The Beginning
Classic Sans, Blue, woke up. He got dressed and went downstairs.
'SANS! IT'S NINE IN THE MORNING, YOU LAZYBONES!' Papyrus yelled, stood by the door in a jumper with a police badge printed on it as well as the words 'IN TRAINING'.
'sorry, bro. i'm just bone-tired,' Blue replied.
'YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED! HOW CAN YOU BE...WAIT, DID YOU JUST...?'
'yes, yes i did. and unemployment is hard,' Blue replied. Papyrus sighed.
'WELL, I HAVE TO GO. GOODBYE EVERYONE!' Papyrus called through the house.
'Bye!' Blue heard Undyne, Alphys, Toriel and Frisk yell throughout the house. Toriel was the head teacher of Frisk's school. Undyne was the PE teacher and Alphys taught Science as well as running the anime after school club. Because it was the weekend, they had nothing to do and were staying home.
Blue walked into the kitchen. Frisk was eating breakfast.
'heya, kid,' he said, sitting down next to her.
'Hey, Sans. Here's the newspaper, already opened on the jobs page,' Frisk said, passing him a newspaper.
'thanks,' Blue said, looking through the job lists. 'damn! they all either say 'no monsters' or are seven days a week. i need weekends off!'
'It's stupid that some people won't let monsters work. They should all be given equal rights,' Frisk said.
'maybe jobs are something for you to talk about at the next meeting,' Blue said, spreading some ketchup on toast.
'Yeah,' Frisk said. She picked up the TV remote and turned up the volume. An advert started playing.
'Are you looking for a job?' the TV blurted out.
'yes,' Blue said.
'Do you want a job that only works five days a week?'
'i'm interested now...'
'Would you be happy with a job that pays minimum wage?'
'i'd be happy with any pay. it's better than nothing.'
'Are you a monster?'
'wait, this job hires monsters? even better!'
'Do you need a job to support yourself and your brother while he trains to be a police officer?'
'...that's specific...and accurate...'
'Is your name Sans the Skeleton?'
Blue and Frisk exchanged confused and shocked looks. What the fuck was going on?
'If you fit the criteria above, you are perfect for the position of the Night Maintenance Officer at Circus Baby's Rentals and Entertainment! Come spend five nights a week with our highly-advanced animatronics, keeping them up and running so they are ready for the next morning. In return, you will receive your pay check at the end of each week and, after your first week, you will be given a gift basket of your choice. If you are interested, call us at 08489 088808.'
The advert ended. Blue paused for a second before pulling his phone from his pocket.
'Wait, are you actually calling them?' Frisk asked.
'come on, i'm perfect for this job. you heard the add,' Blue replied.
'It literally described you and that's not the only reason I'm wary. Have you heard of the game Five Nights at Freddy's?' Frisk asked.
'who hasn't?' Blue said.
'Well, the newest game, Sister Location, takes place at Circus Baby's Rentals and Entertainment. Also, the character you play as works as the Night Maintenance Officer and gets killed at the end,' Frisk explained.
'frisk, frisk, frisk. you're getting paranoid. i doubt that robots possessed by the spirits of dead children could exist in reality.'
'...You're literally a magical fucking skeleton.'
'Frisk!' Toriel came into the room. 'Did you just say the f-word?'
'...It was Sans,' Frisk blamed, pointing at Blue.
'What?! Tori, I-' Blue started.
'Sans!' Toriel said, anger plastered on her face. 'Never use profanity in front of my child again or there will be consequences.'
'...i'm sorry. it won't happen again,' Blue said.
'It better not,' Toriel said, leaving the room.
'you little bitch,' Blue whispered to a smirking Frisk.
'Anyway, I still don't think you should take the job,' Frisk said.
'look, because the games are so popular, a company probably decided to make the place based off it. and as for the position, it was probably free because the games made superstitious people paranoid, like you, so they avoided it.'
Blue dialled the number.
'hello? heya, i just saw your job advert and i was interested in the position... yeah, an interview would be great... today? sure... 2 o'clock? okay...thanks, bye,' he turned to Frisk. 'i have an interview to get ready for.'

