Jayla's Pov
I grab my keys and I walk downstairs and get in my car and drive to work. I turn on the radio and I sing along to the music. I pull up in the parking lot and I get out and walk inside the mall. I walk to footlocker and I clock in. I see this fine dude and I look at him. "Can I help you?" He looks at me. "Yeah I came here to speak to the manager." I walk him to the back and He walks in the managers office. I see my best friend Aaliyah and she walks over to me. "Wassup why you just standing around." I look at her. "We got a new co worker and he fine." She shakes her head and walks off. I follow behind her. "Girl why you shaking your head." She turns around and looks at me. "Cause I should've known but anyways what you getting into tonight." I shake my head. "Shit." A dude walks in the store and looks at Aaliyah. "Is August here?" She looks at me. "Who's that?"A dude walks out the back of the store and looks at Aaliyah. I nudge her and whisper. "Someone checking you out." She looks at me and rolls her eyes. She starts helping customers and a dude walks over to her. "Hi can I have these in a size 12 and your number." She shakes her head and walks off. The dude walks over to Aaliyah and says. "Wassup ma I'm August." She glares at him. "Nigga that's not my name." She walks off and I look at him. "Sorry bout her." He looks at me. "It's okay." I say. "That's Aaliyah and I'm Jayla." He says. "It's nice to meet you Jayla." Aaliyah walks over to us and looks at me. "Girl I got to tell you what happened last night." August looks at her and she looks back at him. I nudge her and she rolls her eyes. "I'm Aaliyah." August says. "I know Jayla told me and I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot." She fake smiles and I look at him. "August you and yo friend should come out with us tonight." He nods his head and walks off. August walks back over to me. "Give me your number so we can meet up tonight." I look at him. " (275) ****** and that's Aaliyah's number btw."  He puts her number in his phone and walks out the store.
Aaliyah's Pov
I walk back over to Jayla and this dude looks at me. "Wassup ma I'm August." I glare at him. "Nigga that's not my name." I walk off and I go over to a customer and help her. I walk over to them and look at Jayla. "Girl I got to tell you what happened last night." August looks at me and I look back at him. Jayla nudges me and I roll my eyes. "I'm Aaliyah." He says. "I know Jayla told me and I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot." I fake smile and Jayla looks at him. "August you and yo friend should come out with us tonight." I look at Jayla and I shake my head. She walks over to me and says. "Girl he was checking you out." I shake my head and walk off. I get a text from and unknown number.

I put my phone in my back pocket and I walk back over to Jayla. "Why you give August my number?" She looks at me and says. "Cause you was going to give it to him eventually." I say. "How you know that." I get off of work and I walk to my car. I get inside and drive home and turn on the radio. I pull up in my driveway and get out the car. I walk inside and go upstairs in my room. I walk in the bathroom and turn on the shower. I pin my hair up and take off my clothes. I get in the shower and take a shower and get out 30 minutes later. I get out and wrap my towel around my body. I hear my phone ringing and I walk out the bathroom and grab my phone.

I hang up the phone and I text August my address. I put my phone down and I walk in the closet and I find me an outfit and put it on.

I walk in the bathroom and straighten my hair and I hear a knock on the door. I put my flat irons up and I grab my phone and keys and walk downstairs. I open the door and I see Jayla. I let her in and she looks at me. "Mhm I wonder who you trying to get sexy for?" I roll my eyes. "Nobody girl." I hear another knock on the door and I open the door and let August and his homeboy in. I look at them and say."Can I get you guys anything?" August shakes his head. "Nah I'm good."  Jayla walks over to me and says. "You ready to go?" I look at her. "I'm not driving tho." August looks at me. "Travis driving." I walk out the door and and wait on everybody and I close and lock the door. We walk to Travis's car and we all get inside. Travis drives off and August looks at me. I glance over at him and say. "What,why you looking at me like that?" He shakes his head. "Mhm no reason."
