Balrog
Your POV:
Gandalf- To the bridge!
I start mumbling insults as we run, fire behind us. Then, I freeze as I see it.
(Y/N)- WHAT THE FUCK!?
The Balrog starts coming towards us and I yell something about it being hotter than me while we run as fast as we can. One by one, they start going on the bridge to the other side, but Legolas and I are still on the bridge when the Balrog arrives. I freeze in place, not knowing what to do. I have to save him! But I can't! I feel a hand grab my arm and drag me away from Gandalf, seeing Legolas. I try to get out of his grip but at the same time, I know that I have to let it happen so I let him drag me away, selling Gandalf's fate.
Gandalf- You cannot pass!
Frodo- Gandalf!
(Y/N)- No...
Gandalf- I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udûn! Go back to the Shadow. YOU. SHALL NOT. PASS!
As the Balrog falls, I grip Legolas' arm. I can feel his eyes on me but I stay silent, waiting for what I know will happen. As I knew it, its lasso thing grabs Gandalf's ankle. My instincts tell me to go help him but Legolas keeps me from doing so. The screams of Frodo make me whimper.
Gandalf- Fly, you fools!
Frodo and I scream as he falls.
(Y/N)/Frodo- NO!
I free myself from Legolas' grip and run to the end of the bridge, searching for Gandalf in the dark. I close my eyes in defeat when I do not see him and do not even realize that someone is dragging me outside. I start to calm down, telling myself that he will come back, but the faces of everyone make me sad. I want to tell them but I cannot risk changing the future. He will come back in due time. Though, that scene still broke my heart.
Aragorn- Legolas, get them up.
Boromir- Give them a moment for pity's sake!
(Y/N)- We cannot stay here. By nightfall, there will be orcs everywhere. He is right, we have to continue.
Aragorn- We must reach the woods of Lothlorien.
I smile a bit at knowing that I will at least see my mother again.
Boromir- Why do you seem to not care? Gandalf was a close friend of you, was he not?
I look up at him and frown. This isn't good.
Boromir- Of course he was. But being sad will get in the way of our mission. The mission he would want us to finish.
Boromir- You have been acting weird since the moment we walked into Moria. Did you know of what would happen and still did nothing to stop it?
Legolas- Leave (Y/N) alone, Boromir. You saw how shaken she was.
Boromir- Not the kind of shaken you would expect.
(Y/N)- Shut up! I would never let a friend die for no reason so shut your mouth, Boromir. You do not know what you are talking about.
My voice is full of venom as I say this, eyes betraying the fear behind my anger. They stare at me, surprised by my sudden change of attitude, but I say nothing else as I help the hobbit stand up. We run to the forest. By the time we get there, we have had the time to calm down a bit and I am now back to my normal self, though it is more to stop thinking about Gandalf than anything. Walking into the forest, I smirk a bit at what I know is coming. This is going to be amusing.
Gimli- Stay close, young hobbits! They say that a great sorceress lives in these woods. An Elf-Witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell.
I see Frodo looking around and I roll my eyes. Don't scare him, mom, you're embarrassing me!
Gimli- And are never seen again.
As I see Frodo get really uncomfortable, I put my hand on his shoulder.
(Y/N)- Don't worry too much about what she says.
He seems surprised that I know about that but I just give him a small smile before walking back to my place next to Legolas.
Gimli- Well, here's one dwarf she won't ensnare so easily. I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox.
Right as he says this, elves appear and point their bows at us.
Haldir- The dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark.
I grin at him and he seems surprised to see me.
Haldir- Lady (Y/N)?
(Y/N)- Sup fuckers!
I push the bow aimed at me and carelessly walk past the elves. Everyone stares at me in confusion except for Haldir that seems done with my shit already.
(Y/N)- You can stop pointing your weapons at them, they're just here for protection. Come on!
Haldir looks at Frodo.
Haldir- Come. She is waiting.
(Y/N)- Oooh! You're in troubleee!
