There is something in the Word about reaping what we sow. I absolutely believe that there are always consequences for our actions, even if they remain hidden for a while, or only occur in eternity. I have experienced this myself, multiple times unfortunately. The hammer always falls, so to speak, but not always in proximity to our sin. It may be weeks or months later. But with bitter regret, the remembrance of my sin haunts me within the consequences. But with obedience, hunger and thirst for righteousness, and surrender to the Holy Spirit - may be found joy in victory.

Cause and Effect

Sin - Agony

Greed - Misery

Selfishness - Chaos and Emptiness

Deadness - Rot

Running to sin - Wrath

Leaning on Him - Peace

Letting go of sin - Relief

Eternal Life - Joy beyond belief
