"As some of you know, we lost a great ally yesterday. Nightwing decided it was time to hang up the mask and become a full-time civilian. He asks that he is not bothered unless it is an emergency. Also, I ask that you do not bother him, or else." Batman glared at everyone daring them to disturb his distressed son. 

All the heroes were gathered in the Watchtower, even partial heroes and allies. 

Whispers spread across the Watchtower.

"I will be taking any questions now." Batman said.

Everyone raised their hand and Batman sighed.

"Batman, why did Nightwing retire?" Superman asked, and most of the hands went down.

"It was time. He's been in this business for such a long time. He has a breaking point just like everyone else. And he meet it on the last mission." Batman said.

"Sir, what is he doing right now? How is he?" asked Captain Marvel.

All but one hand went down.

"He's.... adjusting. Civilian life is very different from the vigilante life." Batman answered.

"Now, what Jason?" Batman asked.

"What classifies as an 'emergency'?" Red Hood asked.

"If everyone you see here is in trouble, and there is NO ONE left but you and Nightwing, THEN you can enlist in his assistance." Batman said. 

"Okay." Jason replied.

"Other than that, you are not to say, visit, or even think about Nightwing. He is of now a civilian and we don't bring civilians into this." Batman said and gestured at all the costume clad heroes. 

"Do you all understand?" asked Batman. 

Everyone gave a firm nod.

How was that? By the way, that was my first time using the word 'enlist' so, tell me if I used it wrong.
