Chapter 1
"Nico, maybe you shouldn't go." Hazel complained. Nico sighed.
"It's only one hunt. I'll be right back. You know what happens if I don't go." Hazel placed her hands on her older brother's shoulders.
"Alright. But be careful." Nico sighed again.
"I will." Hazel smiled.
"Oh! I have something you should wear. It's cold out." Hazel turned and walked over to the chest they had next to the bed they shared. Not what it sounds like. They were siblings. They shared a bed because they had very little money and were staying in a house with three other families and they got the last bed that was open.
Nico's sister came back with a cloak made of soft, silky fabric. On the outside, the cloak was dark as night while on the inside, it was blood red. Hazel handed it to her older brother. "I was able to save up enough money to make this for you."
Nico took the cloak into his hands and gazed down at it. "Do you like it?"
"Hazel, it's beautiful. I-I love it." Hazel smiled.
"I'm glad to hear that big brother." She gave him a hug before Nico slung the cloak over his shoulders.

"Octavian!" Reyna ordered. "Go with Gwen and patrol the woods." The pale blonde sighed.
"Yes Captain." He said. Octavian made his way to the stables to get his horse. He saddled up on chocolate brown horse.
The creamy yellow horse with a black mane and tail bucked onto it's back legs and whinnied.
"Arion." The stable boy, Frank, snapped. Octavian rode out to meet Gwen.
"I see you decided to join me finally." Gwen sassed.
"Whatever, let's get this stupid chore over with." He grumbled. They rode to the hunting grounds that were marked off with a small, thin river that you could step over.
After a while of riding around the hunting ground, Octavian started to hear a slurping noise. He stopped and looked over to where the disgusting noise was coming from.
"What is it?" Gwen asked. She followed his eyes. She almost gasped.
Bent over the body of a dead animal was boy in black clothing. He had a black cloak that covered his body. He had shaggy black hair and pale skin, and from the looks of it he was pretty small.
"Werewolf." Octavian said. "You go get Reyna. I'll see what I can do to get it under control."
"Got it." Gwen nodded and rode off. Octavian pulled out his spear and walked towards it.
"Stay still." He told the creature. It stopped and stood up. He raised his arm up and wiped the blood off his mouth before dropping both arms to his side. Octavian noticed the claws that had grown out of his fingernails.
"I said, stay still." Octavian repeated. The creature didn't answer. "What's your name?"
"My name has no use to you." The werewolf growled.
"You are on the queen's land. You must follow her laws, and the law states, that you must tell me your name."
"Queen Hera, is no queen to me. She has no rule over me." Octavian approached it. He thrusted his spear at the beast. It turned around and dodged his attack, but Octavian swooped his leg, pulled on his spear, and pressed the point of the weapon to it's chest.
"Octavian!" A voice demanded. The boy turned his head to see Gwen with Reyna next to her on a peanut butter colored horse. Reyna nodded to Gwen, who got off her horse and put her foot on the werewolf's chest. She lifted her hand and knocked on the animal's head. It passed out with a surprised whine.

Hazel was worried. It had been hours. Where was Nico?
"H-he's fine. He said he would be fine. If he said he's fine, he's fine. Right?" Hazel tapped her finger against the window sill impatiently. "That's it. I can't take it anymore."
Hazel pulled her cloak off the rack and slipped it on. The dark blue fabric, soft against her skin. She bolted into the woods and to the hunting ground she knew Nico went to get his meals.
"Nico?" She asked. "Are you here?" Instead of being met with her brother's voice, Hazel was met with a spear at her throat.
"I know you!" Her attacker screamed. "You're that werewolf's sister."
"I don't know what you're talking about!" She hissed. "I've never seen a werewolf before in my life!"
"She tells lies." A woman's voice said from behind the pale blonde boy. Hazel peered at her.
She had long, dark hair in a braid on her shoulder, and a golden helmet along with golden armor. The woman was strong, you could tell. She looked at her dagger as she turned it over in her hand. She had twin greyhounds at her side. Both looked as if they had metal instead of fur and rubies for eyes. They growled and spat at her.
"She knows the boy. You know what to do." The boy grabbed a chain and wrapped it around her arms. Hazel let out a scream, but the boy clapped his hand over her mouth and knocked her out.
