Chapter 7
Hello! Head's up, this chapter is going to be long as well, but it's an important one. I won't be including every single detail of the episode into this chapter, since it will make it longer than needed. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
Y/N's Pov:
I sat around the lounge chair accompanied by Mabel, Dipper, Wendy and Stan as we watched Grandpa the Kid. Suddenly, Soos burst into the room.
"Dudes! There's a bat in the kitchen!" He exclaimed.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of this." Stan said before reclining his seat. "Dipper, go deal with it."
"Aw, Grunkle Stan!" Dipper whined. "You always make me do dumb chores. I'm putting my foot down this time!" He stomped his foot as they had a rather intense stare down. Finally, Dipper gave in and solemnly walked towards the kitchen, me and Mabel following him.
"Remember, that bats are more afraid of you than you are of them!" Mabel encouraged as Dipper walked in.
I reconsidered. "I think you're thinking of ducklings, Mabel..." I stated. Turns out, I was right as Dipper's girlish screams were heard seconds after.
"Ducklings..." Mabel giggled. We managed to get Dipper away from the kitchen, (barely) alive. Mabel wrapped gauze around his forehead as Soos put ointment on his arm and I bandaged his legs.
Dipper sighed. "Why does Stan always have to pick on me? The more dangerous the chore seems, the more likely I'll have to do it! Why doesn't he pick on you guys?"
"Stan's personality is one of life's greatest mysteries." Soos said matter-of-factly. "Like whether or not it's possible to lick your own elbow."
"Bet you can't" Mabel smirked.
"Bet I can." Soos retorted as they headed out the room.
"Sometime's I feel like Stan just... Hates me." Dipper frowned.
"Look, Dip, I'm sure that Stan still cares about you deep down." I said with a smile. He returned a fake smile before I headed back to the living room.

I decided to help Dipper sweep and clean the living room as Stan fell asleep on the lounge chair. He mumbled in his sleep.
"Ugh, what goes on in that guys head?" Dipper wondered aloud. Suddenly, Mabel and Soos ran into the room.
"Guys! We gotta help Stan!" Mabel cried.
"Why? What happened?!" I asked.
"This evil triangle guy said he was gonna break into Stan's mind and steal the combination to his safe!" Soos explained.
"Triangle guy?" Dipper flipped through his journal. "I think I've seen something like this before... Aha!" I leaned over his shoulder to look at the journal. My eyes widened at the page. "Beware Bill Cipher, the most powerful and dangerous creature I have ever encountered..." Dipper read. Bill Cipher?! But that... That - It can't be! I shook away my thoughts, hoping the name was just a coincidence. "Whatever you do, don't let him into your mind."
At those words, Stan began to stir. A shadow of a triangle hovered above him and entered his mind. Mabel snatched to journal. "It is possible to follow the demon and prevent it's chaos. One must simply recite this incantation." We gathered the things needed for the incantation and prepared ourselves. Following the journal's instructions, we each placed a hand on Stan's head as Dipper read the incantation. We were flashed with a blinding white light and the next thing I knew... We were in Stanford Pine's mind.
"Remember, guys. We need to look for the triangle guy." Mabel stated.
"Yeah! Look for the triangle guy!" A voice said. We turned around to find ourselves in front of a glowing, yellow triangle who looked about yay-high. It had arms and legs and a single eye, along with a brick pattern across it's body, complete with a cane and a top hat. I shuddered. It's voice sounded exactly like Bill's did.
"Ah... Stan's family! We meet at last. Question Mark, Shooting Star, Pine Tree... And who could forget about Lightning Bolt?" It spoke. Lightning Bolt?! Only one person calls me that. Unless... He's not even a person. "I had a feeling I might bump into you!" He pointed a finger at Dipper and shot a hole through his stomach.
"AAH!" Dipper yelped. "What do you even want with our uncles mind?!"
"Oh, I just need the code to the old man's safe." The demon said, casually. "I just need to find it and Gideon will pay me handsomely!"
"Not if we stop you!" Mabel scowled.
"Ha! Fat chance! I'm the master of the mind." The triangle said. "I even know what you're thinking of right now!"
"Nobody can tell what I'm thinking!" Mabel retorted. The demon snapped his fingers and instantly, two colorful, high school age boys appeared before her.
"You're out of your league, kids. Now, turn around before you see something you might regret. Later, suckers!" With that, he entered the Mind Shack.
"Guys, we're going in." Dipper narrowed his eyes.

