I stared as the lab Director slumped to his chair as if he had suddenly lost all strength in his lower limbs!

A voice - of Professor X!

"Cease your experiment, Stanley! You will bring unimaginable ruin to your world if you open that gateway!"

He projected into my mind the things that will be if I proceed with the experiment. My dream of bringing the Superhuman into our world.

Destruction! Death of the human race!

I nearly crumbled.

The Director blinked. "So, when will you present your initial findings?"

"I am sorry, the experiment is a failure," I began.
