I like to blend poetry forms to provide myself a challenge. The work above was intended to be a blend of a haiku and an acrostic. Neither acrostic or haiku formats require lines to rhyme, so I decided not to use rhymes. However, after I wrote the first two lines, I realized they rhymed. I chuckled at my 'mistake' and challenged myself to make the third line rhyme. The result was the work above.
