Leanne's POV
I wake up and Michael is sleeping and still has his arms wrapped right around me. Nothing happened between us last night and apart of me wishes I hadn't let him sleep in bed with me last night, but I've been sleeping in Michael's arms at night for so long now that it felt cold and empty without him next to me.
I don't forgive him for what he did just like I don't with Carley or Randy and everybody else that's lied to me, but I also don't hate him either. In a way I do understand Michael not telling me, but he spent over a year going behind my back doing his best to keep me from finding out and it's not the first time he's done this either. He did the same thing when he found out about my parents or whoever they were died and that's what hurts the most because I forgave him the first time and he did it again and now it makes me wonder what else he's keeping from me.
I know I'm not exactly innocent and I've lied to Michael myself in the past especially when we first met and I told him I was 18. My lie could have gotten him sent to jail, but at the time I was scared and not just of Mary, but of Michael too. Just like I was scared of the others. But Michael had no reason to lie or to hide this from me.
I don't hate Michael for what he did, but I'm still trying to figure out if I can trust him or not. I thought I could, but then again I thought could trust the two people that raised and thought they were the sweetest most amazing and loving parents in the world and it turn out they weren't even my parents. I'm trying to hate them for what they did, but everytime I try to, all I can think about is all the amazing and happy times I had with them and I can't remember a single day that I felt sad growing up and all those special moments are the only things that come to my mind when I think about them and that's what kept me going after they died, but when I look at pictures and videos of them all I can think off is what they did to Carley. She was only 17 when she had me, just like I was when I had the Annabelle and Ryan. The only difference is she didn't have a husband and a family around to take care of her. She was all alone and my dad just stole me from her while she was sleeping, but Carley's another person I don't know how to feel about either. She's supposedly my real mom and been looking for me for the past 18 years and I hate what my parents put her through, but she lied to me too. She could have told me who she was the day we first met. I remeber commenting that she looked familiar and at first I thought I was just thinking of someone else, but Carley knew exactly why she seemed familiar to me, but instead of telling me the truth she denied it and continues pretending not to know me.
I turn over and see it's only 4am so I slowly and quietly move away from Michael so I don't wake him and get out of bed then tiptoe into my old room check on the twins and smile, seeing them sleeping soundly then tiptoe downstairs.
I go into the living room and start up my laptop so I can check my emails and the first thing that I see is the screen saver of me and my parents. It's a photo of the 3 of us that was taken on my 15th birthday which is the last birthday I shared with them before this whole nightmare began. I keep starting at the photo looking at how sweet and perfect the family in the photo looks and how loving and happy they all seem and the more I look. The more it breaks my heart knowing that it was all just a lie. Just like the rest of my life has been.
I close my laptop and Bugsy comes over to me purring and jumps onto my lap. "You can't sleep either huh?" I mutter and he just looks at me and meow's softly. "C'mon let go find something else to do" I smile and carry him over to the TV where my Xbox is.
The doctor gave me something after the twins were born to help me sleep better, but I stopped taken them awhile ago because my nightmares and flashback started happening again and with everything that's happened in the last few days, sleep probably wouldn't be any good for me right now anyway.

Michael's POV
I wake up and Leanne isn't there and I turn and see it's 7:30. I go into Leanne's old room to check on the twins and their gone too so I make my way downstairs and the three of them are in the living room.
"Good morning" Leanne smiles slightly then turns back to the twins. "What are we reading?" I ask walking over and sit beside her on the floor. "Peter pan" she smiles slightly. "I found some boxes of stuff in the basement from when I was a little kid This used to be my favourite story when I was a kid. I can't believe they still kept all that stuff" she smiles slightly.
"You went down into the basement?"
"Mhm. I was getting bored just playing on my Xbox so I decided to clean the basement out a little"
"How long have you been awake?" I frown confused. "About 4" she shrugs "You won't believe the amount of junk that was down there. I really need to clear some of this stuff out and do some redecorating. I was thinking maybe red for in here" she says looking around the room. "What about our home?" I ask and she doesn't say anything for a moment.
"Can't we stay here for awhile longer?" She mumbles. "If that's what you really want. But don't you feel weird about being here... after everything?" I mumble that last part. "Every house has a history. For all we know our house could have had a hundred dead bodies in there" she shrugs.
