The sun rose proudly over the land, Fallenstar awoke as sunlight filtered into her den. Green-leaf had finally arrived and three new apprentices had been named over leaf-bare and new-leaf, Greypaw had tripled in size and was now almost the same size as the wolves they had encountered. Fallenstar had high hopes for him, he had proven himself to be an excellent fighter and hunter so far. He couldn't climb trees or fight with his claws like the clan could, despite these Fallenstar trained him in new ways in which he could properly fight. Fallenstar heaved herself to her paws, looking down over the camp she spotted Greypaw practicing by himself. A smile spread across the She-Cats face as she leapt down and padded over to him, her apprentice flicked an ear acknowledging she was there before he leapt and snatched a stick in his jaws.
"You're improving every day Greypaw," Fallenstar purred, Greypaw flattened his ears embarrassed at such a praise.
"I'm trying my hardest Fallenstar, it's hard to jump swiftly and make no noise but I find I can chase down my prey better then sneaking and pouncing on it," Greypaw sighed, a few other cats had begun to rise for the day. Fallenstar beckoned for her apprentice to follow her into the forest, he followed catching up to his mentor quickly. They had gone a ways away from camp and came upon a pond that had formed during last nights rain, Fallenstar crouched down and lapped at the sweet refreshing water.
"Hey Fallenstar, I was wondering since you know I'm getting too big for the apprentices den already where would I be best sleeping." Greypaw murmured, Fallenstar sat up and shook out her fluffy paling fur.
"Well we could always make the apprentices den bigger," Fallenstar replied simply, Greypaw shifted his paws uneasily.
"What if the wolf attack then they will be able to get in and hurt the other apprentices and I can't have that just because of my size!" Greypaw whined and slumped the the ground with a sigh, Fallenstar sighed and nuzzled her apprentice.
"Don't worry we will figure something out, since we are out here let us hunt for the clan shall we?" Fallenstar suggested nudging her large apprentice, he heaved himself to his paws and crouched following his mentor into the forest.

The day dragged on and soon the two had enough prey to feed two clans, Greypaw carried most of the prey back his his long maw while Fallenstar carried what she could. The clan looked happy when the two returned and Echomist looked happier then ever that her adopted son was doing so well, Fallenstar grabbed a rabbit and headed over the her spot to eat.
"Greypaw come eat with me!" Fallenstar called, Greypaw looked shocked at such an offer and quickly grabbed arabbit for himself as he usually ate rabbits as they had more meat. The two ate in silence but Greypaw kept glancing over at his siblings, they we chatting away sometimes glancing over at him and he couldn't help but feel they were talking about him.
"Hey Fallenstar I can't help but feel like the clan talks about me while I go out hunting or marking borders, I think it's because I'm so different," Greypaw sighed taking a half conscious bite from the rabbit, Fallenstar looked at her apprentice shocked.
"They are your clanmates so don't fear, whatever they say about you being different doesn't matter, you are kin to me and will be treated as a normal apprentice unless they want to have me claw their ears off!" Fallenstar meowed slightly louder then usual as so all cats could hear her, they glanced over looking confuse before returning to their conversation. Fallenstar and Greypaw continued to eat in silence after that, the sun had just reached sunset when Fallenstar rose to her paws.
"Greypaw come with me to starclans river as I wish to speak with starclan and I want you by my side to protect me," Fallenstar purred as she stretched, Greypaw rose to his paws and nodded.
"Why me and not your deputy or a properly trained warrior?" Greypaw questioned as he followed his leader out of camp, Fallenstar kept her eyes ahead her pace steady.
"Because I trust you more then I trust my deputy sometimes, she is getting old heck she is older then me! And then most of my good warriors are off marking borders or hunting so I'm out of options," Fallenstar replied in a sweet tone, Greypaw nodded and didn't ask any further questions. The duo continued well into the night, they had forgotten to get travelling herbs but they had eaten already so they wouldn't need to eat until the following morning. Moonhigh soon arrived and the two had arrived at their destination, a lovely river flowed here and it reflected starclans might clearly. Fallenstar crouched beside the river and began to lap at the cold and refreshing water, she soon fell still as she walked among starclan cats. Greypaw sat not far away as he watched his leaders sides rise and fall, she seemed much more at peace then she had in moons since the wolves had taken over a nearby territory. They enemy had begun to steal prey from the clans territory more and more but since it was Green-leaf prey was plentiful but it wouldn't last forever, Greypaw had focused his spare time to training so he could fight the wolves and make them leave the clan alone forever. Soon Fallenstar awoke from her trans, her eyes filled with fear. Snarling came from a nearby bush making Greypaw spin around snarling in return, one large male wolf and a smaller much younger male began to creep out of the bushes. Fallenstar ran to her apprentices side her back arched ready for a fight, Greypaw knew there was no talking his way out of this one so he lowered his body towards the ground to protect his neck and lunged.
