Re-Cuffed

Hey, sorry if this chapter isn't as good as the others, I think writer's block is hitting me on this one. :(

Jinx was standing outside the door to the Head's offices.

She heard some screaming, talking, crying, and a few doors shut.

'WHAT is going on in there?' Jinx's curiosity reached it's peak.

She HAD to know!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Now what happens?" Bruce asked, still frowning.
"We get Slade here and chain them back up." Amanda said.
"I want to see his living quarters." Bruce demanded.
"That's up to Slade." Amanda said.
Bruce did reply.
They were all standing around for a bit before Bruce said something.
"You can come our now." Batman said.
He turned to the closed door.
He walked over and opened it up, revealing a girl.
This girl had pink hair, pink eyes, and pale skin.
She was wearing a dark purple dress, pink and black striped tights, and dark purple shoes.
"Jinx? Why are you here?" Richard asked.
"None of your beeswax!" Jinx sneered.
"Why are you here Jinx?" Amanda asked.
"I was just-" Jinx started.
"Eavesdropping." Slade said.
Jinx stiffened and turned around to look at Slade.
"Jinx. This doesn't concern you. Now leave." Slade said.
"Well excuse me for trying to figure out why BATMAN is at our school." Jinx said.
"How much did you hear?" Batman asked.
"Enough." Jinx lied.
"Stop lying. You just got to the door." Batman said.
"Jinx, leave now and we will forget that you lied and eavesdropped." Amanda said.
"I just want to know why Batman is here!" Jinx huffed, refusing to go without an answer.
"Because he's Batman." Flash said.
"Great thinking." Black Canary muttered sarcastically.
"I'm not good with thinking under pressure!" Barry frowned.
"We can tell." Jinx deadpanned.
"I still want to know though!" Jinx said, looking at Amanda and Batman.
"Jinx. I suggest you go and don't tell anyone about this." Slade said.
"Too late for that! Everyone in the school who has a window has already seen Batman!" Jinx said.
"Jinx, go. We can't deal with this right now." Black Canary said.
"I'm not leaving without an answer!" Jinx said firmly.
"I'll tell you later! Now, go." Dinah said and pointed at the door.
"You better." Jinx narrowed her eyes as she walked out.
They all waited for a few minuets before Amanda started to move.
She pulled out the suitcase with the handcuffs in it.
"Can't they just stay together without the hand cuffs?" Bruce asked.
"No, sorry. Slade can't move if he has a little extra weight and if he did want to move, he'd have to pick Richard up to move. I'm pretty sure he can't fight with just his legs." Amanda said.
"Hey, I know for a FACT that you can! I do it often." Richard said.
"Yes, but you're more flexible than Slade." Amanda said.
"True." Richard didn't deny.
Amanda came over to the two of them and clipped the cuffs over the same wrists as before.
"I would like to see the living quarters that my son is in." Bruce said.
"Why?" Slade asked.
"Because he's my son and I want him to be safe." Bruce's eyes narrowed at Slade.
The two of them glared at each other.
"Slade, just let him see, and then he'll go." Amanda said.
"I would also like to discuss his grades." Bruce looked at Amanda.
"He's getting As in all of his classes." Amanda said showing Bruce Richard's grades.
"How come he doesn't have a music class?" Bruce asked.
"He didn't sign up for one." Amanda said.
"Richard, why didn't you?" Bruce asked, looking at Richard.
Richard shrugged.
"Richard." Bruce warned.
Richard just shrugged and looked down at his feet.
"Dickie, you're amazing! You're talented with singing and playing multiple instruments!" Bruce said.
"I just don't wanna play in front of anyone. And I'm afraid some of the songs that we do play are going to be boring." Richard said.
"Bruce, what he's saying is that he's a free spirit when it comes to playing and singing. He's afraid the material and being forced to play will burn out his desire TO play and sing." Dinah said.
"Don't worry Bruce, he has access to the music room any time he wants." Amanda said.
Bruce is quite and still a moment before he nods.
"All right. But if he does want to join a music program-" Bruce started.
"We have several music programs. He'll be able to." Amanda cut Bruce off.
"Good. Now, Slade, living quarters." Bruce said, business as always.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Is everything to your satisfaction?" Slade frowned.

"It will do...for now." Bruce said.

"Richard, I'll be going now. See you next break." Bruce said.

Richard gave Bruce a short hug before he left.

"He's a pleasure." Slade sneered.

"Reminds me of someone else." Richard looked at Slade.

"Just know boy, I can handle myself just fine. And for the record, I don't need my hands to kill someone." Slade said glaring at Richard.

"That's good, 'cause I don't either." Richard glared back.

"Let's go put your things up." Slade said.

Richard picked up his bags.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Richard put Zitka and Batsy on his side of the bed with a smile.
"Done!" Richard announced to Slade, who was reading a book.
"Finally." Slade said.
"What's for dinner?" Richard asked.
"A salad and some chicken." Slade said.
"Cool!" Richard smirked and they headed towards the kitchen.
The two of them made dinner and then sat on the couch.
"Sorry about Bruce. He's just overprotective." Richard said after a while.
Slade didn't say anything or even acknowledged Richard.
"He's just my...and you know how they are!" Richard couldn't say 'dad'.
"No, I don't. My father was horrible and my mother I didn't even know." Slade said.
"You gattah have some other family! Or someone you consider family!" Richard said.
"I don't." Slade was covering something up.
"You're lying! Why are you lying to me?" Richard pressed.
"Because there are somethings that you don't need to know." Slade said angrily.
Richard gasped as he saw Slade's eye.
It was a look of someone who had lost a very important person.
A look he was too familiar with.
Richard hugged Slade tightly.
"I'm sorry. I know what it's like to lose someone important though." Richard whispered as he hugged Slade.
Slowly, Slade hugged him back.
"I know, kid. I know."
