        It was a peaceful night in the castle for once. There wasn't a night since Giovanni had been born that there wasn't some kind of commotion that was causing a disruption to the normal daily occurrences of the royal family and it's affiliates. At the moment, you, Luciano, Giovanni, Flavio, and Andrés were situated in one of the many recreational rooms of the castle. The one you were in contained various board games, both new and old, a poker table, a roulette table, a tennis table, a billiards table, an extensive collection of video games, gaming consoles, TV to go with them, and a few bookshelves worth of books that couldn't be fit in the castle's massive library. The room was also equipped with a Prussian blue suede sectional couch with three matching armchairs, two of which could recline and swivel if desired, and a few smaller tables to play the board games on and a coffee table that sat in front of the sectional.

You were currently sitting on one of the swiveling armchairs. Andrés was sitting in the other swiveling armchair across from you, a table between you both. The two of you were engaged in an intense match of chess. You were managing to beat him at the moment, but he was ever so slowly closing in on a few of your pawns. Luciano was over at the pool table with Giovanni, who was now six years old and growing like a weed, helping him play billiards against Flavio. The father and son duo were doing fairly well but were still being beaten by the blond by a total of two billiard balls.

"Uncle Flavio?" the young vampire prince questioned as he watched his uncle sink in yet another ball.

"Yes dear?"

"How come you're so good at this?"

Flavio chuckled before ruffling his nephew's neatly kept dark auburn hair. "I've had a lot of practice with Uncle Andrés."

Luciano snorted. "Yeah. You've had a lot of practice of putting balls in holes, or should I say Andrés does?"

"Oi! Shh!" Flavio hushed his younger brother.

Luciano chuckled at Flavio before going into a full blown laugh. He at least kept it PG so his son wouldn't know what he meant. Flavio, however, knew exactly what he meant and was growing more flustered by the second as he listened to his brother laughing at him. His curl was frazzled beyond belief.

"Stop laughing at me! It's not funny!" Flavio complained.

"Yes... Ha ha... It is!" Luciano laughed out.

"No it's not!"

Flavio's vision began to be clouded by hot tears. He tried to blink away the tears, but it only caused a few drops to fall down his cheeks. Giovanni saw this and immediately went over to comfort his crying uncle. He hugged the elder male's waist tightly and looked up to him. Flavio had propped his rose tinted sunglasses up on top of his head, being careful to not hit his curl as he did so. His gave shifted down to Giovanni, his tears coming out of his grey eyes in steady, thin streams. The blond carefully picked him up to hold him. Giovanni's arms wrapped around his neck to give him another hug before pulling away.

"Please don't cry Uncle Flavio! I don't like seeing you upset!"

Flavio smiled at him and gave him another hug before Giovanni wiped away his tears with a handkerchief he always carried around with him.

"Grazie mio caro nipote."

"Prego zio Flavio! Ogni volta!"

Giovanni tucked the square piece of cloth back into the pocket of the shorts he was wearing after folding it. He plucked the rose tinted sunglasses from the blond locks of Flavio's head and put them on himself. He looked absolutely adorable as he gave an innocent smile. Flavio couldn't help but letting his smile widen at the sight of his nephew.

"You look good with those on. Would you like to keep them?"

The young prince's red eyes lit up at the offer. "Can I really?!"

"Of course you can." The blond pulled out a pink cased pocket mirror. "Here. Have a look."

Giovanni took the mirror carefully from his uncle's hand and opened it to see if he actually looked good in them, and he did. He turned as best he could in Flavio's hold and looked to you.

"Mama! Look!"

You immediately did as your son asked and looked in his direction. You smiled at the sight of him and quickly finished your turn, efficiently ending the game by putting Andrés in checkmate. Pushing yourself up and out of the chair, you walked over to him and took him from his uncle, bringing him into your own embrace.

"What do you think?!" your son asked excitedly.

"I think you look very mature," you responded as you gave him an Eskimo kiss.

