TRUE, I DO NOT KNOW HER BUT WHY DO I FEEL ODDLY CONNECTED TO HER ~ Chris Landon.
KHLOE DIAMOND
The first question I asked you was if you ever had that one friend you miss so much and can't seem to forget about? It's like they can't just stay out of your memory regardless of how much time had passed. It's weird how you still see them in your dreams.
Now, I'd love to ask this. What if that friend has forgotten you, not to talk about your existence?
I woke up with a banging headache.
"I'm never drinking again in this lifetime" I said as I held on to my temples. Memories of last night events came rushing in and I remembered, Chris!
I hurried downstairs to my phone making sure the call was real and...... there it was! It happened! It really happened! I sank into the couch wondering what ever happened. How could he?
There was this urge to call Fiona and Hilda but I don't want them getting too distracted and lose to him today. I just know that I will get to the bottom of this.

Khloe Diamond! Doesn't sound one bit familiar, why did she make it sound like I was supposed to know her. She seemed to know me though.
I got ready earlier than planned hoping I could get to see her, just maybe I can place the face. Turning on the map, I drove down to the company.
It was 8:24AM, most of them were just settling in. I made my way to the front desk where a pretty lady stood with a wide smile. Pretty ladies at every front desk of every establishment, nice move!
"Good morning sir, how may I be of help?" She asked still smiling.
Fake smiles!
"I'd love to see Miss. Diamond." I told her.
"You can see me, Miss. Diamond is yet to arrive." I heard someone say from behind. Are there only pretty ladies in New York? Because these women are just so pretty.
"And you are?" I asked her with a straight face. I was here for business, well, except I want to see the Khloe Diamond.
"Hilda Manchester, the head of our design team." She replied with a fake smile plastered on her face too.
"I see."
"The designer in charge of your book would join us shortly." She said as we headed for her office, I guess.
"It doesn't matter though, you can always pass my no along to her." I replied.
She stopped abruptly in her steps, almost making us collide. She then turned around to face me, her face was filled with worry. I could see it clearly despite how much she tried to hide it.
"This wouldn't just affect us, it would also affect you" she told me.
I felt bad for their situation , this is a tough spot for me too but I fear what mom would do this time. Before I could reply her however, yet another lady came over to us running with the only true smile I've seen since I arrived.
"Hilda, big news!" The lady said stopping to stare at me for a moment. There was this look she gave me, I also got it from Miss. Manchester earlier but ignored it. It's a look of uncertainty, I guess.
"Can it wait?" Miss. Manchester asked her to which she shook her head.
"All bookstores requested "shadows" returned to them. There seem to be very huge request for the book from fans. I don't know how it happened." She told her. I felt relieved, I thought I might be a really bad person here today but if there truly is a GOD, I thank him.
"Just great. This is the writer, Lanna." Miss. Manchester told the other lady who seemed surprised. They suggested I waited for Miss. Diamond, so we all went to Miss. Manchester's office to wait.
They kept treating me like royalty while I waited, I could hear them whisper to themselves but I tried not to be nosy. If only I could just get a place to smoke.

Hilda informed me about his presence so I rushed as much as possible to make it. For one, the book and then, us. After the bad news I got this morning, I really wished he doesn't get to be yet another bad news by still not recognizing me in person.
I ignored almost every greetings I got on my way to Hilda's office, my mind was completely far away from here. I just wanted to see him.
He must have grown so tall and handsome, I wanted to hear those voice of his that has become so deep. I wanted to scream at the top of my voice that I was his best friend and that I had a crush on him but never got to tell him.
I wanted to tell him about everything I have achieved and lost. About my senior year experience without him, how hard and lonely it was. If only he would remember.
I barged into Hilda's office and found him seated, patiently waiting. With our acknowledging Hilda, I went straight to where he sat and said
"Let's talk."
He got up from his seated position and replied with a smile "Oh, you are finally here!"
He looked extremely hot, I know handsome but this is hot. He was way taller than I was, just as I predicted. He came unexpectedly close to me, I wondered what he was up to.
Did he finally recognize me?
He bent to my face, he was so close, I I could have sworn he wanted to kiss me but he just stared at me and shook his head.
"I still don't know you." He finally said.
It felt as though my heart was ripped into a million tiny pieces. It couldn't be, did he have amnesia? I was still in my thoughts when I noticed him walking away.
"So we can change the cover?" I asked him who had his back to me already. He turned back, and with a straight face he said
"I said no."
"The book is selling out!" Fiona said, I turned around and noticed her presence for the first time since I entered.
"You heard that." He said arching right brow. He seemed to be teasing me for some reason, does he find all of these fun?
I walked up to him ignoring whatever he or Fiona said, this is way beyond just the book. I looked up to him with a completely straight face, I could give any emotions for fear he'd see through me.
"This isn't just about you. We lost a huge deal today because of you" I told him taking a step with each word I said until I was up so close.
"Bet you are ain't doing your job well" he replied.
"Because of your book, your fans. Because you are nothing but an obnoxious, selfish jerk" I told him, still taking a step with each word I said, and with each step I took forward, he took one backwards until he had his back to the wall.
I slammed my hand on the wall real close to his face, he took a quick look at my hand and smiles in amusement. Was this funny to him.
"Khloe!" Hilda called out but I raised my other hand to shut her up.
"How are you going to take responsibility for it" I asked him.
We were standing so close I could feel the heat from him, his lovely smile not leaving his handsome face. He pulled me into him by the waist with one of his hands and said;
"I know I'm so handsome, you trying out seduction now? Good news, it's working, so what do you want?"
What crap is he talking about?
"Speak up" he whispered in my ear.
Now who is seducing who?
My heart was racing, I've had a lifetime crush on him and he was making me want to have him for breakfast.
"Change the cover" I whispered back. Way to go Khloe, you couldn't manage to get your voice.
"Ooooops. Not that, I can't do that for you" he replied oh so sweetly.
"Fine! I will" I told him finally getting my game back on, with my face as straight as possible.
"Don't you dare" he replied.
"I have a 40% authority over every work you make" I reminded him, just in case he forgot.
"And I have 60. I have the final say" he replied.
"Let me go" I told him trying to force myself out of his grasp knowing fully well I had lost this battle but he held me even firmer.
"Don't touch my work" he warned me with a death glare.
"Let me go" I repeated, struggling with him but he only kept keeping me in place.
"We need to come to an agreement" he said.
"Fine!" I replied and spat at him. He finally let go of me and walked out in anger.
Not only does he not remember me, he's changed!
"What has come over you Khloe?" Hilda asked yelling at me.
"That was Chris. Chris Landon" I said pacing on one spot.
"No way! I he did seem familiar, I just wasn't sure." Fiona said
"He doesn't remember me, nor you guys!" I told them.
"How? Has he got amnesia?" Fiona asked.
I shook my head saying "I don't know but I think so".

I wiped my face as I walked out of the office. How much strength and confidence she had got for a woman as tiny as she is.
It was so weird how oddly familiar she felt, I could remember the name, nor the face, although familiar but when I held her, I felt a rush of emotions. It was an odd connection and familiarity.
Was I supposed to know her? Did I end up in a parallel universe on my way here? Am I in a dream? Or have I got amnesia without knowing?
There was no limit to the amount of questions that ran through my head as I walked out to the parking lot.
