Yet again it's that time of year
When I can feel and hear
My heart beating
In my ear

The whisper of thoughts;
They ignore the forts
And destroy my security; with onslaughts.

It's true that we all live for a better future;
Whilst we are made to concentrate on our present.

But time will always tick on.

We have targets to reach and lives to live
But time will always tick on;
On and on.
