(Y/n) had finally reached Reim and reunited with Sinbad. After the reader learns more about the flirty nature she and Sinbad share, she is met with Sinbad's new friends and once again meets the boy who attacked her two years ago. (Y/n) still doesn't like him, but she has compromised for Sinbad's sake. In the end, the others go in leaving the siblings alone, and now come face to face with an old friend... and foe.
Regular POV
"It looks like the family's all back together again, how nice," a voice commented cheerily.
You whipped around, immediately infuriated. "Yunan!"
Sinbad walked out beside you, letting the door shut behind him. "Yunan?" He greeted him. "It's been a while."
"So it has," he answered mysteriously. "How've you been, the both of you?"
"Fine without you," you growled.
Sinbad looked taken aback. "Woah, (N/n)! What's the problem?"
"He's my problem!" You raised your voice, referring to the blond standing silently in front of you two.
Sinbad raised an eyebrow. "Did something happen between the two of you?" He made a pervy face.
Yunan gasped and turned pink. "No, I-I would never...!" He ended up falling to his knees, like he was bowing, and started bawling his eyes out. "Sinbad, why would you accuse me of that?" He lifted his head up, revealing eyes full of tears.
You, on the other hand, became even more furious. "You think I'd do things like that with this freak?" You shouted at him, pointing a finger at the blond on the ground. "He sent you into a dungeon! A palace of death! He made you leave your family! Your family, Sinbad! The brother I knew would've never done that!" You vented out what you'd been holding in for years, the origin of your hate for Yunan.
The grape head stares at you in shock. "Is that what you've been thinking this whole time? That I was forced to leave?" He asked, his voice annoyingly calm and collected. "Yunan hasn't done a thing to me. He helped me discover the power I need to achieve my dream. Besides, I'm still alive. After all the times we've fought together... I thought you'd have more faith in me, (Y/n)." His eyes held a bit of disappointment.
"I-it wasn't about faith..."you corrected. "I..." You decided to play the pity card. "You know my early childhood... you know I don't like to be alone," you said, your eyes becoming pools of pain and loneliness.
It worked. His eyes softened, and he placed a hand on your head. "I'm sorry. I admit I might have been a tad naive, but it still all worked out in the end."
You nodded and decided to hug him, wrapping your arms around his torso and resting your head on his shoulder. He did the same, his embrace soft and warm. But something felt off. You removed your head from his shoulder and pulled away, making eye contact with him. "Are you... taller than me?"
Sinbad smirked, holding you at arms length. "It sure seems that way, doesn't it? Who's little now?" He teased. You humphed in response.
"Oh by the way, it's your turn," He told you.
"My turn...? What do you mean?" You asked in confusion.
"I apologized to you, now you need to apologize to-" you cut him off.
"You want me to apologize for not having faith in you?" You questioned, cocking your head to the side.
"No, let me finish. I want you to apologize to Yunan," he said.
"What?" You shrieked. "Why?"
"You've been hating and hurting him for more than two years, without even giving him a chance to explain. He never did a thing, yet you continuously put him in the dark. Don't you think that deserves an apology?" Sinbad reasoned.
"What? I-" you cut your yelling off, Sin's words sinking in. You looked at Yunan, who by now had stopped crying and was standing up once again, watching the both of you. Your current anger dissipated the longer you stared at him, realizing your brother was right. Yunan hadn't forced Sin to do anything, it was just your mind twisting his truth to your own beliefs — beliefs you wanted to be true. (E/c) eyes met blue, with yours finally melting the ice that surrounded them. You shifted your gaze to the ground. "I'm sorry..."
"For?" Sinbad prompted.
"For... not treating you right..." The way you formatted it sounded strange, like a relationship problem between lovers, but it was the first words that popped into your head. Besides, it was a relationship problem. Just not a romantic one. Your eyes traveled back up to his.
"It's alright, I un-" you threw your arms around his neck.
"No, it's not okay," you interrupted. "I shouldn't have just shut you out, you did nothing wrong. Sinbad is right. I should've listened to you." A couple tears unwillingly sprung to your eyes.
Yunan stood there, his eyes open wide and mouth slightly ajar. Hesitantly, but eventually, his arms wrapped around you too.
The tears had started to slowly leave your eyes, slipping down your cheeks. Not wanting to break the moment, you rubbed your face against his collarbone. The tears were wiped dry.
"Come in when you two are done," Sinbad said tenderly, knowing two years could not made up with a single action. He went back inside the building.
"Your brother has quite the strong influence on you, doesn't he?" Yunan stated quietly. "I did not expect you to do this. I thought you would've died hating me."
You chuckled compassionately. "He does... and I didn't expect this of myself either."
"Well... how about I help you train with your djinn? We can get to know each other, make up for those two years that were... misunderstood." The blond offered.
"That... yeah, sure. That works." You agreed, forgetting the fact you hadn't yet told anyone in Reim about Zaru.
"Alright then. How about tomorrow at noon, in the field behind the colosseum?" He asked.
You pulled away from him and held him at arms length. "Why does it sound like you're asking me out on a date?" You joked.
Yunan became flustered. "Y-you know it's not like that!"
You laughed. "Kidding, kidding! Tomorrow works."
Yunan smiled and closed his eyes. "Good."
Your heart fluttered. It was faint, but you still felt it. Not again, you thought. I wonder if I'm getting sick...
"Well, I have to go now. See you tomorrow," The blond-braided boy charmed, giving another smile goodbye. He faded from your arms, leaving nothing but air.
All you could remember was his smile as you walked into your brother's business.
"What's got you so happy?" Sinbad greeted you.
"Hm? Oh, nothing," you responded. "Just something to do tomorrow." You responded mysteriously.
