PICTURE OF CHRIS UP THERE!
IF I EVER GET TO ESCAPE MY LITTLE BONDAGE, THERE IS NO COMING BACK ~ Chris Landon.
KHLOE DIAMOND
He walked towards me, tears in his eyes. I tried moving closer but with every step I took, he moved backwards. I wondered why he was running from me. Behind him was a woman I had never seen and for the first time, I heard him.
"Please save me." he whispered in fear. The woman behind him was so scary but I couldn't exactly make out her face.
I woke up all sweaty and in tears, my heart racing. I finally went further into the dream after six years, what does this indicate? Was it because Hilda suggested he was seeking my help? Do I need to see a therapist or psychiatrist for real?
I was brought out of my train of thoughts by my ringtone. Fiona! Great!
"Morning." I said
"Morning, I uhm needed your permission to invite the writer over, emails aren't working for us anymore, she just won't bend." She said, her voice sounded stressed and worried.
"Of course.... uhm.... I'm sorry for yelling at you yesterday... I...."
"I get it, your are frustrated." She replied. Can she ever stop being so blunt?
"I wouldn't say that but fine" I told her and ended the call.
I threw my head back with an heavy sigh, another stressful day, hopefully, there wouldn't be any other problems.
Everyone was busy with work already when I arrived, it's going to be yet another busy day for everyone. The failure of just one book could mean the end for this company and I'd have to take the fall for it as the head of the NYC branch.
Before thinking of settling down for the day, I headed for Fiona's work space. She was busy trying to create several proposals while she awaited the author, I guess.
"Good morning, again." I said and she welcomed me with a smile.
If there was one thing I loved about our friendship, it's the fact that we do not hold grudges. We understand every situations and each other's feelings.
"It's good you are finally here, we got a call from the author and he would be here soon." She told me.
I couldn't have been mire happy in that moment, except "He?" I asked her in surprise to which she nodded like she totally expected that reaction.
"The name was supposed to be Lanna." I stated and she nodded once again.
"He said it's just a pen name." She explained.
"Well, it's just a good thing he agreed to show up, make sure to inform me when he arrives" I told her to which she nodded and focused on her work.

"Morning mom." I said as she came down the stairs for breakfast. She had her usual tight lipped smile that I never liked, it just seemed so fake.
"Morning! You are late." She said with her oh so serious face.
"I get to tell myself that." I replied her hoping to consume my food as quickly as possible.
"You'd have to meet with the designers at Olle Publishing today, they wouldn't get off my neck." she told me.
I wanted to say no, to just refuse. My hands trembled at the thought of refusing, I fear her reaction. She got seated and picked up her cutleries to eat but holding on to the knife with more force. More like letting me know how easily she could slit my throat if I dared to say no.
"But wouldn't it be best if you go? I mean it's your....."
"I said!" She yelled making me shiver, her hold on the knife tightened. "You'd have to, it wasn't a suggestion darling." She added with a soothing voice.
Her switch was so good, how she goes from crazy to sweet, more like a psycho.
"Of course." I replied nodding vigorously.
"Whatever you do, do not change the book cover."She said in a scary tone and ended with a smile. I just want to get out of this house.
"Alright, see you later" I told her and left as quickly as I could. Once I was out, I let out a heavy sigh of relief. If only she'd let me move out, she is just so not normal.
Olle Publishing, I mapped out the location and it was an eight hour drive! Oh, how great, two days away from that woman. I got into my car and drove off. This could be my chance to never return.
I don't know why she is like that though, like an emotionless human. No, she couldn't possible be human, more like a breathing statue.
She has that looks that could kill, she never truly smiles. It's more like she wants everyone at her mercy, everything she says has to be final. I've lived my whole life like I was in a prison. No friends, no fun, I was home schooled and now, all I do is run the company my father left behind. This time, I might really just leave and never return.
My phone beeped and I checked it as I drove, it was a text from her.
"Don't consider running away this time, you can never escape me. You are mine!"
I sighed. How did she happen to know just what I was thinking?
I can make it this time.
My heart raced as I thought about it, what she was capable of doing. I remembered the last time I tried escaping.

I kept checking the time, he should be here by now. It was already 2pm, I wondered what time he was arriving. People were going crazy with the criticism and blaming our company.
Some were saying we ruined the authors hard work with our unprofessionalism. We made a terrible cover and now the book is being rejected all over.
Hypocrites!
They are the same ones who ain't buying the book and still blaming us. Two-faced idiots! The writer wasn't even taking this seriously, he is messing up our name for his own selfish reasons but we just have to bow to him uhn?
My phone rang for the umpteenth time today. Mrs. Harts again.
Quit pestering me woman!
If only I could just yell at her as much as she does me. She sits all the way there in England thinking everything is so easy to settle.
"Yes ma'am." I said
"It's getting worse Khloe, you have to prove yourself up to the task! I can't let you ruin the name I have built for years!" She said sternly. She was telling this time, thankfully but it was still equally annoying.
"We just have to see him first." I told her
"You had better act fast." She told me. I mimicked her in a hushed voice before replying with a "Yes ma'am." After which she hung up.
"Fionaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed in frustration! Look the mess she got me into.
I stormed off to her workspace where she was busy making a call. I waited in front of her until she was done.
"Where is he?" I asked her
"Won't make it today, he drove down all the way from Bretton, an 8 hour drive. He is definitely arriving at night." She explained.
I held in the urge to insult her because all she just said was crap!
"Why drive? He could have booked a flight, we could have booked him a flight." I asked utterly shocked at his obvious lack of concern for the situation at hand. As well as how ridiculous it sounded.
"Wondered the same." she replied and I sighed.
"Arrange with him so we can meet at whatever hotel he'd be staying. Anything can happen overnight. Please" I told her and stormed off.
Two years working in this company and she still has to get everything broken down for her. If she wasn't one of my best friends, I would have fired her long ago.
I breathed in and out, and continued repeating that until I felt relaxed. What a day!