The triangle demon took the code and was on his way to Gideon by now. I clenched my fists. If this demon really is Bill Cipher then... I don't know what I'd do!
"C'mon!" Mabel cried. "We have to go after him!"
"What's the point." A voice said from behind. After looking through doors of Stan's memories, Dipper had disappeared, although it seems that he's returned now. "Why should I save Stan? He hates me!"
"Dipper, you know that's not true!" I protested.
"I saw it in one of his memories, Y/N! Stan hates me!"
"Look, it doesn't matter what you saw, if we don't stop Bill, we'll lose the Shack!" Mabel defended.
"No. You know what? Not this time! For once this is a problem of Stan's that I'm not going to fix."
"Fine." Mabel scowled. "C'mon, guys. We'll save Stan, ourselves." As we walked I stopped, and looked back at Dipper.
"I'd thought you'd side with me, Y/N." Dipper spat.
"Dipper..." I said softly.
"Whatever. Just go on and save the guy who doesn't care about me, because it looks like he's not the only one." He said, coldly. Ouch.
I opened my mouth to speak but decided against it. With one last look at Dipper, I hurried off towards Mabel and Soos. By the time I had reached them, Mabel managed to knock the combination out of Bill's hand with a Nyarf gun. The combination flew into a memory of the bottomless pit.
"The deals off!" I heard Gideon's voice screech.
"No- wait!" The demon cried. It was too late - Gideon had left. The triangle shattered, then turned a bright red. Even his top hat and limps glowed with anger.
"YOU!" It bellowed. "YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE WHAT YOU JUST COST ME!"
I shook with fear as it conjured flames in its hands. "Do you know what I'm like when I'm angry?!" A ring of fire surrounded us as the demon lifted us onto a platform. It grew instantly larger. "EAT NIGHTMARES!!"
It pointed a finger at Soos and a British bulldog appeared. Then, it blasted Mabel and her cuteness vanished. Finally it turned towards me. As I'd thought, the griffen from my childhood appeared before me, only bigger and more terrifying than I remember. It let out a screech and neared me, bringing me to the edge of the platform.
Suddenly, Dipper appeared, levitating above us. "Guys! Think of something to fight Bill and it will happen!" He said as he blasted the British bulldog with laser-eye vision.
"Really?!" Mabel gasped and turned her face back to normal. "Like kittens for fists?" Immediately, her hands were replaced with pink kittens and she shot them towards the demon.
I conjured a sword, which appeared in my hand. It was the perfect weight, and felt perfect in my hand. It was silver and encrusted with f/c jewels along the handle (a/n: picture the sword of Gryffindor, but with your f/c gems instead of red ones). I twirled the sword a few times before stabbing the griffen with it, and it exploded into dust. I walked towards the demon, and pointed my sword at it.
"Now, for your worst nightmare. A portal out of Stan's mind!" I taunted.
"Everyone! Together!" Dipper called as we all thought of a portal which appeared beneath the triangle's feet.
"ENOUGH!" The demon bellowed. It turned back into it's regular state and brushed its top hat. "Y'know, I'm impressed with you kids - you're a lot more clever than you look. So, I'm gonna let you off the hook; you might come in handy later. But know this: a darkness approaches. A day will come in the future where everything you love will change. Until then, I'll be watching you! I'll be watching..." It said before vanishing.
"Yes! We did it!" Dipper exclaimed. He looked down at his body, which began to fade. "Look's like Stan is waking up."
****
I opened my eyes to find myself lying next to Dipper on the living room floor. When we were all awake, we sat up.
"We did it!" Mabel exclaimed as her and Soos began to celebrate.
Dipper looked and me. "Look, Y/N, about what I had said earlier..."
"It's okay, Dip." I smile weakly.
He smiles back. "I'm just happy Gideon didn't get into the safe." Suddenly, a there was a rumbling noise, then we were all blasted out the living room. From the hole in the wall, stood Gideon, with the deed in his hand.
"Wait - what?! But, we defeated Bill!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Bill failed me!" Gideon cried. "So I went for plan B, now the Mystery Shack belongs to me, so GET OFF MY PROPERTY!!"
"It's okay guys, this is all part of the dream... Right?" Dipper tried to encourage us but sounded unsure.
This can't be good.

I sat on the couch, waiting for my mom to come home. I was hoping I could get to talk to her and see if Dipper and Mabel could stay over until they get the Shack back. I heard a knock at the door and ran over to open it.
There, stood Bill Cipher in his human form.
I scowled and grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him inside. I slammed him against the wall harshly. I needed answers.
"Who are you, Bill?!" I shouted. He stared at the ground. "Are you that triangle demon or what?! LOOK AT ME!!"
His golden eyes looked into my e/c ones. He sighed. "Yes. I'm a dream demon."
My lip began to quiver and tears formed in my eyes. "Why? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I-"
"I trusted you, Bill! I told you everything!"
"Y/N, I-"
"Why did you hurt my friends? Where's the Bill I know? Where's my best friend?!"
"I'm still your best friend, Y/N!"
"After what you did today?! You hurt my friends, you... You hurt me! Does that not even matter to you?!"
"Listen, I-"
"WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?!" I snapped. It seemed that he did too. He shoved me off of him, and took my place, pinning me to the wall, his hands gripping my wrists.
"I CAME TO WARN YOU, Y/N!" He shouted, his eyes flashed red. "You need to stay away from the Pine's twins - they're bad news!"
I laughed coldly. "Is that so? Because last time I checked, they're my only real friends!"
"Y/N, please! You have to trust me!"
"And why should I?! After you lied to me?! Hurt me?!"
"I'VE GROWN FOND OF YOU! DAMMIT, Y/N! I LOVE YOU!" He snapped. (a/n: omg this is cheesy af 😂)
I went quiet. "But... You're a-"
"Look, it's not entirely impossible for a demon to love. But, it is rare." He muttered. "Please, I'm begging you, stay away from them. Join my side, Y/N."
I clenched my fists. "Never in a million years, Cipher."
He sighed and released me. "So be it." He said. He held out my hand and put something in it. It was a necklace with a long, gold chain and a small triangle pendant with a bright blue jewel in the center. "It'll allow you to summon me on the spot, without any enchantments. If you need me, give me a shout."
As he began to walk out the door, he paused. "Don't you forget, Y/N, a day will come where everything you know and love will change - including your precious Pine Tree." With that, Bill Cipher turned away and fled.

PHEW! That was a loooong chapter! I will try my best to make each chapter under 1000 words, but that's kinda hard to do.
