"I do not fear dying, I fear living."

I sat on a blanket I decided to bring, to avoid getting a wet ass from the moist grass.
I looked across at Tyler whom layed on his back next to me, he grinned and looked back.
"You know, I never saw this coming.", Tyler admitted to me, green eyes slowly going back to the sky, "-But I'm glad this did come."
I smiled at that, a warm feeling spreading in my gut. "Yeah?. Me too.", I replied calmly, as my brown eyes focused on the stary sky aswell.
"Do you miss her?.", I asked quietly, in which Tyler seemed to nod in response knowing extacly whom I was talking about instantly.
"Everyday.", Tyler replied, "...Everyday."
"How do you c-ope?.", my voice cracked slightly at the end of the sentence, my gut dropping slightly.
"You just gotta keep going, I guess. At first I didn't...but now, Now I focus on what would make me happy. You know?."
I nodded at that and sat up, to face Tyler and he followed my actions, facing me casually.
"What would make you happy?.", I asked, voice quiet.
"A lot of things would make me happy.", Tyler replied, "-but there is always one thing that is true happiness."
My eyes looked into his, as we slowly leant forward. "-and that'd be?.", I muttered, leaning my forehead against his. Butterflies filled my stomach.
"True Love."
I paused at that, as Tyler leaned in to close the gap between our lips- I gently moved away with a small frown.
"What's the matter?.",Tyler asked gently, tilting his head.
"This is the matter.", I replied with a frown, "I'm trying to ignore true love and I just can't."
Tyler closed his eyes in thought, to open them again to now show understanding in those green orbs of his. "It's Optimus isn't it?."
"What do I do?.", I ask helplessly, my voice a mere whisper of confusion, sadness and over whelming stress.
"I don't how I am going to fix this."
"Nothing is broken, nothing is in need of fixing Cathrine.", Tyler grabbed my shoulder gently, "Just Tell him the truth."
"No that's stupid!.", my voice went to a higher pitch from frustration and sadness, eyes watering and stinging, I rubbed them out of frustration.
"I'm human. He would never want me and He's in a war-"
"Im in a war too, You were willing to come out here with me.", Tyler shot my excuse down in flames.
"You're scared I get that, but bottling up your emotions is not going to get you anywhere.", Tyler stared at me, "Love is Love. You don't care that he's a giant metal robot, and I highly doubt he would care that your a tiny squishy human."
Sniffling, I looked away, making my blonde hair swish. No longer wanting to talk about the topic we were on. "We should head back."
Tyler frowned, obvious protest in his eyes, but he got to his feet anyways. Not wanting to push the touchy subject. "Very well, come on", He held out his hand- which I grabbed to help me to my feet.
I forced a smile, "Thank you for joining me tonight.". I meant it.
Tyler smiled back, also forced, "My pleasure, lets get moving." I knew he meant it too.
"What about the blanket?.", I muttered, for Tyler to say, "Eh we will get it tomorrow"
I nodded at that. Heading back to the base calmly. We remained quiet at that, silence filling the chilly air. A comforting one at least.
Finally we had entered the Military base again. Turning to face Tyler, our eyes met.
"Thank you for tonight."
Tyler smiled at that. Knowing what I actually was thanking for. "Anytime Cathie."
My lips turned into a small smile. At that we went our seperate ways, it was late. Tyler had to sleep and so did I.
Sighing I walked back to my room that was down two corridors to the left. It was quiet. Too quiet for me.
Everyone was asleep and all I could hear is my own footsteps as I walked. It creeped me out, sending a shiver down my spine. I walked faster.
Turning down my corridor a bit too fast to be normal, I yanked out my keys to my room from my pocket. The hairs on the back of my neck sticking up. I felt watched.
I shakily put the silver key into its lock. Turning it madly. The small 'click' entered my ears which sent much relief down my spine, before I quickly swung the door so fast open I was surprised it didn't fall off the hinges.
Entering my room instantly, I spun around quickly and closed the door. I leant my head against the door. Releasing a breath I didn't realise I was holding in.
The candle on my bedside table, dully lit up the room. Many shadows displayed about, but the flame was calming...
It reminded me of Optimus.
Looking back at the door I sighed. Still leant against it.
I was so tired of being afraid of everything and everyone, including myself.
"Fucking. Chill Cathrine. Paranoid over nothing these days."
I eventually turned around.
My brown eyes met a gun pointing at my face. Pupils zeroing onto it, I went to scream.
"OPTI-", only a small squeak had able to leave for a gloved hand to cover my mouth.
I swung my fists at my attacker, for them to wrap their arm tightly around me. Trapping my arms. I struggled and continued to try and scream for help. Although useless since my cries for help were muffled by his hand.
"-Oh for fuck sakes!. Shut the fuck up ya bloody bitch!.", the English accent voice hissed in my ear, a whimper from me soon followed when I was smacked in the head with the gun. Sending painful pounding through my skull.
"Stop strugglin'. I swear to fuckin' god I'll pop a cap into ya fuckin' head!.", Hearing the safety trigger click off, I froze instantly.
I didn't want to die. Not like this. Not today. Not now.
Tears leaked my eyes, as he shoved me to the floor harshly. I whimpered, shakily pushing myself up to face the masked man to meet his deadly piercing eyes. Gun firmly pointed threatingly at me.
"Please, Ple-ase d-don't kill me.", I whispered fearfully, begging for my life. Raising a hand up in some way to protect myself.
"Plea-"
A kick to my face with a steel cap boot stopped me in my tracks. My head was sent flying backwards, a crack entered my ears like a whip hitting the floor. The smell of blood and pain hitting my senses, before I fell to the floor like a rag doll. Fading in and out of concious.
Blood poured onto the floor in front of me. A slurr spilled from lips. A small, quiet pleading slurr...
"Opp...muuasz..."
"I can't risk ya blowing my cover. Nor your mechanic friends. I'll kill all three of ya, before tha' happens.", The male whispered kneeling before me, to move strands of bloodied blonde hair out of my face.
I tried to move my face away from his touch, but was unable to do so.
"-I would kill ya...maybe have some fun before doin' so...but Ma' boss wants ya alive.", The male muttered, gloved finger carressed my cheekbone.
Tears ran down my face. A sob threatning to spill.
"Say Goodnight Sweetheart."
Out of reflex I tried to raise my hand, as the sob finally escaped my throat. The mans fist collided into my skull with multiple harsh hits, my head slamming into the concrete-
Dots filled my vision. Body going limp. My face fell to side. The candle light reflection on my bedside table flickered in my eyes, before going out.
Smoke left the burnt out candle.
'I wish I told you how much you meant to me.'
My flame had been put out.
The world went dark.
