Kayla's Pov

I looked at Neko lying on the ground. Barely alive. I looked at Vivian. Her eyes welled up with tears. Jake was comforting her. "I-it's not safe here." I said at last. "We have to go. Follow me."

I led them out of the caves. Vivian was still limping from her broken leg. Jake asked to carry Neko so Vivian's leg could rest. However, Vivian refused to let Jake hold her. She carried her sister for miles underground. I am amazed with their bond. As we exited the cave for the first time in months the light was extremely bright and stung my eyes for a moment. I continued to walk to my secret...um....hideout.

Once we arrived the residence (some being hybrid, animal, and human)looked at our new guests in awe. One old man come out of his hollow in the tree and pointed at Vivian. He began to chant.

"She is the hero, the hero in the stories. The one that slayes the Vampires." 

Vivian looked at me. I shrugged it off. And called to my 'healer'.

"MEGAN!!" I screamed "MEGAN!!!" A pig-like hybrid emerged from her hollow in her tree. She tripped and slid on the dirt until she skidded to a stop at my feet.

"Y-yes, Kayla." She was a nervous reck. She always was when new visitors arrived. I showed her Neko and she gasped at how big the bite mark was. Zoe walked back to help Magan. I could tell Vivian was very tired so I showed her where she could sleep. It was my nest. It was in the most sunny spon in the hideout. 

I could tell the others were not happy with the newcomers.

Well, they better suck it up.
