Khloe and I sat before the doctor which she appear to be very close with. She never mentioned being close with the doctor but anyways, that wasn't the main point at the moment.

The doctor explained to me about my condition and I couldn't help but wonder who did this to me and why.

"What is the solution? I mean, is there a cure?" Khloe asked him and thankfully, he nodded.

"He has to undergo hypnosis and try visiting his past but I can not guarantee a hundred percent that it would actually work". He explained.

That was a mix of good news with bad news.

"A 50:50 chance!" I said and he nodded.

"I would love to try it out at least" I told him.

"I will help schedule a session with a doctor I know. By the way, here is the result of the DNA test". He said directly to Khloe.

This was my issue but he speaks as if it was Khloe's. I don't know why but their closeness angered me, even though he was trying to help me.

I was informed about the result and brought Khloe with me because I couldn't see it alone. He handed the envelope to her and she passed it to me.

He could have just given me directly.

I slowly opened the envelope in fear of what I was about to find out. It would really kill me to realize she was my mother after all.

I carefully read the details of the result and passed it to Khloe without a word.

"She isn't your mother?" Khloe said! She looked horrified.

Yes, I had wished she wasn't my mother but at the same time, it was scary!

"What happens to aunt Lanna then?" The doctor asked sounding quite familiar with my mom.

"Did you know my mom?" I asked the doctor.

"Yes, I knew your mom and was close to you! Chris who had a secret crush on Khloe and Khloe who had a secret crush on Chris. It's actually good to see you two together again" he replied.

So I had a crush on her even back then.

"He had a crush on me?" Khloe asked and he smiled nodding.

"We would get to the root of everything but first, Chris needs his memory back". The doctor said and I agreed.

My memory must be a very important key to finding out the truth.

"You can always meet Chris alone henceforth, I have done my part" Khloe told the doctor who looked exactly as confused as I was.

"What do you mean? I thought we would go through this together" I asked her.

"I promised to help and that's what I have done! You can get the rest together yourself!" She replied.

My heart was torn! Was I losing the only person I had left? I was still mourning Annie, not Khloe again.

"How about someone to rely on? Company? A friend?" I asked her but she didn't reply.

She turned to the doctor and thanked him for his time.

"I hope we get to see soon like you promised" she asked the doctor.

"Chris shouldn't be left......"

"This weekend? You really should visit!" She said cutting him off.

The doctor noticed she didn't want to talk about it so he decided to forget it and nod!

"This weekend it is" he told her.

She was about leaving in her car when I decided I needed to talk to her. She didn't reply me back inside, was she really going to leave me?

"Khloe!" I called out to her making it in time before she shut her car door.

"Chris!" She replied looking completely uninterested.

"I need you!" I pleaded with her which earned me an eye roll.

"I don't want to be with you Chris! I'm trying hard to stop loving you! I don't want to, so spending anytime with you is bad for me!" She explained.

How harsh!

"So you love me! I love you too! What is the problem then?"

"Trust! I can't trust you anymore Chris, so please let me be!"

"This is about the engagement with Annie, right?"

"Have a good life Chris" she told me, shut her door and drove off.

After running after her car which I knew I could never match up with, I gave up and left.

It's been four days since I left Chris, since I turned Will down. That was also how long Will and I haven't spoken. I get it, he was mad at me.

Truth was, as much as I still liked Chris, I was starting to get attached to Will and these days since he had been ghosting on me had been one of my worse days.

"What exactly did you do?" Hilda asked me.

Why would she automatically believe that I was in the wrong, what if he was?

"The other day he came, I turned down being his date to a party" I explained.

She and Kelvin exchanged glances and then turned back to me. I wondered what the problem was, have they never seen someone turning down an invite?

"Why?" She asked me.

"Have you met Williams Houston? A freaking wealthy man? Have you met me? Khloe Diamond, a middle classed woman who house isn't half the size of what he calls his small house? Imagine what sort of people would be at that party! How little I would feel amongst them" I told them but they couldn't seem to process it.

