I simply watched at the TV in disgust how Phoebe was interviewing that woman about orgasms. Seriously? Think with your brains ladies.

I looked up in alarm, sensing a demon behind me, turning around, seeing it was two demons. One had created a hole in the floor which began sucking everything into it, including the TV. I jumped toward the other room, grabbing onto the doorframe next to Piper, refraining the urge to beam away.

Piper tried to blow the demon who created the hole in the floor with one hand but blew up a vase of flowers instead.

"You should practice your aim!" I exclaimed, pushing my hair out of my face with one hand

Piper gave me a look, "Not the time, Bree! Chris!"

Chris orbed in. "Piper, Bree. Let's go"

Piper shook her head "No, Wyatt's upstairs. Just go get my sisters"

Chris sighed, orbing away

"I hope what they're doing is extremely important for them to not show up to help us" I told her

Piper said nothing, holding onto the doorframe

The demons were still here.

It pissed me off that neither of my active powers was helpful in this occasion... oh, wait.

Piper blew the chandelier above one of the demons, landing on him making fall to the ground. The hole in the floor closed up. Demon 1 stood, running through the house.

"Oh, no!" Piper glared after demon 1, following him toward the dinning room "You don't!"

Demon 2 looked toward Piper, creating another hole in the floor, making Piper grab onto the stairs railing, stopping her from chasing demon 1

Piper was starting to get sucked into the hole, trying to blow Demon 2 up, grazing his shoulder causing the hole to close up

I conjured an athame, using his moment of distraction with Piper to throw it at Demon 2's heart, destroying him.

Demon 1 looked angry, disappearing before I could do the same to him.

Piper breathed heavily, looking at me. "Couldn't you have done that earlier?"

I sighed sheepishly, "I need to practice too"

Piper shook her head, sighing deeply

Phoebe, Paige and Chris were already here, helping us clean the huge mess. Chris was with the Book of Shadows.

"So wait, a vortex did all of this?" Phoebe asked

"Vortex, whirlpool" Piper told them, shrugging "I don't know, whatever"

"Well, if it was a whirlpool, there'd probably be some water" Paige told us

"The fineries of what almost killed Piper and Bree aren't important" Chris told them "The point is they were almost killed and no one was here to help"

I scratched my neck, "But we didn't. We vanquished the demon, didn't we?" 

Chris gave me a look

"You're right" Paige told us guiltily "I'm sorry, I was kind of tied up or cut in half"

"And I was interviewing the most fascinating woman" Phoebe told us

I gave her a disgusted look "Oh, right, the orgasm lady"

Phoebe shrugged, smiling slightly

"That show was great, at least what I saw of it until the TV was sucked into oblivion" Piper told her "I hope you brought home that book"

I gave her a slight wide eyed look "I hope you didn't"

Phoebe gave me an amused look, nodding at Piper "Mm-hm"

I rolled my eyes, "Ugh"

"Piper, doesn't it bother you had to vanquish that demon alone?" Chris asked

"Actually Bree did" Piper told him. They looked at me. I shrugged "But you know, we all have lives which is why I need this place cleaned up before my guests arrive"

I frowned, looking away. And I need my family together and safe. What's more important than that?

"Who's coming?" Paige asked

"Mary has designed a fashion line and she wants to show us all" Piper answered

Paige smiled "I love clothes"

I bit my lip, sighing sadly. That remained me of PJ, my sister. She used to bond with Paige over clothes even if she was more quiet and reserved than I was.

Chris raised his hand, raising his eyebrows "Not so fast, we've got a demon to hunt. If I could just find him in here"

"We vanquished him" I reminded him

"Didn't you say there were two?" Chris asked, raising his eyebrows

I sighed.

"Okay, but regardless of what you find in there, I'm gonna hang out with my friends because I will have a normal life if it kills me" Piper told him, slamming down her hands on her thighs, grimacing in pain, looking at her bandaged hand "Ouch"

"Piper, why don't you have Leo heal that when he comes to pick up Wyatt" Phoebe suggested

"Because I don't need magic to heal a cut" Piper told her

"I'd use magic for everything if I could" Paige told them

I threw my hands up, turning away.

"Well, if I had done this fighting a demon, that would be one thing" Piper replied "But I did it in the kitchen. The chef did it in the kitchen, so that person will wear this bandage for the shame of it all"

Chris sighed, lowering the book "Well, this book is not going to help us. But I've seen vortexes like that before.

Paige put a huge bunch of roses on the table. "You know, this job would be so much easier if there weren't so many roses"

"What's with all the roses?" Piper asked

"I think Jason thinks that he's losing me" Phoebe answered. I perked, starting to smile, trying to hide it behind my hand "And as an empath, I don't know who's feeling what anymore and I just, I have my guard up"

"You should be aware that these vortexes suck their victims into pocket realms of alternate realities" Chris told them

They seemed to ignore him

"You know, sometimes guys can be funny like that, you know" Paige told her "The more you pull away, the more they come back at you"

"Yeah, but I'm not pulling away" Phoebe told her, frowning. I rolled my eyes "I really like him"

"Dangerous alternate realities, people" Chris stressed, annoyed they were ignoring him "Based on fantasies, desires, dreams"

I looked down thoughtfully. Huh. Let's stay away from evil vortexes, then.

"So stop worrying about it and let him wine and dine you" Piper told them "I mean, a little wooing never killed anyone"

"But a demon can, so can we please, please, let's focus" Chris told them "Piper, you and Bree were almost sent to another world, that takes serious magic"

Paige looked up, smiling "Magic. Brilliant idea. 'Let the object of objection become but a dream, as I cause the seen to be unseen'." The mess orbed away. "Well, call me butter 'cause I'm on a roll"

Piper looked around, impressed "Wow, that's much better, thanks Paige"

Paige nodded "Yep, well, gotta get back to the temp job. Don't know how much longer those old folks are gonna be alive"

Paige walked toward the door

"And I'll walk you out because I have to meet Jason for lunch" Phoebe told her, following Paige.

I watched them go, wistfully.

"No!" Chris told them "No, no, no. We have a demon to hunt, get back here"

Paige waved a hand "See you later, Chris"

"We'll talk about it later" Phoebe told him

Phoebe and Paige walked away, leaving.

Piper walked toward us, leaning her head on Chris shoulder "You are our new favourite Whitelighter and all, but you need to lighten up"

"You really should take this seriously" I told her "If you continue like that, there would be a day you'll lose your sisters the same I lost mine"

I walked away, before they could say something.

Chris and Piper watched Bree go.

Chris sighed "Didn't think this would bring memories for her"

Piper looked at him, frowning "Bree has sisters?"

"Had" Chris corrected quietly, hesitating onto wether to say more about his cousin or not "One of the reasons she was so willing to travel with me to the past. She wants to save them" He turned to Piper, "She's right. You three need to get serious, because if you keep putting your personal lives before your wiccan duties, you're gonna pay for it. And I know Bree wouldn't wish that upon you"

Piper looked thoughtful, glancing toward Bree left, sympathetic for the young witch "Maybe so. We scared the demon away, though. While I didn't know that was her power. I'm sure the demon will think twice to bother us, so we're fine" she began walking toward the kitchen, "I have chocolate chip cookies in the oven, see you" 

Chris frowned, narrowing his eyes. Right then. If they weren't taking this seriously, then he had no choice. He wasn't going to let the future repeat itself and having his cousin witness more Halliwells losing their family

Chris orbed away, a new objetive in mind. Too bad he wasn't going clear minded and wouldn't realize he was going to involve another extra Halliwell witch in his plans.