"Actually. The house was built after I bought the land. So I know for a fact there hasn't"
"Ever seen polterguist? Or pet cemetery?"
"Well yeah, but..."
"Then you never know" she shrugs. "I'm not gonna win on this one am I?"
"Nope" she shakes her head. "And Annabelle and Ryan are never gonna get to finish their story of you keep talking about haunted houses" she points out. "I guess, I'll go make some breakfast then" I shrug. "It's fine. I'll do it. you can finish the story" she smiles and hands me the book the goes into the kitchen.
I know she's smiling and seems ok, but I know Leanne well enough now to see when she's putting and act. She was probably just pretending to be happy because the kids were there, but I dont understand why she was up so early again and was clearing out the basement of all places and talking about staying here longer.
It is a really nice house and if it wasn't for the fact I know what happened here, I'd actually be a little more happier about staying here longer.

Leanne's POV
"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Michael asks as we're walking into the restaurant. "Why not? They serve great breakfast here" I smile. "And find a table and settle Annabelle down and Michael does the same with Ryan.
"I'm not talking about going out for breakfast. I mean going back to the hotel. You don't have to go back if your not ready and nobody's expecting you to. You've been through alot the last few days and..."
"And I've been through alot worst in the past too, but I'm ok now aren't I?" I cut him off. "I know but.. "
"Michael I'm fine really. Can we just not talk about this anymore? I just wanna go back to work. I don't wanna keep sitting around thinking about everything and driving myself crazy. I just need something to focus on" I cut him off again and he doesn't say anything for a moment.
"And what about Carley?" He mumbles. "What about her?"
"Do you think you'll talk to her or..."
"I'm not sure" I mumble. "I don't really wanna think about that right now. And even if I did wanna talk to her. I have no idea what I'd wanna say to her"
"So you do wanna talk to her?" He asks "I don't know how to feel right now" I mumble and he's about to speak when I hear someone say my name and turn and see Jerry and Elsa behind me. "Hey!" I smile getting up from my seat and hug them both.
"I thought it was you! Look how grown up your are!" Elsa smiles, hugging me back. "Who are these two little cutesy pies?" She coos looking over at the twins. "This is my daughter Annabelle and this is my son Ryan" I smile "And this is Mi..."
"You must be her husband" Jerry cuts me off before I can introduce them and he shakes Michael's hand. "I'm Jerry.. I didn't catch your name"
"It's Michael. Nice to see you again" Michael smiles at him. "You know each other?" I frown confused. And Jerry turns to Elsa "They had a lovers tiff.. Poor young man was left out in the rain at night... for 3 hours maybe more" be explains the turns back to Michael "Glad to see you both worked things out in the end" he smiles and pats Michael on the back "He's such a nice boy" he turns back to me and I smile slightly.
"So are you moving back into your old home?" Elsa asks changing the topic. "Umm... I'm not sure what.."
"We're thinking about it. Nothing's official yet though" Michael cuts me off and I smile slightly. He didn't say he definitely wanted to move here, but if he's agreeing to think about it then that's a start.
"Well your more than welcome to the neighbourhood. It's a beautiful area" Jerry cuts in "I moved here 70 years ago and haven't looked back" Jerry smiles proudly. "Thank you" Michael smiles back at him.
"This place won't be around much longer though. The Johnson's have put this place up for sale" Elsa cuts in. "Are you serious?" I widen my eyes surprised. "I'm afraid so. They got into some financial difficulties and had to put this place up on the market" she sighs. "I can't believe their selling the resturant" I mutter, trying not to get upset.
"I've been coming here since I was a young boy... the first meal we had when I first moved here.. and I've never looked back.. I was just a wee boy... my mother brought me to this town and... I never looked.. "
"Come along Jerry. Let's leave these two, to enjoy their meal in peace" Elsa rolls her eyes at him and he turns to Michael. "You'll like it here.. I've lived here since I was a wee boy and I've never.. "
"Jerry!" Elsa cuts him off, taking his hand "sorry about him" she shakes her head and we both smile as she leads him away.
"You didn't tell me you spoke to my old neighbours" I frown confused. "It was when you wouldn't let me talk to you. He came outside to check everything was ok. He was really nice" Michael smiles. "I'm sorry about leaving you out there so long" I mumble and he shrugs "it's fine. He actually offered to let me stay with him if I had no where else to go. He was really nice"
"They are. Elsa and Jerry are always trying to help people. Their really sweet and they actually used to babysit me when I was little and..."
