Jesus these are brutal. Whether it's which show is the best, who's the cutest character, or what's the better ship Fangirls will rip you apart. They're crazy.

I used to go into fandom group chats trying to connect with people who like the same whatever as me and (to quote JonTron) "Ech".
Seriously. There were "go kill yourselves" and "bitch" and various other insults and slurs being thrown around. The kill yourselves were enough to make me leave and I can't imagine what else happened when I left.

These are fictional characters and ships. These shows are not real. Nor are the people in your games and books.

Even when your fighting over real people just realize they don't know you so you can fucking chill.

The real question is, is a fandom (band, show, movie, whatever) really worth friends?
More importantly, is a fandom really worth the fight? Because that shit looks tiring. Having to fight over fiction with anyone who dares say something against your favorite anything.
