A knock on my front door startles me. I throw the blanket back and stand on the cold stone floor with bare feet. My room is dark and the curtains block sunlight from coming in. I still can't see well enough, but I can make out the shadows of furniture in my room. Another loud knock interrupts me.
"Hold on for a moment, I'm coming!" I shout while holding onto my furniture as I slowly made my way to the front door.
"Yoongi," I say when I open the front door. At my door steps stands a bundled up Yoongi and I quickly let him in. Yoongi thanks me before rushing into my living room, where the heater is on.
"Why are you all bundled up like that? It's not even winter yet." I ask tersely, though I didn't mean it that way. But Yoongi seems to have not notice it. He lets out sneeze and says, "I'm having a cold."
"Yeah I can tell," I reply without any emotion. Yoongi rubs his already red nose and I furrow my eyebrows. I'm smelling two scents on him.
"Is Jimin here with you?" I ask after realising it was Jimin I smelled. I have yet to apologise to that midget and I do not want to drag this on longer. Yoongi's cheeks flushes with a light tint of red.
"No he's not here . . ." He trails off, and everything seems to click. I pinch and pull at the scarf around Yoongi's neck, yanking it sharply. The scarf slips from around Yoongi's neck, revealing a neck full of hickeys, one hickey catches my eyes.
"Is this a mark? By Jimin?" My fingers grazes the mark slightly, and Yoongi flinches. I retract my hand back, not wanting Yoongi to get hurt by me, again. Yoongi nods as his face scrunches up in embarrassment.
A laugh burst from my mouth, and I slap my hand over my lips. Yoongi stares at me weirdly. I shake my head in disbelief, and stare at the mark. "When did he mark you?"
"The day before you fought with Jeongguk," He mumbles through clenched teeth. Anger and hurt boils inside of me. A laughter bubbles in my stomach, but I have to suppress it if I want Yoongi to forgive me.
"Who else knows about this?" I ask quietly. Yoongi fidgets in his chair and whispers, "Almost everyone from Dusk Angel Pack."
Almost.
And I am that one person who doesn't know about this until now.
I breathe in deeply as I try to calm myself down. I have better things to worry than to care about Jimin and my friendship.
"I'm sorry about what happened the other," I say, trying to direct our attention to another topic. Yoongi raises an eyebrow before nodding his head. "It's fine, I didn't really take it to heart."
"Liar," My wolf growls.
The room falls into thick a layer of silence.
"I'll be heading out now," I say, my voice slicing through the icy silence. Yoongi stands up from his seat to stop me.
"But you have not fully recovered," He scolds, and I see a motherly figure in him. I stare deep into his eyes and wonder, why is that I wasn't born to be just like him-to be like an omega.
"I'll be fine," I assure him. I walk to the front door only to be stopped by a hand on my shoulder.
"At least cover your bruised eye with an eye patch," He says in a caring tone.
"But I don't have an eye patch." I shrug his hand off my shoulder. Yoongi gives me a small smile and reaches into his pocket to take out an eye patch in it's packaging. "Here." He hands it over to me.
"How did you know-"
"Jeongguk gave it to me. He expected you to want to go against his instructions and just you know, go out." Yoongi cuts me, leaving me to wonder how much Jeongguk knows about me.
"Well tell him I said thanks." I rip the packaging and wear the eye patch, making sure it covers my right eye.
"Are you leaving as well?" I ask as I open the door, and Yoongi shakes his head.
"No. I'll be waiting for Seokjin, Namjoon, and Jimin," He says.
"Okay then, see you," I bid him goodbye, and then walk out of the room.

When I'm out of my street, I trudge towards the woods. A high metallic chain-link fence with loops of barb wire on the top separates the end of my street from the woods. I drag myself to fence and haul myself on top of it. I climb, and when I reach the top of the fence, I step over the loops of barbed wire like how my father taught me, and then tip over to the other side and let myself drop a few feet to the ground.
I land on my feet, and the impact sends spikes shooting up my body, but I am used to it. Training for years prepared me for sudden impacts, and climbing over this fence since young made me grow use to the pain.
As soon as I'm in the woods, I go over to a small clearing I made, to retrieve a bow and a sheath of arrows, leaving the knives and awl on the ground since I won't be using them for hunting today.
In the woods, carnivores roams freely, and there are concerns like venomous snakes, and no real paths to follow if someone ever gets lost. But it makes me feel at peace to be with the nature, and if you know how to find it, you can get a good game that'll last a family of four for a month.
A possum moving in the trees catches my attention. As quietly as I can, I pull an arrow from my sheath, whip the notch into place, and aim at the harmless possum clinging on the branches close to the trunk.
And let the arrow fly, shooting down the possum as my arrows hits it square in the eyes. I pick the possum up, and carry it back to a hut deep in the woods that my family and I built together when I was still a child.
As I'm gutting and skinning it, a rumble interrupts me, and my senses sharpens in defence. I drop the dead possum to the ground and arm my bow with an arrow.
A wolf emerges, taking me off guard. I scan it idly and realise that it's not a werewolf. The wolf closes up on me, and it's too late for me to shift, because I will never win against this wolf in my omega state.
We make eye contact. And for a moment, we hold each others gaze.
And then everything happens in a blur.