"They never looked back" Michael cuts me off making me giggle slightly and I look up and see Alfie the owner walking into the back. "What's wrong?" Michael asks confused. "Do you mind ordering for me? I just wanna go say hi to Mr Thomson"
"Sure" he shrugs and looks down at the menu and I go to find Mr Thompson.
****
Janet's POV
Michael called me and let me know what was going on and his plans to stay longer so I came over with some more of their things and agreed to babysit while they went to the hotel.
"Are you sure it's a good idea for her to be going back so soon?" I ask while Leanne is upstairs. "Not really, but she keeps on insisting she go"
"Then why not try and talk her into coming home instead? It can't be good for her staying here after everything that's happened. We're her family now and she needs to be close to us and so do you"
"It's probably just gonna be for a few days, but she doesn't wanna leave and to be honest. I'm lucky she's even talking to me right now. I don't wanna start trying to force her to come home. If her being here is what she wants then we'll stay here a little while"
"But it's not good for her"
"She's fine"
"Of course she's not fine. She's self harming again" I frown "no she's not"
"Then how do you explain the bandage around her wrists? I'm not stupid Michael. It's pretty obvious what she did" I raise an eyebrow. "She did the first night, but that was because of all what had just happened, but she's ok now"
"So she's just gotten over it?" I shrug sarcastically. "No, but she's more relax and we went out for breakfast this morning and we ran in to a while bunch of people she grew up with and she's been so calm and relaxed. Maybe being back where she grew up might be a good thing for her"
"Michael, you can't just act like everything's ok and let her go out to work like nothing's happened. She acted this way once before rember? And look how well that turned out for Mary"
"That was different. And I'm gonna stay with her at the hotel and the whole time she's here and if there's any problems then we'll be straight back"
"I really hope you know what your doing" I sigh heavily.
I really don't like the idea of Leanne and Michael being an hour away from the rest of us while all this is going on. I know I've only known Leanne a short time, but I could see in her eyes she's not herself and I don't blame her. I can't imagine how confused and overwhelmed she must be feeling right now.
I really hope Michael is right about Leanne being back in her home town being good for her. I don't know the area personally, but from things Leanne has told me. She loved where she grew up.

Leanne's POV
We get to the hotel and Emma rushes straight over to me and gives me a hug. "Hey! I didn't expect you to be back so soon... How are you feeling?" She asks that last part sympatheticly. "I'm ok" I shrug. "Has um... has anybody else been here?" I ask nervously. "She's not here don't worry" she shakes her head, knowing exactly who I'm talking about and I nod. "Did she say anything?"
"She told me who she really was and stuff, but nothing else... I still can't believe you didn't tell her" she frowns at Michael.
"I thought I was doing the right..."
"Anyway" I cut them both off "How s everything been going here?" I ask changing the topic. "Same as always. We've had this one client staying here over the weekend with his wife and they've been nothing but a really pain in the ass though" she rolls her eyes "why what did they do?" Michael asks. "He just complains about every little detail and expects everybody to just drop everything and wait on them hand and foot and for some reason they think it's 'unreasonable' to have set lunch times and have to pay for the mini bar in their room and just then they go on and on and..."
"I get it" he rolls his eyes. Most client we get here are nice and have no problem with their stay, but like most things there's always someone who wants to bitch and moan.
After catching up with Emma a little. Michael goes into the office to catch up on some paperwork and I stayed at the front desk, looking over the bookings while Emma is checking people in and out and sighs heavily. "What's the matter with you?" I frowns confused. "Mr and Mrs Howard" she groans. "Oh.. that's Mr Howard?" I say recognising his face and know now why Emma is so pissed.
"Mr and Mrs Howard! How may I help you!?" Emma fakes a smile. "How may you help me!? I've just read the bill and I've been through everything and you've tried to charge us $2,800! The room was $1,000 and we didn't even touch the mini bar and..."
