Jewel's POV

I opened my eyes slowly. I shivered slightly as warmth returned to me. I hadn't realized before, but I was ice cold. I wasn't feeling so good either. Probably because of the nightmares that had just happened.

I stood up and stumbled out of the room. The castle was deserted. I made my way to the winter room. Where was everyone? Last thing I remember, I was talking to Shadow and Haze. And then she shot the black sand at me... Was this whole day just a bad dream? Had family day even started yet? Or was it still the day before family day? Had Shadow just been a piece of my imagination?

When I entered the winter room, I knew instantly something was wrong. The snow was starting to melt, and the trees were groaning and tilting. But that was impossible! As long as either Elsa or Jack remained in the castle, the ice would stay. My feet were suddenly frozen to the floor and Edward appeared in front of me. He was pointing his sword at me, which looked more like an icicle since it was made of ice. When he realized who I was, he lowered the sword and the frost on my feet vanished.

"Sorry Jewel. Didn't realize it was you." He said sheepishly.

"What's going on here? Where is everyone?" I asked.

"All of the adults except for Aunt Anna went out to find the kids. Aunt Anna is searching the castle. Jack Jr., Snowflake, Jenny, Grace, and the twins are gone."

"Where did they go?"

"If we knew that, we wouldn't be out looking for them."

"What happened while I was out?"

"I'm not really sure. After talking with the adults, I was walking to my room when suddenly mom ran past me yelling for the kids. I followed her here, where we found the room empty. No one was there. I stayed behind, and pretty much everyone else went out to find them."

"Who could it have been?" I wondered out loud.

"Actually, I think I know."

"How could you?"

"Well, mom and dad explained that I needed to keep my eye out for anyone with spiky black hair, white hair, and amber or red eyes."

"How does that explain anything?"

"Well, you remember when dad said to stay away from anyone named Pitch, Shadow, or Haze Black?"

"Yeah..."

"Well, I think there's something going on between dad and those three. Specifically Pitch."

"I think you're right. This morning, I listened to mom and dad. They were talking about Pitch. They said that family day was the anniversary of the last time they saw Pitch."

"I wish they had told us more. Now we have no idea what we're up against."

"Pitch nearly killed your parents." Anna's voice suddenly said. Me and Edward spun around to see her standing in the doorway.

"What do you mean?" Edward asked.

"Your parents wouldn't want me telling you this, but I think you have a right to know. Your father isn't from around here."

"We know that. When mom met him, she says he was always dressed silly." I put in.

"Your father is from another world, possibly even another time. Where he's from, people fly in large metal birds and travel quickly with metal boxes. Your father was an immortal there, with ice powers. He had an enemy, Pitch Black. Pitch Black was also immortal, with powers over nightmares and black sand."

"So Pitch isn't dad's best friend like Snowflake said?" I asked.

"That's right. Jack chased Pitch to this world, where he protected Elsa. But Elsa didn't know he was there. Neither did I. He did his best to protect Elsa from her fears and Pitch. Eventually, Elsa was able to see Jack. But Pitch managed to convince her that he wasn't real, and Elsa accidentally shot Jack with the same ice she shot me with. Jack still defended her from Pitch, and she believed in him again. Then she was arrested, and Jack was left in the ruins of her castle. He froze to solid ice there, and Elsa brought him back to life with an act of true love. They were married, and Pitch hasn't appeared. Until now."

"But then what's the deal with Shadow and Haze?" Edward asked.

"We believe Pitch has had children. That would be Shadow and Haze. They probably want to follow in their father's footsteps. Probably have actually. We fear that they kidnapped the kids."

"Then we better go save them." Edward said. The three of us hurried down the halls and to the front gates, where we were surprised to see a girl with long slightly curly brown hair and chocolate colored eyes. She wore a sparkly sleeveless violet dress, and looked slightly surprised and excited to see us.

"What perfect timing! Edward, I've been looking for you everywhere!" She girl explained.

"Tempest? What are you doing here? I thought I told you I was busy today!" Edward asked. Of course! I recognized her now. She was Edward's girlfriend.

"You don't look very busy to me right now."

"We are very busy. We need to go find my little brother and sisters, as well as my cousins."

"Oh no! Maybe I can help!"

"No no no. I need you to stay here and see if they come back. Can you do that?"

"Are you sure?"

"Very sure. It would be really helpful."

"Well.... ok. Anything to help." We made our way past Tempest and hurried on.

Sorry for the wait guys! Wattpad has been giving me problems. I decided to just push through so I could give you your chapter though. Hope you enjoyed it!
