Scully showed up to her and Mulder's shared office at 6:21 am and jumped when she bumped into Mulder at the door.

"Jesus, Mulder, you scared me," she said with a chuckle.

"Sorry." He came up to her and gave her a peck on the lips.

"Don't Mulder, someone might see us."

"So?"

"So? Do you want us to get fired? We work together and Skinner would flip a tit!" She pushed through him to get to his desk and sat down in his worn out chair, setting her legs on top of his desk with her arms crossed.

"Making yourself at home? And by the way I'm perfectly secretive with our relationship, I will never let us get caught."

"Mmmhm. So what do you have for me today?"

"A slideshow!! About invisible men who disappear off the face of the earth with no scientific explanation."

"Typical," she scoffed.

Mulder set up the slideshow and talked on and on about nonsense that Scully wasn't even paying attention to half the time.

"Wow, Mulder that was amazing I'm questioning my whole existence right now."

Mulder rolled his eyes, "you weren't listening."

"What did you expect? that was complete bs!"

"Scully we have to have some lead on this case!"

"Well why don't we just ask questions as to where he would most likely go if he'd run away and ask people the last place they saw him like normal investigators do?!"

"Because, Scully that's boring!"

Scully laughed, "Mulder, you're such a kid!"

"No, you're a kid!" He ran over to her and started to poke her sides and she belched out a loud screech and fell out of the chair, laughing and holding her sides.

"Stop, Mulder I'm going to pee my pants!"

Now Mulder can't stop laughing and stopped his actions.

Scully got up and kissed him deeply on the lips.  Mulder reciprocated and pulled her to him, deepening the kiss. Just then the door to their office swung open and revealed skinner's assistant in the doorway, mouth agape.

"I-um I was," stumbling over her words, she started to fidget with her fingers and bolted to the elevator.

"Shit." Mulder got up and ran after her, leaving a confused Scully behind still trying to process what had just happened.

"Arlene! Wait up!" Mulder sprinted towards her and she finally stopped and turned towards him.

"I'm telling assistant director Skinner everything that I saw!"

"Please don't do this I will do anything for you not to."

"Sorry agent Mulder, but this is my job and I wouldn't be fulfilled if I didn't tell my boss everything."

"Yes, but he doesn't need to know this, it will ruin me and Scully's life!"

Both of them were walking side by side heading directly towards skinner's office.

Skinner walked out the door to his office and by this time Mulder ran with defeat the opposite direction back to their shared office where he left Scully.

Reaching the door he looked at a dazed Scully with watery blue orbs staring back at him.

"Scully? Whats wrong?"

"Mulder...it's Alex, he's the woman's missing husband."

Mulder was lost for words and was a bit confused.

"But that-that can't be possible."

The phone rang and Mulder picked it up in one swift movement.

"Hello?"

"Mulder! You and Scully in my office now!!"