He gave you one back before kissing your cheek. "Thanks Mama!" He turned to look at Flavio. "I think Uncle Flavio looks better in them though."

He took the sunglasses and handed them over to his uncle. Flavio took them reluctantly and gave his nephew a questioning look.

"You don't want them?"

"Nope! Sunglasses are a part of your signature look. I have to find my own without any help."

Flavio chuckled and kissed the younger male's forehead. "Very well then. Why don't we finish our game?"

"Okay! Papa, are you done laughing now so you can help me?"

"Yes. I'm done now." Luciano looked to Flavio and snickered.

"I thought you said you were done?!" Flavio asked angrily.

"I lied."

"Papa, lying isn't good."

"Yes, yes. I know. I'm sorry."

"That's okay. I forgive you!"

You set Giovanni down so he could finish his game of billiards with his uncle and father. Andrés had set the chess pieces back up before joining you in watching the ending to the game. He leaned against a nearby wall with his arms crossed and a foot resting against the wall.

"(Y/n)?" the Spaniard asked with a bit of a grunt.

"Yes Andrés?"

"Have you and Luciano ever decided on godparents for Giovanni?"

"Godparents?" asked Giovanni curiously.

"Yes, godparents," Luciano told his son.

"Well, we've considered our options..."

"Who are your options?"

"We've narrowed it down from you and Flavio, Oliver and François, Matthieu, and Gilen to just Matt and Gil since we know you and François aren't particularly fond of children. We have a problem though."

"And that is?"

"We want him to have a godfather and a godmother, but Gilen and Matt aren't seeing anyone."

Giovanni decided to speak up. "What's a godparent?"

"It's a person or two people who would take care of you if anything would ever happen to both your mother and I that would leave us incapable of taking care of you ourselves," Luciano explained.

"Ooh! You can set Uncle Matt up with Miss Lauren so then I can have them as my godparents!"

"What about Uncle Gil?" you asked him.

"Don't get me wrong Mama, I love Uncle Gil just as much I do Uncle Matt, but Uncle Matt's had his eyes on Miss Lauren for a while now."

"How are we going to get him to agree to go on a date with her though?"

"Leave that to me!"

~Time Skip – The Following Night~

It was around midnight when Matt had arrived at the castle. He had received a call from Luciano's phone the previous night. It had been Giovanni, asking if he could come to the castle for a playdate with him. With the young vampire being the prince and being too adorable, he couldn't refuse the other's request. He was told to wear nicer clothing than usual though and was instructed specifically to not wear his usual flannel shirts and jeans. It was an odd request, but he complied to it. So here he was, sitting outside in one of the gazebos in the castle garden in a freshly pressed white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to just below his elbows, a pair of black slacks, and a nice pair of shoes. Giovanni had run off to get something, but he wasn't told what he was going to get.

Matt decided to take in his surrounding in the gazebo. There was a table with two chairs, one of which he was sitting on. The table had a clean white linen table cloth on it, as well as a purified bottle of blood and two wine glasses off to the side. There was also a lone candle in the center of the table, its flame burning brightly. The candle was unnecessary though. Not only was it a full moon tonight, but the castle garden was always illuminated by street-like electric lamps. The set up was odd to say the least.

Giovanni suddenly ran towards him, a bouquet of roses in hand. He approached Matt quickly and handed him the bouquet, which consisted of twelve red roses and twelve orange ones. The burly blond French-Canadian gave him a look of confusion.

"Give these to her when she comes over! The orange ones are her favorite!" he said before dashing off, leaving Matt searching for answers.

"Who's 'her'?" he asked himself.

"Giovanni! Where did you go?!" yelled a feminine voice.

His eyes widened. He knew that voice. It was Lauren. He panicked a bit. Does he run and try to hide, or does he face her like a man? He was leaning more towards running but stopped just as he stepped off of the wooden flooring of the gazebo when he saw her walking towards him.

"Hi Matthieu! Have you seen Gio- Oh, you're dressed awfully nice, and those flowers are really pretty! Who are they for?"

