THINGS I LOVED ABOUT YOU:

1) You were always fun--I was always entertained. With you, each day was a new adventure.

2) You exposed me to things that you were passionate about, and you showed me the beauty of things that I found weird or strange. You taught me to embrace obscurity.

3) You jumped so fast at that injustice, which was endearing--even if the consequences were something we all had to pay.

4) You kept my depression at bay. You weren't supposed to know this--but thanks. Because of you, I could forget about it for a while. It hurt me to see you sad, too, because you reminded me of myself. And I have always been my greatest enemy.

5) I think you really did try. Sometimes.

6) You are beautiful. It didn't make me love you any more, but I always thought you were very pretty.

7) You made grammar mistakes nearly all the time when you wrote long paragraphs. It was cute, and it always made me quirk a smile and say to myself, "now that just doesn't make sense."

8) You were a poet, like me. You made me love poetry more, and I wrote about you all the time.

9) You gave me something to look forward to. Talking to you, being with you. Even the impossible possibility of that dream we once had.

10) You taught me the power of forgiveness, but also the meaning of freedom and self-preservation.

So thank you for these things that I loved about you.
