"Mom, are we there yet?" Kat sat up in the back seat of the car. She was wearing her new Pusheen shirt with a black hoodie on. She had her cat-eared headphones on. Her family was rather wealthy. "I've been in this car FOREVER!" Kat complained. Kat's mom was the director of an talent show that traveled around the country. She insisted that they drove from New York to California instead of flying. 'It will be fun and bring us closer together!' Kat's mom had said. 

As they pulled up in front of the hotel, someone jumped out at the car. "Ma'am, may i have your autograph?" My sister woke up and signed the paper. The man shook her hand and left. My sister was always the star helper for mom's show. She also programed holo grams online. She was pretty famous on the computer.

We entered the hotel penthouse. The hotel was old and falling apart. Sweet Apple Inn, thats the name. My room had one orange wall and the rest was all black. One window jutted out from the right side of the room. It had a parking lot view. How 'nice'. Kat hated moving around every week. She did not go to school. She took online classes. Everywhere she went she was greeted, " Hello Ms.Katrina. How are you doing?" She always wanted to yell, "My name is Kat and I'm doing horrible!" But her mom taught her to behave.

Kat placed her stuffed animal onto the bed and stared at it. The plush toy was a silver and white cat with yellow eyes. Her sister got it for her when she was 3. Kat was 11 now. She had named the cat Light. Her mom's concert was starting in two hours. As her mom came by and started talking she turned up the volume on her favorite song. Why you gotta be so rude. It reminded her of her own life. Why do people have to be so rude?
