Midnights POV

I sat at my mother's bed side. I've been here for a week. I haven't left. I'm hungry and tired. I refuse to do anything until she wakes up. Cameron, for some reason, won't leave until I am "ok". Whatever that means. Either than the fact that if she dies I will be left with NOTHING and I can't sleep without nightmares, i'm fine.

Vivian's POV

"Hey, Jakeibear?" 

"Yeah." Jake replied

"When will Cameron be back? It's been almost a month! *gasp* I hope nothing bad has happened to him and the dragon-girl."

"I'm sure he's having a grand adventure on his way back." He replied "Don't worry." He added. Worry edging his voice.

"I  won't worry about a thing." I promised

Meanwhile- in the dragon camp- Cameron's POV

I've been helping out around the camp. Helping build things and catch fish. I was always good at that as a human. And I still am as a...whatever I am.

I take water to Midnight everyday while Moon tries to convince her to eat something. 

She never does.

What do I do now?

I need to go back. But I can't. Not until I know she is okay. 

A shriek snapped me out of my thoughts. I immediately ran to where Midnight was. 

"Midnight please. We have to take her away." It was a white and red she-dragon talking to Midnight. She has a amulet. It was white and had a red plus-sign on it. 

"YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!" It was Midnight. She was yelling at the...doctor? dragon. 

"There is nothing more anybody can do for her. Not even the most experienced healers can save her now."She kept a nice calm tone. "I'm sorry." She walked toward the limp, cold, still, dragon body on the soft bed. "She needs to be prepped for burial."

"NEVER!!! SHE CAN'T BE DEAD!!!"

"But she is."

"HOW DO YOU KNOW!!! HOW!!! HOW! I DEMAND TO KNOW!!! HOW!!!"

"How can you not know she's dead. Look, Midnight I'm extremely sorry, but you must rest, you must eat, and you must move on! *sigh* It's what she would have wanted."

"HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS!!! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!" She flew out the door in rage and flew away. To where? I don't know.

What now?
