Jay's POV

The day came when all our parents we're supposed to come visit, we all spent the morning cleaning up, and making sure everything was in order before our parents got here. My parents we're the first to arrive, I ran out to greet them and they hugged me tight, I led them into the house where they we're greeted by everyone else. They started asking questions about how everyone was, and what we had been upto lately. There was a knock at the door and Kai went to answer it, in a few seconds I heard Kai say

"Dr. Julian, welcome" Zane must have heard him too, because he immediately ran off to the entry way, I heard Zane and his father greet each other, and then there was a pause, I assume for a hug, before they walked into the room

"Father this is..."

"Ed, Edna!" Zane was cut off by his father's exclamation

"Um, well, yes" Zane said confused, Dr. Julian ran over to my parents.

"Julian, what are you doing here?" my dad asked

"I'm here visiting my son"

"Oh yes, Zane is your son, how could we have forgotten. Edna make a note of that"

"Of course Dear" my mom pulled a notebook out of her pocket and started writing something down. They continued talking about us, and by this time Zane and I we're thoroughly confused. The doorbell rang, and Cole pulled himself away from the conversation to go answer it. Cole came back several seconds later, followed by his father, and the Garmadons (who had apparently shown up at the same time)

"Dad this is Ed and Edna, Jay's parents, and Dr. Julian, Zane's dad, you've met Lloyd's Parents"

"Ed and Edna, haven't we met before? Yes I remember, it was that day at the coffee shop in ninjago city" Cole's dad said, furthering our confusion.

"Oh yes, we we're just talking about that day, I remember you and your son coming to sit with us" my mother responded

"I think I remember that, wasn't it my first trip to ninjago City?" I asked, beginning to understand

"Is this that quiet little boy who came up to my table hiding behind a girl?" Cole's dad asked me.

"Nya and Kai!" Dr. Julian interjected suddenly, turning towards them "that's right, you were there too, but where are your parents?" at this question Nya and Kai visibly tensed up, I slid my hand into Nya's to comfort her.

"Our parents died several years ago" Kai said as calmly as possible

"I'm very sorry to hear that, they we're good friends of mine" Dr Julian almost whispered. There we're several seconds of awkward silence before the parents slowly started back up the conversation. After a few minutes everyone was talking and laughing once again, by this time we we're all beginning to remember that day, except for Zane, who had apparently 'lost that memory in a system update', as his father put it. The day went by fast and soon it was time for our parents to leave, they all left one by one, leaving only Lloyd's parents, we all settled down in the living room and Cole said

"I can't believe we met each other all those years ago and didn't even know it" Kai got up and turned on the tv

"yeah, what a weird coincidence."

"It sound like the four of you we're meant to be friends" Misako said in her wise sounding voice, than she and garmadon got up to leave.

"Is she saying it was fate that I got stuck with you guys as roommates?" I joked, that earned me a punch on the shoulder from Lloyd.

"Perhaps it was fate that we we're brought together so that we could keep you out of trouble Jay" Zane laughed, that made everyone else laugh, and we all talked and laughed for the rest of the evening, as a family.
