28. Sire ♡*
Peter stalked away into the forests, the whisper becoming louder and louder as if the danger was getting closer. On his way to the beach, his shadow appeared next to him, as a companion in the future fight. His hand turned white around his dagger as fear struck him. What was going on? How did anyone get here? Everland was known for being difficult to reach... Suddenly a soft thud made him stop in his tracks. He felt how inside of him, fear was replaced by something else. Power. Whoever tried to get him, he would always be more powerful than them. He practically owned this island. The magic poured through his veins was only made stronger by the enchanting surroundings. His grip on the dagger loosened, his muscles relaxed. A grin broke through, erasing the last traces of an angsty juvenile.
He heard the thuds again and watched from the shadows as a group of men appeared, stalking through the forest. His forest. The darkness inside him boiled, bursted against his skin, desperately wanting to get out after being locked up for the past few days. Peter looked as the King appeared in front of the group, his moves stern and powerful. Peter smirked again when suddenly a light caught his face sending a wave of surprise amongst the visitors.
One of the torches of the soldiers enlightened his face and the whole group stared at him in disbelief. "Peter." the King said, his hands hovering over the handle of his swords that hung on his side.
"King Magnus, please tell me,... Why this honor?" Peter bowed after he stepped away from the shadows. He didn't try to hide the mischievous tone in his voice. He knew exactly what the King was up to and Peter knew the King wouldn't succeed.
"You can go home, Peter. You and Lilith." The soldiers looked at their King, unsure whether to prepare for the attack or for a trip back to the ship. It all depended on Peter.
"Dear, King Magnus." Peter replied, strolling around while never losing the group out of his sight. "What if we don't want to go back? This is our home now." He smirked again as he saw how the King tried to convince him.
"Peter, it's not. This island is dangerous, you have a home, with Merlin, Arthur and Lilith at the court. You can't possibly desire to stay in this savage realm." Peter laughed aloud, causing the soldiers to grasp their weapons either way.
"The court isn't exactly where I want to be, sire. You see, Lily and I got ourself quite comfortable here in our own "savage realm". I suggest you just leave, thanks for stepping by but honestly your visit wasn't entirely wanted." Peter turned around again, waiting for the sound of boots moving but instead he heard how the King pulled out his own sword.
"Fine, Pan, you don't need to come along, but Lilith does. And I will make her." When Peter turned around he saw the fierce King pointing his sword at Peter's chest. "I don't think you're capable of doing that, your majesty."
Peter grinned again, as he folded his arms in front of his chest. "It's not going to happen." He whispered again. With a loud groan, the King attacked. The sword flew through the open air as Peter easily dodged the attack. "Is that all you've got, old man?" There was nothing left of the make-belief politeness from just seconds ago. "I wonder how you ever became a King." He taunted.
The soldiers around him moved closer, surrounding him completely. "After we're finished here, Pan, Arthur and I are going to return Lilith where she belongs." Peter frowned at the sound of his rivals name. His eyes darted around but he didn't see the familiar prince around the King. It struck him they had separated. With a small movement of his wrist he send the shadow, that was still behind him, after the prince.
"Well, this could be an interesting game." Peter responded as without thinking about it, he created burning balls of fire in his hands. With a smirk he stated "Let's play." before the forest was filled with screams of pain and terror.
A/N
But as I was going through some of the older comments on this story, I realized how much of a bunch of lovelies you all are! I forgot some comments and when I saw them I wanted to answer so badly, but I guess that would be kind of freaky after like 2 months.
I also noticed I only had like two reads on the last chapter? What happened? I don't want to lose readers along the way, I promise the story is almost over, we're nearing the end. I guess I should've updated sooner but school is a priority.
I hope you like this chapter, because the end is coming closer...
If you're still with me, don't forget to vote and comment :p
