A PICTURE OF KHLOE UP THERE.

"I SEE YOU ALWAYS, ALL THAT'S LEFT IS TO HEAR YOU" ~ Khloe Diamond.

KHLOE DIAMOND
Have you ever had that one friend you miss so much and can't seem to forget about? It's like they can't just stay out of your memory regardless of how much time had passed. It's weird how you still see them in your dreams.

Eight years I guess, I still wish he would show up before me one day to explain why he suddenly disappeared. Chris and I grew up together, we were the picture perfect best friends, weird how he never deemed it fit to tell me he was leaving.

I saw him in my dreams today again, it was that same weird dream. He was running towards me in the dark but as I began moving towards him, he started moving backwards. I couldn't make out what he was saying, he looked sad and helpless.

I woke up from my sleep with tears rolling down my cheeks, this happens almost every time I have this dream. I just want to see further into it, I want to know why he was withdrawing from me, and what he was saying.

"That same dream? Is it like a way of asking you to help him?" Hilda asked me.

I couldn't tell exactly what that dream meant but I made sure to tell my friends each time. They all knew Chris, we all knew when he suddenly disappeared with no trace.

"I don't know either." I said staring out the window of her office, looking at nothing in particular. Just me lost in my thoughts.

"How about seeing a therapist? Might be just in your head you know." Fiona suggested but there was no way I was seeing a therapist. If there was anything I was sure of, it's the fact that there was nothing wrong with me.

"I've had that same dream for six years, you think it's just in my head? I wake up in tears all the time, I need no therapist Fiona, I need to find Chris." I replied her and walked out of the office.

I could hear them say somethings as I left, like how I was beginning to go crazy. I wasn't crazy though, I think Hilda was more correct, maybe it was his way of telling me to help him. How could I help him though, if I didn't know where he was.

"Miss. Diamond, may I have a word with you?" I turned back to see Mary. How much I hate the guts of this woman.

"Miss. Jordan." I replied her with my head up, making sure to show total confidence.

"The book "Shadows" is causing a big issue online. Bookstores are complaining it's not selling, while the public is complaining about it's cover being too dull." She explained to me.

"The cover? Who worked on the cover?" I asked her right back. I always made it clear to them how important a book cover is. Despite the saying not to judge a book by its cover, people do just the exact opposite.

"Miss. Lawrence." She replied. Fiona!

"First have the media team do their job and get rid of all nasty things about the book online. Have the marketing team deal with the bookshops. I'd have it with Miss. Lawrence." I told her.

"Of course." She muttered.

"What was that supposed to mean?" I asked her but she only stayed quiet and walked out. I stormed off into Hilda's office where I had just left, Fiona was still there with her and they were still gossiping about me when I walked in on them.

"Really? Have you seen reviews on the "Shadows" book? Oh, I forgot, you have been too busy analyzing if I need to meet a therapist." I said as seriously as I could.

"Are you here to talk about work or your personal life?" Fiona replied with an eye roll.

"I wouldn't care what you think, just first, this is a workplace and not a time to gossip. If you were busy working, you would understand that the book is being rejected because of it's cover which you made."I told her, suppressing my urge to yell!

"Calm down Khloe, please." Hilda told me but I stood my ground, my head high expecting her to reply but instead, she rushed to Hilda's work computer to check out what I was talking about.

"Too dull? Well, the author wanted it that way. She kept rejecting every other cover I made." Fiona stated firmly. I shook my head as that wasn't a valid excuse.

"As a designer, it is up to you to convince the author because you know best. It is your responsibility to reach out to me if she was proving difficult. Hilda is the head of your design team, you could have informed her. That is your job!" I yelled at her.

She stared at me in anger but couldn't talk back because she knew I was right.

"How are you going to take responsibility for this Miss. Lawrence?" I asked her, arching my right brow.

She kept stuttering but in the end couldn't find anything to say.

"I'm sorry." She replied.

"Sorry would not solve this! Both of you should deal with this, I just want to see results! I don't care how you do it." I told them and walked out.

I was yet to reach my office when my phone rang, I sighed as I saw the caller ID 'Mrs. Harts'.

I'm in big trouble!

"Ma'am" I said the moment I picked up. I was quick to put my phone far away from my ear knowing she was going to yell.

"How could you let this ever happen? What is this I'm seeing on the internet?" She yelled.

"I'm sorry ma'am, we are working on it." I assured her.

"That is not good enough Khloe! Get your asses working, I want all of these erased immediately!" She yelled.

"Yes ma'am." I replied, I turned back and headed for the media team. This is going to be a very long day.
