Appearance

She stepped into the dusk light, her foot touching the ground toe first as to feel the coldness. She was still half-shrouded in darkness, her brown eyes shown like chocolaty embers in a dying fire.
She wasn't beautiful in the traditional sense, more like strange than anything else. Her head was shaved at the sides and her dark brown mousy hair fell to the right side of her head, revealing pointed ears.
Soft, silky fur came out of those lamb-like ears, and they twitches at every sound, as if to sense everything we cannot.
She stepped forward a bit more, low to the ground, almost animal-like. She bared her teeth, they were sharp, but small, like a cat's needle-like canines. She looked Caucasian, her skin was peach and white, but her shoulders and arms were lined with freckles and sun-kisses that dotted more around he shoulders than her face. She had a few peculiar but small tattoos that you couldn't make out.
Her eyes were deep set and not quite dark. Closer up you could see they weren't completely brown, but hazel. Green crystals danced in her irises and the sunlight streamed through them. They gleamed like emeralds lost in a a sea of mud, they're beauty almost negated. A grey-blue ring circled the iris, but from far away, all of this color muddied together to a dark-golden brown, barely visible in the low light.
In her hand, a tiny spark appeared. It grew as she looked down with those peculiar muddy eyes and it soon became a dancing flame, no bigger than a dollar-coin. It sprang about, dancing between her fingertips, like it had a mind of its own. Her eyes reflected the flame perfectly, and her gaze seemed golden in the light.
Then she swiped her hand and the flame grew. It revealed the rest of the picture as the sun rose. She was wearing a dark beige suit with short sleeves.
Her face was now in view. She had a square jaw and a ganon nose, longer, with a single mole on her right cheek.
She wasn't stunning or ugly, but two set of antlers poked out beneath her shaved head. They were gleaming white, and stuck out sharply.
The fire had grown and then disappeared, but her full form was revealed when she stepped out a bit further.
She had large brown wings, hidden before, but now stretched out in all their glory. You now realize that this person is not an angel, but a demon. Those eyes and those antlers, the fire, symbols of destruction.
Her wings splayed out as if to intimidate, by she stayed back in the dusk light. The feathers looked strangely auburn in the resurrected light. The tips were light-colored, the feathers gleamed like fireflies. The feathers were molting, there were spots where they were missing, like they had been torn, or burned off.
She spread them out further and made a sound from deep in her throat, like a wolf. The base feathers were the same dark brown as her hair, but silver dew droplets hung off the edges. The water, left from the mist of the early morning, gleamed like stars on the soft feathers.
She shook her wings, the powerful muscles easily swooping these giant flying things in the air with no hesitation. The droplets flew and seemed to catch prisms as they landed, making tiny rainbows in the air.
The muscles in her wings went taut and relaxed, and you notice that they aren't normal shaped. They aren't long and as feathery as you might expect. They drag on the ground when relaxed, as if they are almost too big to fit. But, strangely, they aren't that long either. When a stretched out to its full potential, the wings look flat, short and curved, like they were sculpted.
You determine that these wings are meant for speed, and not for distance.
Then, without warning, the demon, Ever, swoops her powerful wings and slams them down. The air makes a ring of dust as she shoots toward the sky, the remaining water falls off of her feathers and falls to the lush grass.
You follow, becuase in this particular scene you are the reader, you are just observing to observe and aren't bound to the gravity and physics of this world. So, yeah.
She shoots high into the air and is gaining fast on the clouds. She hits the cloud line and water covers her body.
New water droplets form at her shoulder blades, they run down her black and are flung off by the movement of muscles form the wings.
The wings are moving fast, and there is almost no in between among wing flaps to glide, it's as though the wings are too short to carry Ever's body without flapping. This confirms the theory earlier that the wings are used for speed, and must use a lot of energy to keep her in the air.
Ever swoops down and weaves among the trees. The wings also duck in and out at high speeds, they look incredibly dangerous if you get too close, as they are moving so fast.
A normal angel, or demon's wings, couldn't have ever gone this fast. Her wings are specifically designed for rapid take-off and very tight aerial maneuvers. They are curved and rounded, which means they need a constant stream of air to push Ever's body up, otherwise she would fall and not be able to catch herself.
Ever suddenly takes a hard right, obviously beginning to tire. Sweat lies down her face, her teeth are bared, and sparks fly out of her chest, seeming to signify that her energy is running low on fuel.
She lands, hard, with her hands splayed out to catch herself as her feet hit the ground. Her wings flap instantaneously to keep her from skidding, steadying her body and bringing her into a fist landing.
She is panting, her eyes wild with exhilaration and the sun of the early morning. Her wings fold into her back, he feathers gleaming with fresh dew and the muscles contracting under the skin.
They squeeze together so tight you can barely notice them if you didn't see them at the right angle, making the curved, shortness of the wings benefit her by letting her hide her wings under her clothes. Her antlers, on the other hand, had to be taken care of by carefully brushing her hair to cover it. She goes to a high school, her identity a secret.
She walks away, taking one last glance at you, the reader, with those chocolaty mud eyes of hers.
Then she takes off into the sunrise, her trail of dew the only remnant of her display.
