A/N:
I'm really sorry.

I had a super massive and BIG writer's block that I never thought I would never get out of it. I'm not ready to like stop writing this book nor leave it discontinued because I have so much planned for this.

I know I'm a slow author or simply I get distracted so easily which leads my mind to create new stories for new books and when that happens, the ones I worked with before gets forgotten until my mind snaps back into actions and remembers them. It's annoying for me and I'm sure it is annoying as well for you as readers. I will try to finish some before I stack myself with more new ones but I don't promise anything.

I do want to keep writing this one and to make it up to you got all the time you've been waiting for an update, this chapter turned out to be a more of 4K words which is so far the longest chapter I've ever written within this book.

I hope you enjoy and forgive me for taking really so long.

~8~

I knew we had screwed up. I should know better, I mean, I'm from the future. I'm supposed to help the sisters from making dumb decisions.

Well, technically I was here to stop Wyatt from turning evil.

But uh, little details.

We were still at the Attic.

Paige was frantically looking through the Book of Shadows as Piper laid down on a couch. She had gotten hurt and I felt guilty about it.

Why is it that I couldn't vanquish this demon?

Phoebe walked in, holding an ice pack and I looked away. Phoebe was scary when she was disappointed and I didn't want to face her disappointment directed at me. At least, this time if she did, she wouldn't be my mom. She'd be a disappointed friend.

I didn't know what was worse.

Every day that Phoebe kept going like a stranger to me and not my mom hurt even deeper. I missed her motherly hugs though they annoyed me to death. Had I known she wouldn't be there to give me those hugs but present and oblivious to our relationship, I would have never told mom how annoying she was. That saying was true. You never know what you have until you lose it.

Phoebe raising her voice to the ceiling snapped me from my thoughts "This would all be so much easier if someone that could heal you was actually listening!"

Piper sat up. "It's no big deal, I've had worse"

Phoebe sat beside Piper, placing the ice pack on Piper's shoulder. "Still, those two need a talking to I'll tell you"

Paige groaned, looking up from the book.

I walked closer to her. Now, I was definitely invested with this case after losing Larry, which was totally my fault for not waiting Paige to summon the demon.

"I don't understand" Paige told us. "Faustian deals have been around for more than a century but there is nothing in here on how to break them. How is that possible?"

"Maybe because they can't be broken" Piper told her.

I shook my head slightly, frowning. "It can't be, there's gotta be a way"

Paige nodded, pointing at me, thankful I was on her side. I've always been on your side, Auntie Paige. "I am not giving up on Larry now"

Phoebe sighed, giving us sympathetic looks "Listen, sweeties, maybe you should. I know you feel guilty about what happened"

Was that written on my face? Because I knew she couldn't read my feelings.

"That's not it" Paige told her.

"It's affecting all of us now, not just you" Phoebe said softly.

"We said we were sorry" I said sheepishly, not looking at Phoebe.

Piper gave me a disapproving look "That's not the point"

Paige step back from the book, giving her sisters a frustrated look, "Listen, I just want to save his soul"

Thank you for not involving me in there, Paige.

"But you can't" Piper told her, sternly.

"Larry said that Zahn keeps his contracts locked up somewhere, so if we can find them and destroy them, then we can set all those souls free" Paige said, looking at me.

I nodded in agreement. He did say that. And I wanted to help.

Adventures with Auntie Paige were never boring.

Piper shook her head, "I don't think so"

Paige and I exchanged startled looks.

"Why not?" Paige asked.

"We think we should go after Zahn" Phoebe told us. "Stop him before he gets anymore powers"

I frowned. That wasn't the Phoebe I knew and loved. "What, and just let all those souls burn?"

Piper looked at me, "They're already lost, Bree. He's already got them"

That didn't stop them from helping the innocent!

Well, at least not in the future. What exactly did we change here?

Phoebe sighed, "I think it's important that you stop him before he becomes unstoppable"

Paige shook her head, firmly "No"

Well, Paige hasn't changed. This was the reason why she was my favorite. Here and in the future. Always thought mom was a bit jealous of that.

"Paige, Bree, we don't like this anymore than you do, but this is where we're at" Piper told us.

"He's our innocent" Paige told them.

Yay, thank you for that.

"Yeah, but this is our problem, and one that we did not ask for by the way" Piper told us.

I scoffed, "Thank you for letting me know the Charmed ones leave innocents to die. Great inspiration for young witches, you are"

I flashed them sarcastic thumbs up.

"No, we're not" Paige told me. "At least not me. I'm not sacrificing him"

Phoebe looked at me sadly as if to think they were going to be a bad influence in the future.

"You don't have a choice" Piper told us. "This is beyond your control, I'm sorry"

Paige glared at her sisters, grabbing my arm, dragging me out of the room.

~8~

Paige had always been the wild one. The cool aunt. She always made sure I was relaxed before training with my powers when she realized I had problems in controlling both sides. Mom always wanted me to succeed the same way Prue did. She was the perfect cupid witch. Nothing she did was wrong. Payton was their little angel, good at spell casting even at her young age and me? I was in the middle (both, biologically and in power). I always thought mom would understand being a middle sister and give me some slack but she never did. She wanted me to be a great witch and dad wanted me to be a great cupid. I saw how great my sisters were and I wanted to be the same. My powers contradicted me. I didn't have a balance on them and I got easily stressed. It never helped the teasing I always got from Wyatt whenever my cupid side would get domain over myself. I can't even remember the times I had to be orbed back home by him or Chris whenever this happened.