Underswap Chara walked down the stairs in her pyjamas and into the kitchen, passing Papyrus who was asleep on the sofa.
'GOOD MORNING, HUMAN!' Swap Sans, Blueberry, said as Chara walked in.
'Hi, Sans,' Chara said, sitting down.
'Good morning, my child,' Asgore said, placing a bowl of cereal in front of her.
'Thanks, Dad,' Chara smiled.
'You're welcome, my child. Did you make your bed when you woke up?' Asgore asked.
'Uhh...no, I forgot,' Chara said.
'Do not worry, I shall go and do it for you. Try to remember next time, okay?' Asgore said, leaving the room. Papyrus came in, having been woken up by Blueberry's yelling.
'heya, kiddo,' he said, taking a seat.
'Morning, Papyrus,' Chara said.
'HOW ABOUT I PUT THE TV ON?' Blueberry suggested.
'Sure,' Chara said.
Blueberry picked up the remote and turned the TV on. As he did so, Napstaton appeared on the screen.
'We interrupt this show to bring you breaking news! Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory is going to open its doors for the first time in years to seven lucky people. These seven people will be decided with a competition. Seven golden tickets have been hidden under the wrappers of seven Wonka Bars. Those who find them, will get the tour of a lifetime! Better get searching, darlings!'
The report ended and the Simpsons began playing.
'WOWIE!' Blueberry yelled. 'THAT SOUNDS AMAZING! I'D LOVE TO GO ON THAT TOUR!'
'if this willy guy is so amazing that this needs to be reported immediately on tv, how come i've never heard of him?' Papyrus asked.
'Because he's fictional,' Chara stated.
'what?' Papyrus questioned.
'Willy Wonka is a character from a book called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's about a boy called Charlie who wins a golden ticket and gets to go on a tour of Willy Wonka's factory,' Chara explained.
'that's...weird...' Papyrus said.
'I know. But in the book, there's only five tickets. I wonder why there's seven now...' Chara wondered aloud.
'I DON'T MIND IF THIS IS A WEIRD BOOK WORLD BROUGHT TO REALITY! THAT TOUR SOUNDS LIKE FUN! I, MAGNIFICENT SANS, THINK WE SHOULD TRY TO WIN GOLDEN TICKETS!' Blueberry said.
'...Whenever I read the book, I did always want to go there in real life. This is my one and only chance...' Chara said. 'Screw it. Let's go out and by some Wonka Bars!'
'YAY!' Blueberry yelled.
'i'll go tell the others where we're going. you two had better get dressed,' Papyrus said.
Blueberry and Chara finished their breakfast ran up the stairs to their rooms, giggling excitedly.

Mafia Sans, Skullface, walked through the front door, pulling off his dust covered gloves and placed his fedora on the hat stand. He went upstairs and into his dad's study.
'pyrope's not gonna be letting anything slip to anyone, just as you asked,' Skullface said.
'Good,' Gaster said. 'I'm glad I chose you to be our hitman.'
'technically, i chose. you were brought back to existence after me, paps and frisk formed our gang,' Skullface pointed out.
'But you decided that when you got to the surface you'd form a gang while I was still alive,' Gaster pointed out.
'you got me. anyway, i'll leave you to your work. see ya, dadster,' Skullface said, leaving the room.
He went downstairs to the lounge. Papyrus and Frisk were sat on the sofa, looking at the window.
'what's going on?' Skullface asked.
'That owl's been sat on the windowsill with that letter its mouth for at least half an hour,' Frisk told him, pointing to the window and the bird outside.
'jesus, if it bothers you that much, just shoo the damn thing away,' Skullface said, walking up to the window.
When he opened it however, the owl didn't give Skullface a chance to say anything. It flew inside, almost whacking him in the face, before doing a lap of the room and dropping the letter in Frisk's lap. It landed back on the windowsill, almost hitting Skullface again.
'get the fuck outta here, you flyin' rat!' he yelled, slamming the window shut, making the owl fly away.
Frisk lifted the letter off her lap. It was for her, the address written in emerald ink. Papyrus was looking at it over her shoulder. 'WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, FRISK? OPEN IT!' he said.
Frisk broke the wax seal as Skullface took a seat next to her. She pulled out the letter and scanned over it.
'what's it say?' Skullface asked.
'Dear Miss Frisk Skeleton,' she read. 'We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl no later than July 31st. Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress.'
'witchcraft? wizardry?' Skullface questioned.
'I'll be right back,' Frisk said, standing up. She went upstairs, leaving Skullface and Papyrus sat on the sofa. They both heard a gunshot before Frisk came back down, holding the letter which now had a bullet hole in.
'FRISK, I DON'T THINK YOU NEEDED TO SHOOT IT, EVEN IF IT IS AN OBVIOUS PRANK.'
'You gave me my very own gun a few weeks ago. I'm gonna shoot whatever I can,' Frisk said. She threw letter in the bin, straightened her tie and sat back down, turning on the TV.

Fell Sans, Red, shoved the front door open, pulling the rubbish bag behind him.
'stupid papyrus, making me take out the trash. he knows the rule: the last person to through away something takes it out. i saw him put in the empty spaghetti packet,' he mumbled.
He lifted the bin lid and threw the bag in it. He closed it and turned to head back inside but, suddenly, something fell, slapping the top of his skull before landing on the ground.
'shit!' Red mumbled, rubbing his skull. He looked down at what had hit him. It was a black notebook with 'DEATH NOTE' written on the front. Red looked around to see where it had come from. There was no one around. 'hello! anyone drop a notebook?'
No response.
Red picked it up and opened it. Inside were a few names as well as various dates, times and words like 'accident' and 'disease' and other, more detailed descriptions. Red took it inside and went straight up to his room so he could read it in more detail.
As he went in his room, however, he found...something stood in front of him.
'jesus fucking christ!' he yelled, jumping back away from the creature.
'Hyuk, hyuk, hyuk!' the creature laughed. 'It's always funny to see their reactions.'

'Welp, I've done it,' Ink told Error. 'What now?'
'W-we sit and wATcH the h-h-havoc unfold,' Error smiled.
