Tessa's POV

Jake had just come down the stairs, but he wasn't with Rosie. That meant she was still upstairs and my duty as her roommate was to make sure she was okay. I walked past Nathan and Jake as Jake said, "Go ask her yourself." Nathan looked confused. He started asking Jake what the deal was, but their voices faded as I walked up the stairs.

I opened the door to see Rosie on the floor, nearly passed out from crying so hard. Immediately, I scooped her into my arms. She cried into my shoulder with unsteady breaths. We sat for almost ten minutes before someone else opened the door: Nathan. "Rosie! Tessa, what's happening?" He had panic in his voice. I don't know what happened up there, but Rosie is literally passed out and he doesn't seem to care." Erika nodded her head affirmatively. I rushed out the door, then drove to the hospital. Nathan carried Rosie to the front desk and I talked to the woman. "Hi. My friend Rosie passed out, I think she might be dehydrated, she was crying a lot." The woman spoke into a walkie talkie before a stretcher was brought out for Rosie. We tried to follow them back, but they wouldn't let us. Apparently only 'family and partners of a Fiancé status or higher' are allowed back. So, Nathan claimed to be her husband to be, and I told them I was her adopted sister, but only because her parents took me in when I was ten and that there was no paperwork. My story was a lot more complicated than his.

Either way we were allowed back. We sat there for hours before they informed us that Rosie was...
