The rest of the journey was spend chatting about his farm, I strangely felt like i knew him all my life.We share a connection that was undeniable.

We made our way across the road to a small park with a few benches. I asked him, 'why is it that you love farming so much?'

'It makes me happy seeing the smiles that comes from persons who eats my produce, its good when persons trust you to invite you at their tables with their family.' I nodded my agreement'

The bench was small every now and again our hands would touch leaving a jolt of electricity through my body and my heart beating faster.

'Earth to Kelly' he snaps his fingers and smiles down on me, 'I was just asking if you would like to have dinner with me'

'Dinner?'

'Yes, I understand if you cant I know you are here to meet someone'

'Oh no, I mean yes' I shake my head to get out of my daze.

'Yes i would love to have dinner with you'

We went to a small but comfortable restaurant a waitress came and pour us water and handed us menus. There wasn't much to choose from so I decided on chicken and chips the only other side was rice and peas and i wasn't up for that.

'I don't like my fries too crispy or too soggy, i need it to be just right' I told the waitress who nodded and finish taking our orders.

'You must be bored listening me go on about my farm all day, tell me a little about yourself'

'There isn't much to tell, I grew with my younger brother, my mom and dad were great when they weren't been a pain in the butt. My childhood was no where as adventurous as yours' I finish with a laugh.

I wanted to tell him how I really grew up but I couldn't not yet at least. I had to get to know him a little more. My last boyfriend was in love with my money he didn't give a shit about me. I hope he can forget me when i finally tell him the truth.

'Where?'

My throat suddenly went dry, and panic was seeping its way in i have no intention of lying to him but what do i do now?... 

'Yo Miles wah deh gwaan man?' a male looks to be the same age as Dontae walks towards us with a young lady at his side.

'Yu finally find yu self a woman, G a who did?' grinning from ear to ear.

Dontae looks over at me apologetically and i gave him a smile reassuring him that it was ok.

'Hi, am Kellyan' with a smile

'Yow Miles dah one ya look like a keeper man'

'Its nice to see you too Fred'

After he leave Dontae explained that Fred was one of his brothers friends who keeps his nose in other peoples business.
