-Chapter 9-
"I can not believe the lack of common sense you pair have!", dad ranted, behind the kitchen counter.
I stared at him blandly, my emotions numbed. Luke hid behind me, holding onto my shirt sleeve as tears leaked his eyes.
"Do you know what you have done!?"
Dad glared at us, receiving no answer, he growls loudly, "I asked a question, I should receive an answer!"
"No?", Luke stumbled out slowly, unsure how to reply.
"You have put this family in danger!. Shattered us!"
I growled loudly, anger filling my body as my eyes hardener. My knuckles started to turn white from my tanned skin, at how hard I was clenching my fists, "no!, you shattered this family a long time ago!"
"Excuse me!?", dad snapped at me.
"If you actually helped out with the family, instead of sleeping around with random chicks!, maybe this would of never had happened!"
"How dare you blame me for your mums and my divorce!", He yelled at me.
"I have every right to blame you!", I easily fired back
"Go to your room!. NOW!", He demanded
I glared at him, "Fine!. Better being in a room, then hanging around the likes of you!", I hissed storming to my room and slamming my door. which easily followed...
"YOU ARE GROUNDED!"

"Cathrine. Wake up", Luke's voice entered my hearing, shaking me awake from my unexpected sleep. I sat up and looked at him with halve opened eyes, the room dark.
"What time is it?", I said slightly surprise not remembering falling asleep.
I yawn slowly waking up, before rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, "2:34am... To be exact", Luke said checking his phone to double check the time.
I stared at him, "why did you wake me up at this time!?", I ask slightly annoyed.
"I just want to talk..", my heart sank. we haven't properly spoken to each other since mums and dads divorce.
"Yeah?. What about?", I ask carefully, fiddling with my sleeve.
"Mum", he whispered softly, looking out my bedroom window, where the moon reflection shined onto his face.
I shuffled, facing him, "I miss her too"
"It's my fault she died...", Luke whispered tears feeling his eyes again.
"What?. Don't say that. that isn't true-"
"It is damn it!", he snapped at me, my eyes slightly widened. Not expecting him to snap.
"The last thing I said to her, was that I hate her!", He claimed, his voice raising. I looked at him confused.
"What do you mean?"
"The reason I ran into the woods, is because we argued about the divorce she had with dad!", he said furiously whiping the tears away from his eyes, "and I didn't believe that dad cheated on her during the marriage, and that she was a lying bitch!".
I simply stared at him with a frown on my face, "who told you that?, dad?"
"Yeah"
"Well whatever he told you, he lied", I said bluntly with hard eyes
"Why do you say that?", Luke asked slowly.
"Because I was the one who caught dad in the act", I told him truthfully.
"Oh", was all Luke said, before getting up, tears dripping from his chin.
We both froze, seeing headlights shine through my bedroom window. I slowly got to my feet and looked out of it, my eyes slightly scrunching at the brightness. I blinked twice before getting used to the brightness and stared at the sight in shock and disbelief.
"Who is here?, at this time?", Luke asked noticing my shocked look.
"Optimus!?", I stumbled out with a wide smile.
"What!-"
"Shhhh!", I covered his mouth with my hand, not wanting to wake up dad. "I'll be right back", I said, grabbing a jacket and quickly slipping it on, to open up my window.
"Are you sure this is a good idea Cat?", Luke asked, as I climbed out the window.
"Optimus is My guardian-"
"More like Ex Guardian. he was discharged!, remember!", Luke whispers at me with wide eyes.
"Just, stay here. I'll only be a second!", I claim, letting go of the window ledge, to drop onto the dirt ground in a crouching position.
I got to my feet. dusting my hands off, I jogged to Optimus's Alt-Mode, the chilling breeze made me shiver.
I knocked on the truck door with my knuckles lightly, the flamed painted door opened up instantly. I quickly got in, the door closing behind me.
Rubbing my arms for warmth, I let out a sigh, "why are you here Optimus?", I asked softly .
The heater seemed to turn on, making me smile and pat the dashboards softly, "Optimus?"
The truck started up, the seatbelt wrapped around me swifrly. Pressing me against the leather seat. trapped.
"O-Optimus?", I stutter out in surprise, "Optimus what are you doing?"
The steering wheel moved and so did the gear stick. Driving off down the dirt drive-way, we drove away from my house
"Optimus!, I can't leave. what if dad wakes up-"
"Shhh!", Optimus hushed me, the Autobot insignia glowing a bright blue one the radio as he spoke.
My eyes looked around, before they got covered by a warm hand, i yelped. Squirming in shock and fear, "calm down Cathy, it's just me", Optimus's voice whispered to me softly. I slowly nodded.
"Where are we going?", I asked instantly.
"it's a surprise", Optimus said calmly.
"Oh?. What is it!?", I asked with a grin.
"It's a surprise!. I can't tell you", Optimus claimed, failing to hide the amusement in his voice.
I pouted and relaxed against the seat, the seatbelt seemed to relax against me like a soft hug.
"We are here", Optimus announced, whispering in my ear, making me giggle.
He slowly uncovered my eyes to reveal...
"A picnic...", I said slowly.
"Do you like it?", Optimus asked tilting his head, as I stared at the open grass area, a lake in front of us as aPicnic blanket was sprawled out on the short summer green grass.
"Optimus.. I love it!", I squealed and hugged him.
My eyes widened at what i did, slowly releasing him I was about to apologize, " I-erm-"
I yelped as he yanked me to him and hugged me tightly, I smiled, hugging him back.
