HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURAPIKA!!!

"One..."

"Two..." Barely muffled giggles.

"Three!"

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" (The sky's awake, so I'm awake! End my misery...)

Pillows fell upon the unsuspecting victims, jolting them awake harshly. Their field of vision became a pattern of white and bursts of light. Rich laughter filled as the two assailants finally stopped their attacks.

"Yo-hu guys ahahawake now?" Even more peals of laughter.

A blonde glared at them viciously, but amused at the same time. The other, a doctor, put a hand groggily to his head. "What time is it?" He drawled impatiently.

"6:32!" A bright voice chirped.

"Yeah, we thought we'd wake you guys up by now." Informed a calmer voice.

"What the hell!? Why do we need to wake up so early!" The doctor, Leorio, exclaimed.

"Hey, you proposed the idea of a double date, and Gon just won't stop bugging me." Killua replied, narrowing his eyes disapprovingly at his friend.

"Hehe, sorry Killua!" 

The ex-assassin sighed hopelessly, "You're such a handful."

The two continued to bicker jokingly, leaving the two "adults" to converse. 

"So, umm... I was thinking we could go on a picnic of some sort..." Leorio siad, scratching the back of his head in an unsure manner.

"That sounds nice. Let's get ready first, though." Kurapika smiled fondly.

"O-ok."

The "mother" of the group quickly broke up the quarrel between Gon and Killua, ushering them into the bathroom. They all changed into their regular clothes and excitedly went to brush their teeth, wash their face, etc.

Killua and Gon rushed to the kitchen, grabbing a pile of bread, cheese, tomatoes, meat, and lettuce. Laughing, Gon hurriedly started to slap sandwhiches together, while Killua speedily wrapped them neatly.

Leorio and Kurapkia also went to help, chopping some greens to make a salad. Leorio professionally cut up some fruit making a bright array of sweet colors. Together, they wrapped them up and gently placed it in the basket.

Kurapika grabbed a sun hat, and Leorio went to chuck in the blanket, sauce, and napkins. Finally, everyone was ready.

"Let's go!" Leorio shouted.

"Hai!"

The two younger teens hopped out the doorstep merrily, chattering away on their first double date. The remaining two smiled at their antics and happily at each other. The close group strolled leisurely to a random field, led by Gon.

The scenery was mesmerizing.

Sunlight shined softly on the whispering, lush trees. A group of white and black magpies tittered at each other energetically, flapping their wings. The grass waved delicately, dotted with tiny white daisies.

"Woooow. This is awesome!" Killua marveled.

Gon giggled, "But you're much more prettier!" He sang, glomping his white-haired friend from behind.

"S-stop it! Idiot..." killua trailed off, burying his embarassed face into his hands.

Kurapika laughed gently, using his knuckles to cover his mouth.

"Y'know...I think you're beautiful, too..." Leorio murmured unintentionally.

The blonde's eyes widened in shock as a wave of pink erupted across his cheeks," S-stupid..."

The doctor fondly hugged his lover, placing his chin on Kurapika's head. Gon and Killua snickered, and started to spread the blanket. Placing the basket on top, they led their "parents" by the hand in a gentlemanly manner, to the white piece of fabric.

"Enjoy your lunch, sirs." Killua bowed mockingly. Both boys giggled quietly, setting out their lunch and utensils.

"You little..." Leorio mumbled, casually taking Kurapika's hand.

They were handed their food by Gon and Killua, who took theirs and skipped to the forest.

Gon and Killua POV
"Nice one, Killua!" Gon chirped high-fiving his friend.

"Heh, yea."

They walked towards the tallest tree, climbing up its branches in ease. There, they sat comfortably resting against each other's sides. Gon's legs swung slowly as he hummed delightfully, shoving a mouthful of sandwhich into his mouth.

(I bet you know what's coming next. ;) )

"Your way of eating sucks." Killua sighed, brushing off the crumbs with his thumb.

Gon smiled brightly, leaning into his touch. The ex-assassin flushed lightly, kissing him on the cheek.

"Awww!" the extrovert pouted.

"W-what?"

"You should have done this!"

Gon rushed forward, capturing Killua's lips in his own, both precariously balanced on top of the branch. The moment was short and sweet, lasting only a few seconds. They broke apart, hearts thumping against their chests, faces splashed with a pink hue.

"Idiot! We could have fallen!"

"Buuut, we didn't!"

"Aarrrrrgh! You're hopeless!"  Killua shouted, scratching his head frustratingly.

"I know!"

"That wasn't a compliment!"

Gon just buried his head into Killua's neck, exhaling softly, "I love you."

"Idiot. I love you, too..."

Kurapika and Leorio POV
"Hey Kurapika..."

"Hmm?"

"Now that we are alone...I want to give you something." Leorio murmured, slowly taking out a beautifully crafted box.

(I'm sorry to all Leopika shippers, they aren't getting married... but you are definitely allowed to write a version like that if you want.)

Kurapika took the box, and opened it delicately. Inside was a plain silver bracelet with half a heart. The letter "K" was printed on it in swirling lines.

"Thank you...Leorio..." Kurapika smiled happily, putting on the bracelet with great care.

"I have one too." He replied, rolling back his sleeve, where a replica popped out with the letter "L".

"Here's the neat part." Leorio took Kurapika's hand in his own, and the two pieces fit together automatically.

"They are magnetic, so whenever we hold hands, they will find their way towards each other...like us..."

"This is...beautiful."

"That's not the only gift." He gently grabbed the Kurta's chin and pressed his lips softly against the other's.

Kurapika blushed again, but didn't shy away. Breaking apart, they smiled at each other affectionately. Suddenly, soft footsteps came towards them, as two fimiliar shapes appeared.

"Hiiiii!" Gon waved at them, one hand hiding something behind his back.

"Yo." Killua held up a hand, signaling his appearance, a hand also hiding something.

Kurapika eyed them suspiciously, but decided to play along, "Welcome back."

"Well, what have you two been up to?"

"We kisse-!"

"Idiot stop it! It's embarrassing!" Killua his, flicking Gon in the forehead.

The mischievous boy just giggled,"3...2...1...!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY,  KURAPIKA!" Shouted three voices.

Said blonde blinked in surprise as two hand-crafted flower crowns were placed on his head. In less than a second, six arms enveloped him lovingly, everyone laughed merrily.

I wonder when was the last time I've heard someone say that?

Kurapika smiled, hugged back, and started to laugh along with them, voice as soft and clear as bright flowers.

Thank you Gon, Killua. I love you, Leorio.
