Apollo's P.O.V

Yeah, I'm saving this girl no matter what. Im not letting someone die to one of these... Things.
Not on my watch.

"You son of a b*tch! You don't know how dangerous it is out there!" Collin Shouts and starts throwing punches at me. "Yeah, well I won't let an Innocent person die! Even if it means your base is destroyed!" I knee him in the gut, and he falls to the floor. "AHH WHY YOU LITTLE..."

I rush to the door, and open it, a girl about my age dives into me. She has dark brown hair with blue highlights, blue eyes, and she's very pretty.

Collin gets up, and shouts. "WHAT DID YOU EXPECT TO GAIN FROM THIS!?" He asks. I stare at the girl for a second, she's sitting in the corner of the bunker now. "I was saving a person's life. We may be in an apocalypse now, but a life's a life." Collin seems to have calmed down after my speech. Good to know I can calm him down after he gets riled up.

"Your name?" Collin asks the girl, who's still curled up in the corner. "Oh..  I'm..  Uhm... " She starts. She's very hesitant with her words. "I'm Starlight." The girl finally finishes. "Well, I guess you're going to be working with us now, I'm Collin... " He points to me. "... That's Apollo. If we want to survive, we have to work together as a group, I'm going on a supply run, that's what I was doing until Apollo here needed saving." Collin takes his Pistols, and exits the bunker.  "The zombies must be attracted to something else at the moment." I tell Starlight, who's fiddling with her fingers. "So, what happened to you?" She looks up at me, startled. "Want the bad story or the worse story?" She asks. "Eh, I'll take both, it'll pass the time.

"Okay well, it was in the middle of the night last night, and my parents had the door borded up. I was curious why they were trying to scavenge for food and secure the house, because they hadn't told me anything was going on. I think they barely knew themselves."

Starlight started to get a lot more teary than before, it must've been terrible to be in her position.

"After that, my Pops told me to head down to the basement, lock myself in the boiler room, hide, and that he and Mom would be down as soon as they finished up.... But they never came...."
Collin gave the girl a sympathetic look, as if to say, "I know how you feel."

I give Starlight a hug as she starts to cry on my shoulder. Collin gets up as well, but he doesn't want to be in the comforting mood.
"Look kid, were in an apocolypse with... whatever those things outside are. We'll see plenty people die, and you can't get all emotional abut every single death that you see."
Collin gives her a stern look, while Starlight looks at him in disbelief, and that only makes tension in the room even higher as the two of them stare at each other. I start to intervine, but then the unexpected happened.

CRASH!!!

The door in the bunker had crashed down, and in came several monsters just wanting to pounce on us. Collin doesn't hesitate, he pulls out one of his pistols and begins shooting them down one by one.

PEW PEW PEW!

More of them kept coming, one after the other, which made Collin take out his other pistol. Starlight looked at me in fear. I've got to do something before they touch her. I thought to myself. I don't even have a weapon....

I look at Starlight, at her waist there's a dagger in it's sheath that's connected to her black belt, I take the dagger out of the sheath, and run toward the menaing creatures while Collin continues to shoot at them.
"Bout time you decded to fight, I got your back, and let's make this quick. I'm running out of bullets." Collin shouts at me. I nod my head and swing at one of the disgusting monsters. To my surprise, the thing fell over in one strong swing. I then took stabs at another one.
"Just die you foul things!" I scream. As I swing the dagger and take out another monster, one sneaks up behind me and jumps on top of me.

"Apollo, no!" Collin aims his guns at the monster, and pulls the triggers....

...neither of them shot anything out.
"Dang.. out of bullets..." Collin gets a look of grief on his face, he sees the monster getting ready to bite me. It opens its jaw and is about to bite my neck.
I'm struggling to get it off me, but nothing's working.
Just as the thing had its mouth on my neck, a loud gunshot can be heard.

BOOM!

The creature fell to the ground, its head completely obliterated. I look up, and see Starlight holding a shotgun. She saved my life.
"Crap, there's more of them, we gotta run... C'mon let's go!" Shouts Collin as he runs for the outside. Starlight and I both follow him and realize that there's no way of avoiding the apocolypse forever.
