Something broke inside Subject R-E today. It is difficult to explain. His screams became more animalistic, more unhinged. Something changed in his eyes, and he started shouting nonsense at me. An untamable rage in his expression, but also something slightly hysterical. Like he was either going to kill me or start laughing in my face. At one point he did start laughing. It was uncontrollable, and it sounded like it physically hurt. This outcome was unprecedented, and I will work to mend it as quickly as possible. Failure to fix this issue may result in Subject R-E having to be put down. Subject R-O has begun to put on some false bravado, in hopes of intimidating me into giving his brother back. It has only succeeded in making him appear as more of a brute.
