"See ya Mason! Don't want to see your face ever again!" Ozone shouted his farewells to the ginger cat as the moving van put distance between the two felines. Laughing his head off, the hairless cat seemed thoroughly enjoyed at how well his plan had worked. Just then, he felt a small tug on his back left paw. Ozone remembered the chain and looked over his shoulder.

Breathing hard, Tiberius had moved as far as he could away from the open door. Whimpering in pain, the old hawk collapsed on the floor. Recalling the puddle of blood he had seen earlier, Ozone quietly padded over to the hawk's side. The hairless cat could see some cuts, small and big, on Tiberius's head and shoulders from when he broke through the skylight. His right wing was covering his chest while his breathing seemed labored. "Let me see," Ozone whispered, gently moving the hawk's wing out of the way. He fell silent at what he saw.

Blood was slowly gushing out from two bullet wounds in Tiberius's chest. The first was in his left shoulder. The second looked like it could've gotten near his heart. Biting his lip, Ozone whispered, "You're gonna be okay. Try to stop the blood flow, I'll see if I can find something to wrap that up with." Searching around in the area they were in, Ozone spotted a ripped piece of fabric. Grabbing it, he gingerly wrapped it around the hawk's wound.

By the time Ozone finished, there was already a small puddle on the floor and Tiberius looked a little pale. The fabric was already soaked through. Placing a reassuring paw on the hawk's shoulder, Ozone whispered, "Try getting some rest. I'll let you know when we stopped." Nodding his head quietly, Tiberius laid his head down and closed his eyes...
