Grim is from a secret race of shifters who are mercenaries for hire being more ruthless than the mandalorians.

Before the Jedi war Grim was sent become a master Jedi when they found out he was force sensative but when the war happen je was expected to abandon the jedi and fight them but he refused. Being attacked by his own people and family he is locked away in a maximum security prison.