"Actually you did and then tried fill up the empty bottles with water and put them back" Emma cuts her off. "That's ridiculous! It must have been one of those maids you have wondering around the place! This is ridiculous! I demand to speak with the manager" He snaps and every in the lobby starts staring over at us. "Is there a problem?" I ask walking over "Are you the manger of this place!?" He frown "yes"
"Good! About time you bothered to show up! I wish to make a compliant this check out girl she's trying to con Me! And even we did use the mini bar which we didn't! Then the bill still wouldn't come close to that!" He snaps at Emma. "Why don't we just check on the computer and see exactly what you've been charged for" I suggest and look through it and notice Emma has accidenetly charged them for two separate rooms instead of a double and I'm about to speak when Mr Howard start complaining again.
"You should try training your staff a little better instead of just dragging some random tramp up off the streets!" He scoffs loudly so everybody can here and stops to look over at what's going on "Actually Mr Howard's she didn't make any mistakes" I say loudly. "What are you talking about. Here's a list of your prices and here's a list of things we used! Are you blind!?" He snaps. "Nope, but you haven't listed everything you used. It's shows here you've rented alot of movies over the past few days"
"No we didn't! We didn't watch TV the whole time we were here! Your just as bad as her" he frowns pointing at Emma.
"Well according to this you did. You rented backdoor house wives... camp girls go wild... boys just wanna have cum... two girls on coc.."
"How dare you!" He snaps in a more hushed tone. "I'd never watch such filth and..."
"Well this shows here you did!" I say loudly so everybody can here.
"I did nothing of the sort!" He snaps then looks down slightly when he heard a group of people giggling. "There's alot more on here. I'll be happy to name them all for you sir and..."
"That won't be nessercary" he frowns. "Where's the owner? This is despicable! You girls are nothing but common crooks and you should be fired! I demand to speak with your owner. Now do you think you 'manage' that?" He says sarcastically. "Of that's what you want?" I shrug And I call Michael then pour myself and Emma a glass of champagne while we wait for him.
****
Michael's POV
"Is there a problem?" I ask walking over to the front desk. "These women are icompatant con artist and I demand they be fired immediately!" He snaps at me. "What exactly is the problem?" I frown confused and he starts telling me about to movies their saying he rented.
"We don't rent movies like that sir" I frown confused. "I know that! But that little one with the loud mouth just yelled loudly that I didn't. Just to humiliate me and my wife! He snaps pointing at Leanne"
"Well maybe next time you'll think twice before yell at my best friend and call her a tramp!" Leanne shrugs. "Are you going to let that little loud mouth talk to me like that!?" He frowns. "That little loud mouth is my wife and she owns half this place" I frown. "Your wife?" He frowns confused. "That's right" Leanne smirks at him. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"Just check me out" he frowns "gladly"
"This is the last time I ever step foot in here!"
"Sir, please don't give me false hope. You say this every month, but you still keep coming back" Leanne says sarcastically and he storms out.
"What the hell was that about?" I turn to Leanne confused. "Trust me. He deserved it" Leanne shrugs.
*
"Soo.. that was kinda weird in there" I say to Leanne on the car ride back. "He deserved it" she shrugs "I know your upset, but you can't just take it out on the customers like that. He's not gonna come back now and..."
"Oh please. He's says that every month and still comes back. And if he doesn't then great! All he ever does is talk down to all the staff and treat them like shit. If he can't be respectful to them then he doesn't deserve the luxury of staying in our hotel" she shrugs refusing to admit she was wrong to yell at a guest and I smile slightly.
"Why are you smiling?" She frowns confused. "I just think it's sweet how protective you are about our staff and how you stick up for them and not just yourself" I smile "I've been around customers since I was a baby. I'm kinda used to all kinds of customers now. We'd get people like him at the resturant sometimes"
"At the hotel?" I frown confused "no. The one we went to this morning. That where me and my mo..." she pauses "where I used to work before I moved away" she mumbles "Is that why you wanted to go there today?" I ask and she nods. "Growing up that place was always special to me and not just me. So many others to. Else and Gerry first met there and lots of other people did too. it's the place every would go because everybody was always welcome no matter what"
"Sounds like that place meant alot to alot of people. That's explains why you were so upset when you heard it was getting closed down"
"That'll never happen. That place isn't going anywhere" she smiles shaking her head. "But I thought Else and Gerry said they owners were selling up?" I frown confused. "It was up for sale, but it's not anymore"
"How do you know?"
"Because I bought it" she smiles
