The last day of summer. Ugh. Why does school have to start tomorrow? I mentally slapped myself for having to go to school. Oh, how I wish I was an adult already. Do you know how many how much I dream of my life as an adult? Well,  my mom told me that I should enjoy the time I had left as a teenager and try and not rush into things, which I think is  a great idea, but I don't know about it.

"Eva!!!!!" My mom called me. I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and realized it was time for breakfast. I quickly put my hair ima messy bun and rushed down the stairs. Everyone was already there well except for my dad who was at work. I was surprised that even Rosa was up earlier than me considering she usually gets up at around 12.

"Good morning everyone," I spoke as if I was still really tired, even If I did have 9 hours of sleep. " Good morning Eva, " my family said in unison.

On the table, there was pancakes, bacon, eggs and of course sausage. I quickly grabbed a plate and sat next to Evan as I usually do. Then ever one prayed and began to eat since my family never starts to eat without everyone at the table on Sunday's.

I grabbed some of everything except for bacon considering I despise of it. 30 minutes later and were done eating. I was stuffed but I knew I had to get ready since I had plans with my besties today.

I went upstairs and got my swimsuit and took my shower. By 11:30 I was ready. I decided on wearing my light washed shorts and a white floral crop top. I was wearing my blue BK125 triangle bikini underneath. That, of course, is my favorite swimsuit.

Just as I get my purse and shove my wallet inside my phone starts to ring notifying me that I have a text. We are meeting at my house. Sent from Alex in our group chat. I just sighed and left my room

"Mom, I'm going out now."

" Alright, sweetie. Be safe and text me when you're on your way back."

"Ok. Love you. Bye."

"Bye honey."

I grabbed my house keys and before I made it out of the door, I yelled out, "Bye Evan and Maria!" And with that, I'm out the door.

I walk next door.  I'm at Alex's in 3 minutes and Maria is already there in the back seat. Oh, how she knows me well. I jump into the front seat with my bestie.

"Heyyyyyy!!!! Who's ready to get on the road?"

They all just stared at me and Alex just drove and Maria just went back to her phone. Unsocial much.

20 minutes

 We are currently looking at the Nike shop for some new shoes. I was currently deciding on whether I should get the Air Jordan XXXI Premium or the Jordan Ultra.Fly. I just decided on getting both because I am fairly picky. Alex decided he was gonna get the Air Jordan XXXI N7. And Maria being the captain of the basketball team got the Kyrie 2 iD and the Nike Air Zoom Span Shield. After paying, we went to Calvin Klein. Maria got the Saffiano Leather Chain-Trimmed Tote Bag and the Platinum Engineered Casual Medium Backpack. I got the Leather Quilted Tote and the Soft Calf Utility Backpack . Alex, of course, being a boy, just got a Platinum Engineered Large Backpack. After getting everything we decided to get more school supplies.

About 2 hours later

We're back on the road with the car fully loaded with bags. Yeah, we love to shop. Even Alex who is straight, he doesn't act it, well when he is with Maria and me at the outlets. 

"Why are you guys so quiet today"- I broke the silence 

"Well what is there to talk about, school hasn't started yet"- Maria said

Alex added - "Plus we should savor this quietness because you know that once we get back to school, we won't have any quiet time until we get home so...."

"But being quiet sucks especially when you're with your best friends"- I said getting more and more aggravated

"Fine, we'll talk once we get dressed cause were at the beach."- He said as if I wasn't paying attention.

He parked the car and we all got out. Maria and I went to the changing rooms while Alex went to pick a spot for us to hang. All I had to do was take off my top and shorts because as I said earlier, I was wearing my swimsuit underneath. I wrapped my towel around my waist and got out of the changing room. I waited for Maria for like what felt like an hour but was really 10 minutes.

" why did you take so long?' - I asked her as if I was about to die while we started walking to where Alex was. 

" Well I had to change into my swimsuit," she said with a duh tone as I texted Alex where he was.

He didn't even answer back before we found him. Well, he was actually coming back from his "walk" or should I say run in the shallow end in the water. He apparently left his phone with his towel on his beach chair. 

Maria and I put out our Beach chairs and decided that we were going to hang in the water and then get a tan.

Just before we could step one foot in the water, Alex Came being us and splashed us with water. I mean come on. We weren't even in the water yet and he threw a bucket of water on us. and may I add it was freaking cold. 

"Ugh!!!

You!!!

FUCKTARDS!!!!" I was about to unleash my mean side when I realized that we were still in public and just went to dry myself off and give myself a tan.

Next thing I knew, I was drenched in Ice cold water and it stung. I let out a little scream but then realized that I had fallen asleep. Oh, how I hate my best friends.

" I hate both of you!"I told them and went into the water since I was sleeping for I think and hour.

" You know you love our crazy ass's" they called back.

I wasn't even looking because I was too deep in thought about how I hate my best friends and all of a sudden I hit something hard causing me to stumble but not fall all the way down.

At first, I thought it was a hot boy that might have gone to my school but instead it was a person I did know and called Best friend. He was just laughing up a storm. Fuck him and Maria I mentally thought. why do they always have to team up and mess with me?

