I finally gasped for air, coughing and spluttering. Water spill led out of my mouth, emptying itself from my burning lungs. I swam for shore, my red hair stuck to my dampened skin.

Don't you see?! I want to die! I internally yelled at myself.

I searched the beach for any signs of people nearby, no one. Good. Just the way I wanted. I slid out of the water and ran towards my truck.

I was clearly quiet enough as I wasn't approached or called out to. Cat ears don't exactly help when you live in a world full of werewolves. Even my family, except for my sister, Dakota, don't know that I'm a cat spirit, the only one alive...
