(before copy/paste)Okay, I have to admit it, Wattpad was being annoying. About an hour ago, I couldn't do anything involving My Works, and so I wrote this chapter on Microsoft Word before updating it on here. But, hey! Everything is fixed now!

(after copy/paste) NOW I see the issue that other users are having... DANG IT this is going to take FOREVER now!!

That morning, Piper woke up extra early, filled to the brim with determination.

You can wait no longer, leader. Flee while you still can. Right the wrong. Save this world. Everything depends on you.

She knew exactly what this meant. She needed to go to Clayton. She needed to find out what truly happened to Amanda and her dad. She needed to follow the prophecy, and fix whatever she was supposed to fix.

Grabbing her backpack, she filled it with supplies she figured she'd need- water bottles, food (plenty of trail mix and dried fruit), girl "supplies" (you know what I mean), blankets, flashlights with extra batteries, and a few bits of extra clothing for different types of weather. She checked to make sure all five of her portable phone chargers and her phone were at 100%. But before she left, she made sure to put a note on her door.

"Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad.

I know that by now I'm already gone with Kayla and Ella, but I just wanted to let you know that I am NOT running away. I love you, and I always will, but right now there is something more important than anything else that I have to do. I'm not telling you where I'm going because I don't want you to come after me. And no, this done not directly involve Amanda's death.

Piper climbed the tree outside Ella's room, and started knocking on the window. After a bit of time, Ella woke up and nearly screamed when she suddenly saw Piper's face.

"What are you doing here? It's 5 o'clock in the morning!" she whispered, opening the window.

"Ella, grab anything you think you might need. We are following the prophecy and leaving. Tonight."

Ella's expression was one of pure shock. "Wait- what? Now? Are you serious?"

Piper sighed, her face completely straight. "I have never been more serious in my entire life. I'll help you pack, and then we're going to Kayla's house.

The things that Ella packed were rather different from what Piper had packed. Ella had also packed fun things, such as Uno and 101 Things To Do On a Bus.

"Smart, we will probably get bored at some point," Piper commented as Ella stuffed everything into her backpack. Ella also wrote a note to her parents, and they climbed out the window.

Kayla liked to sleep with her window open. She claimed that the wind calmed her nerves and helped her fall asleep. Piper didn't know if that was true, but she was glad that the window was open and Kayla's room was on the first floor.

There happened to be a spray bottle next to her bed, and naturally, Ella grabbed it immediately and proceeded to repeatedly spray Kayla in the face until she woke up.

"All right, I'm up, I'm up, I'm up, I said I'm up!!" Kayla sat up in her bed, wiping the water off her face as Piper began to explain the situation to her.

"Okay, then! Let's pack!" Piper and Ella were shocked at how perky Kayla was, especially after she had just gotten up.

"All right," they agreed, and began to help.

Kayla also packed different things from the other two. She packed things that nobody else had thought of, such as toilet paper ("You never know when you might need it," she had pointed out) and medical supplies.

"Right," she announced once she had everything ready to go, "How are we getting to Clayton?"

Piper and Ella looked at one another. "Uh... we hadn't actually thought of that."

Kayla laughed. "It's okay, I knew that you would leave today. I already paid for a bus trip directly to Clayton. We just need to remember our alibi- Amanda was Ella's cousin and Piper's best friend. As for me, I've been to Clayton before, and so I'm your guide."

"Have you actually been to Clayton before?" Ella asked.

"Actually, yeah. I have. I was on a road trip and we got very lost."

Piper was thinking about what Kayla had said. "It's okay, I knew that you would leave today. I already paid for a bus trip directly to Clayton."

"Kayla," Piper began to question, "How did you know that we were leaving today?"

Kayla smiled. "The Shadow told me. Who else would?"

A/N oooo what is this mysterious Shadow? Or is Kayla just being weird and creepy... IDK!! I haven't decided yet! But, hey! The plot is going somewhere!

I actually got the idea of going by bus from Inside Out, I saw it yesterday :)

And you guys should be glad I was motivated! I overcame the obstacles that Wattpad gave me- including the one right now where I cant actually see what I'm typing because of keyboard lag!! Yay! Doesn't' everybody love keyboard lag? (note the sarcasm)I'm serious, this is taking forever.