  I swam for a while until I got tired and went to get my so called "friends". when I got back I found them packing our things. I'm so thankful to have friends like this.

" Awwww. You guys are so sweet. I'm so grateful"

"Yea Yea. We know were the best out of the three of us" I just rolled my eyes. They can be so conceited.

We all walked to the car hand in hand and of course, I'm in the middle. There's just something about being in the middle that made me feel great. We got to the car and packed everything back n the trunk.

I decided to let Maria sit in the front since I sat there when we were coming. Before Alex could even start the car he said, "Where are we going out to eat? I need to know cause it's my turn to pay for dinner. REMEMBER." Maria and I just looked at each other like we were dumbfounded. I totally forgot. " We'll figure it out once we back to the outlets," I said not realizing that Maria and I only had 10 minutes to find a place to eat.

" Hey Ria, I'm having cravings for some french food. How about you?" I asked looking at this new place in the outlets called Republique. It looks really nice and it's not just a restaurant, it is a cafe, bar, bakery, and bistro. " Yea that does sound nice. What place were you thinking of?" Yes, we get to try it out I was jumping in joy. " I was thinking of going to the new place Republique." I said more civilized and not excited." You heard that Alex. We're going to Republique!" Maria said for me sounding even more excited than I was.

20 Minutes Later

We are waiting for our orders to come in this beautiful restaurant. Maria and I both decided to get a chicken salad and some french fries while Alex got himself a Dry-Aged Beef Burger. Maria and I both got Assam iced tea while Alex got a Mexican style coke.

Once our food came we were so delighted by the way it looked. I just, of course, had to take pictures and send it to my family telling them this is where I want Rosa's birthday to be next year. And of course, in 2 minutes she agreed with me.

Alex, Maria, and I  just started talking random shit as we ate the food that this place provided us with (which we of course ordered). we talked bout how we wanted to stay in summer forever, and how we wanted to be together more because Maria had left with her family, over the summer, to go to Barbados. So it was just me and Alex. We talked about what did over the summer including the work the school told us was required to be done by the beginning of the next grade.  Which for us is our Junior year.

We were going to order dessert but I told them why don't we just take the dessert to go, so we can share with our fam. So We all got a full  Brillat-Savarin Cheesecake each so that we don't have to miss out on the other delicious desserts.

As Alex paid Maria and I started walking to Alex's car. How we are so grateful that we had a best friend like him. As walked I got a message from Maria saying 'We need to come up with the best birthday surprise for him because he does everything for us' 

Before I replied to her I quickly texted my mom 'We are on our way back'  Then I texted Maria back, 'Yea we totally need to make it the best. We'll talk later about it cause he is coming now.'   

As Alex was on his way back and near the car, I looked at Maria and nodded to her and we started running up to him and giving him hugs saying how he is the best. He just stood there and laughed.

He started the car and drove off. By the time we got back It was 8 and I knew that I wanted as much rest as I could get so I said my goodbyes to my friends and went inside my home with all the bags I got from shopping. I need more muscle in my arms. I thought to myself as I set all the bags down except for the one with the cheesecake. That I went into the kitchen and placed it down and made my way to the dining room where everyone was seated.

" I'm back and I brought desert. I already ate so I'm going to go get ready for bed and school tomorrow." I said cheerfully. " Ok, honey, " My mom and Dad said in unison. With that, I go get my stuff until I realize I can't carry them all up by myself.

"Evan!!" I yelled getting the bags that I can carry and the rest leaving them for my brother. He just came in the living room and got the bags with no questions asked. This is why I love having a twin brother, he gets me so well. 

As were walking up the stairs he asks me, " how come you always go out and never ask if I want to come to? There my friends to you know." It just caught me off guard " Oh. Um... I never really knew you wanted to go out with us. But we'll make it up to you next weekend." he just sighed and kept thinking what to do with my younger bro.

We reached my room and I said thanks and he walked out the door. I was about to get ready for my shower when I realized I should just add Evan in The group chat I have with my besties. I did that and headed to my bathroom and took my bath.

Wow, its been a long day. I thought as I was getting out of the shower and putting on my black tank top and PJ pants. I got out of my bathroom and went to start packing for tomorrow. I put my books in my bag and my essentials in there too. I then went inside my walk-in closet and  got my outfit for tomorrow. I put it on my hanger and put it on the door of my bathroom. I then walked downstairs and said good night to my mom and dad who were still up. "good night" and then I went upstairs to say good night to my siblings.

I started with Evan since his room was further away from mine than everyones. I knock on the door and then walk in. he is on his computer and so I get on his bed and tell him "goodnight." I then give him a hug and leave the room. I walk to Rosa's room which is right next to my room and tell her goodnight since her door was already open. We hug and I leave the room. 

I walk to my room and shut the door. I text my friends good night and turn on my alarm. I put my phone to charge and go to sleep. I hope tomorrow won't be bad especially because I'm going back to that hell hole. With that, I'm off to sleep

I never knew how hard it was for authors to write. I definitely appreciate them more now.

I was supposed to publish this yesterday but I fell asleep and my computer died. And whenever I fall asleep doing something and then I wake up I go straight back to sleep on my bed.
