Mallika's P.O.V :

Ugh ! It turned out that my student ambassador is a SELFIE - ADDICTED drama queen Jannat Zubair ! I was still waiting at the school office when a girl holding a sign that said 'Welcome Mallika' arrived at the spot . She introduced herself and I introduced myself . Then she said that we could be BFF's and decided to take a selfie with me . But , instead of taking me in the selfie , she told me to fan her to show a blowing effect . Anyway after we finally finished that awkward photo shoot , Jannat helped me to find my locker . She then introduced me to her BFF's , and then gave me a 90 minute tour of their school .  It was so huge , I could have ended up lost there for days . Once we finished the tour , we stopped by the office to pick up my class schedule . Then she gave me a trash talk about all of my teachers . Thanks to her , I found out that my French teacher was Madame Danielle who was also the head of foreign languages department and the advisor for the trip to Paris . I excitedly explained to Jannat that my French teacher at my school had recommended me for that program and that I was dying to go to Paris ! I immediately rushed down to the office to request an appointment with Madame Danielle . So now I am scheduled to meet her on Friday . I am just praying that she will select me to go to Paris . It will be the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life !

At lunchtime , Jannat invited me to sit at a table with her and seven of her closest people . Although I was trying my best to be friendly , Jannat was starting to get on my last nerve . This girl was so vain that she took a selfie , like , every ten minutes . Next , she asked me to get her lunch since I was getting my lunch . Then she asked me to dump her tray since I was dumping my tray too .   And finally she asked me to carry her books since I was carrying my books .  That is when I totally lost it ! But thank the gods that I am a very calm person , so I did not scream at her . My first day here at ISD has been exhausting . But unless I want to drop out of the student exchange program and give up all hope of going to Paris , I do not have a choice but to try to put up with Jannat and her phony friends . Hey , it is only four more days ! The good news is that things can not get any worse . But the bad news is that I may be totally wrong about the good news !