They only stared at me like I was dumb or something. Why wasn't anyone getting the point of this?

"Khloe, that is an opportunity to meet people of high status" Kelvin told me.

"Like the governor whose birthday they were celebrating! Did you see the news? The people that were there?" I asked him and he facepalmed himself.

"Who cares? You are Will's date! No one would look down on you". He emphasized.

"Yes! Because of Will and not because of me!" I told him.

They both sighed giving up on the argument! I was right after all.

"Did you tell him?" He asked me.

"No way! How could I?"

"What else happened?" He asked.

I wondered how he knew something else happened asides that.

"I turned down shopping".

"Oh my goodness Khloe! Are you insane? Shopping!" Hilda yelled.

Why was she taking this personal?

"What else happened" Kelvin asked again.

I explained how he told me about just returning from a business trip and his speech on making time for the people you love.

"What else happened?" Kelvin asked.

What exactly was his problem with what else happened?

"Why do you keep asking that?" I asked in frustration.

"Because as a man, all of what you said might hurt and it might cause a change in my attitude but wouldn't make me ghost on the woman. So, something else must have happened! Something that annoyed and hurt him at the same time".

I sighed!

I explained to him about meeting Chris!

"Did he know it was Chris?" Kelvin asked and I nodded.

"Apparently I mentioned his name. He also waited until my ride came and watched me leave!". I explained.

"Bingo! That's the height of it sister" he told me shaking his head.

"Why not just call!" Hilda suggested but I just shook my head.

"This was what you did with Chris. Maybe if you had reached out, you would have understood better and just maybe he would have had the opportunity to tell you about his engagement". Kelvin told me.

I actually found his words rather annoying and also correct at the same time. I was pissed because he was right but the truth was, Chris had the major faults.

"Are you saying it was my fault?" I asked him.

"Partially" he replied.

"Whose fault was it that Alicia married Anderson?" I asked him.

Not that I was trying to remind him of his old wounds but I felt it could help me learn something. For me, it was Alicia who wasn't patient!

"Hers but that doesn't change the fact that I was partially at fault too". He replied.

Hilda was starting to seem uncomfortable at the mention of Alicia. She knew Alicia back then when Kelvin used to date her.

"How?" I asked anyway.

"I was mad at her, I should have reached out but like Will, I didn't. I moved away without telling her about it. I wanted to act like a man, I was expecting an apology from her but all I got was a mail about her getting married only after three months". He explained.

I could tell he was still sad about this and was hoping it wouldn't cause a big deal once they arrive today.

"If I had called first, if I had told her I was leaving, if I hadn't been too proud, we might not have ended this way. That fact is why I sometimes blame myself". He added.

"Whatever! The point here is, call Will before it's too late!" Hilda said already irritated by the conversation.

Maybe I would call him but before then we have visitors because the bell just rang. The truth is, I hope this ends well.

I went to the door quickly to see Anderson, Alicia and their twins outside. The moment the kids sighted me, they jumped at me screaming "Aunt Khloe".

I smiled as I played with them.

"I miss you two" I told them and like the kids they were, they just ran inside.

I welcomed Anderson and Alicia hug while Anderson went in, Alicia waited behind.

"Are you sure this is fine? This is the first time we would be seeing since he moved. Truth is, I don't know how I'd feel seeing him again". Alicia confessed to me but I just assured her it was fine.

As we were about heading inside, we heard Kelvin's voice.

"What the hell are you doing here?" We heard him ask.

"Kelvin, it's been a while". Anderson told him calmly but Kelvin being who is wouldn't take that's.

"Why are you here? How brave of you!" Kelvin replied him.

I hurried inside while Alicia who didn't have the courage stayed back.

I saw him admiring the kids who looked terrified by his outburst.

"Why do they look so much like their mother?" He asked rhetorically as he looked at the kids with love.

His expression had a million words written on them.

"Kelvin!" Alicia who had somehow found the courage to come in said.

The moment Kelvin locked eyes with her, hell broke loose. Hilda's expression all through this left me worried.
