknife in that stomach of his!" Leonard exclaimed. Norman and Sweetpea nodded their heads in agreement with the poodle.

"And Eagle Eye can basically count as a weapon himself, with those talons and brain of his," Pops piped up.

"I sentenced them to their deaths..." Snowball mumbled, his jaw dropping. "Indeed you have," Max responded, shutting the rabbit's mouth for him.

"The cakes are done!" Gidget cried as she and Chloe carried the delicious treats out. "Why are there two?" Duke asked. "Cuz Chloe wanted one for afterwards but I said we should use it for a celebration cake when those two finally get along," Gidget answered. Pointing at one of the cakes, she added, "This one has the key."

"Okay, let's give it to them. Maybe they're finally getting along down there," Max  remarked.