"Uh, they're for you," he said awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck and extended the bouquet out towards her.

"Aww! Thank you Matt!" She took them from his gently and brought them up to her nose to smell them. "They smell wonderful!"

"I'm glad to hear that." He noticed that she was also dressed fairly nice.

She wasn't wearing her usual maid uniform. Instead, she wore a simple white dress with thin straps. The skirt of the dress puffed out a bit, but not too much. Her feet adorned a pair of black flats. Her long blond hair was down just as it usually was, but it had been curled and then brushed out, it having settled into soft waves.

"You're dressed pretty nice too," he pointed out.

"Huh? Oh, yes... Uh, (Y/n) gave me the day off for some reason, and the prince said he wanted to play dress up with me, so he told me to put on something nice... I followed him out here, but I seem to have lost him..."

"That cunning child..."

"Who?'

"Giovanni. I think he just set us up on a date."

She looked at the gazebo, saw all the items, and blushed. "I-It seems he has."

"We don't have to if you don't want to."

"No! It's fine. I wouldn't mind going on a date with you." Her blush got a bit heavier.

Matt was a bit shocked. "Really?"

"Yeah..."

"Well then... Shall we?" He gestured to the table and chairs.

"Yes, we shall."

~Time Skip – After the Date~

Giovanni watched from a nearby tree as the blond duo walked hand in hand with one another towards the fountain in the center of the garden. Lauren was laughing at something Matt had said to her, a few tears pricking her eyes. They stopped walking just as they got to the fountain, both of them taking a seat. Giovanni moved himself to a closer tree to hear what they were going to talk about.

"Thank you for the flowers and the date," Lauren said, looking at the aforementioned flowers in her other hand.

"It was no problem. I'm glad that Giovanni set us up. It was a lot of fun."

"I couldn't agree more."

"Hey Lauren?"

"Yes Matthieu?"

"Do you like anyone?"

"I like a lot of people!"

"No, I mean do you like anyone in the love kind of way?"

"Oh..." She blushed a bit. "Yeah... Do you?"

"As a matter of fact, I do."

"Really? Who is it?" She couldn't be anymore oblivious.

"Try to guess."

"Is it... the red headed cook Samantha?"

"No, try again."

"Is it Anna?"

"No. Anna got married to Lutz, and they have two kids now, remember?"

"I forgot... I don't know then..."

"How about I give you a hint."

"Alright!"

"Okay. She's sitting right next to me and holding my hand."

"Oh my..." He blush was much heavier now. "Is it me?"

"That's correct."

"Do I get a prize for guessing correctly now?"

"Sure. What do you want?"

She thought for a moment before leaning towards him. He figured out what she was getting at and leaned down to her, both of their eyes closing as their lips met in a sweet first kiss. Giovanni cheered silently as he saw what they were doing. He pulled a walkie talkie he had brought out with him out of his pocket and turned it on.

"Come in Mama Bird and Papa Bird," he whispered into it.

"Mama Bird and Papa Bird here. What's the situation Baby Bird?" you said in a hushed tone into yours and Luciano's walkie talkie.

"The mission was a success! Angsty Polar Bear is in a relationship with Bubbly Mermaid!"

"Then congratulations Baby Bird! You've got a godfather and a godmother now!"

Giovanni didn't respond to you. Instead he watched his Uncle Matt pull Lauren up from the fountain and walk away with her, presumably to take her to back inside the castle so she could continue to enjoy her day off.

"Thanks kid for helping me out tonight," Matt spoke into Giovanni's mind.

"No problem Uncle Matt!" he responded.

Once they were out of sight, Giovanni hopped out of the tree and made his way back into the castle to practice playing billiards with his father so he could beat Flavio the next time they played.

DreamsForDays here! I present to you the second extra! Sorry that it's later than I said it would be, but I still got it out! So here we have Giovanni playing matchmaker in an effort to finally have godparents! I think next chapter I'm going to focus on the origins of the Vampire! 2p!