This is where Cool Auntie Paige enters. She knew I struggled and felt stressed by the pressure of controlling my powers. She'd take me out some evenings to different parts of the world - orbing, of course - and allowed me to relax under the starts of different high places before helping me concentrate and get a hang of my powers.

I called them adventures with Auntie Cool when I was little. Piper always looked amused whenever we'd return, me babbling over and over about the places we had gone to while helping her set up the dinner table.

I always loved Paige for that. She never put pressure on me. Always made sure I was okay before practicing. There were some moments, - which I immediately felt ashamed of - I wished Paige was my mom and not Phoebe. But, still.. I would have never switched moms. Phoebe was the best mom and Paige was the cool aunt.

Which is why, I wasn't surprised to see Paige still had that wild but determination to help those who needed it. I was one of those people who needed her and now Larry needed her.

Paige orbed us to Richard's house and when we landed, I couldn't help it. I wriggled my eyebrows suggestively.

Paige scrunched her nose, shoving me aside.

I laughed.

The housekeeper let us in and we walked over to the study where we found Richard sitting at the desk, looking through some papers.

Richard looked up "Hey, Paige. Bree"

I wriggled my fingers in a greeting.

"Hey, your housekeeper let us in, I hope you don't mind" Paige told him.

"No, it's fine" Richard told us, standing, walking closer to us "Are you okay? Everything alright?"

Paige dropped her shoulders, sighing. "No"

I looked away, playing with my necklace.

~8 ~

Richard was nice on not kicking us out.

We Halliwells usually meant trouble so it was a nice gesture he was willing to listen to us. (it also may have to do that we saved his life)

Paige and I sat on the living room.

I may be mentally a bit more mature due to what happened in the future but being back here in the past allowed me to relax and act a bit more of my age and I used to be a bit childish when I was younger. Piper used to joke and say it was the middle child syndrome which Paige would joke as well and say Chris also had it. We totally denied it, of course but maybe there was a bit of true on that one.

Anyways, that little childish feeling was here as I walked the entire living room, examining every thing in there, picking things up and returning them while Paige stared at me in amusement.

"You can't stay still, can you?" Paige asked, chuckling.

"Never have, never will" I said, turning to her. "It had to be this way in my family. It's a uh, big one.  So I had to always be on the move so I wouldn't be left behind, specially at dinner time to get the best and warm food my aunt Pi-, my really good cook aunt would make" I almost slipped, hopping Paige didn't notice.

Paige didn't. Thank God. "Well, now I know why you desperately want to change the future" she said softly. "Big family. Meaning you lost them and want them back, right?"

You had no idea I mean all of you "Yeah"

Richard walked in, holding a drink and a glass of water "Sorry, I couldn't help it. You're from the future?"

I sighed, "Yup"

"Wow" Richard said curiously "Must be difficult, huh?"

"A bit" I shrugged. "It's different from my present but it's not that bad"

"Her future is pretty bad" Paige pointed out.

I chuckled.

Richard handed Paige the drink "Here" he turned to me, giving me the glass of water "I know technically you're older but all I'm seeing is a minor and I don't give alcohol to minors"

I rolled my eyes but grabbed the water, "Thank you. I don't drink anyway. Doesn't help with my powers"

Richard nodded in acknowledgement, sitting next to Paige as she took a sip of her drink. "So, uh, what are you two gonna do?"

Paige glanced at me. "Well, I got a plan on how to save Larry but it's kind of risky"

That's an understatement.

Richard hesitated. "Maybe you shouldn't go through with it, I mean, maybe your sisters are right"

"You're the one who told me to follow my gut instincts" Paige told him.

"I know, I just, uh, I don't want you to get hurt" Richard told her.

Aw.

Shush, cupid side.

I gripped my necklace tightly, focusing on my human side. I didn't need going all cupid right now on them.

"Listen, I'm gonna need your help to pull this off" Paige told him

Richard sighed, "Paige, if I do magic..."

Paige shook her head, "No, I am not asking you to do that. I'm just gonna need you to get my sisters when it's time. I need their help too but they can't know about it until it's too late to stop me"

Richard tilted his head "Won't they get pissed?"

Paige smiled "Yeah, probably. Guess I'm pretty stubborn, huh?"

Richard chuckled. "Yeah, in a good way. Paige, you have a gift, don't fight it"

I smiled. Indeed, she had.

"Thank you" Paige beamed "Got any candles?"

~8~

The three of us set the living room with candles, waiting to do the spell.

The candles were lit.

Suddenly, Zahn appeared in the center of the room in a swirl of light.

"You again" Zahn looked between me and Paige. "This time it's going to cost you"

Paige stood in front of me, protectively "Wait. I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse"

~8~

I checked my watch for the fifth time.

"Shouldn't I be going to Paige's sisters now?" Richard asked nervously.

"Not yet" I murmured, gripping tightly my necklace.

Any time now I'll stop sensing Paige's life, feeling like losing her exactly when I did with Piper. This time I was ready and wouldn't let it consume me, ready to detach myself from her feelings.

"You're not a normal witch" Richard noted after a moment of silence.

"What gave it away?" I asked absent-mindedly.

"That" Richard pointed at the glow of my eyes.

I closed them, breaking the bond I made with Paige as soon as I felt her disappearing.

I opened them after a moment, "Yeah. You have a good point" I paused. "You should get Phoebe and Piper now"

"I've never seen a witch do what you did" Richard pressed.

I looked at him in annoyance "Can we talk later? Paige and I are in a schedule and I can't get behind"

Without thinking and because I didn't want to lose  Paige's body exact location, I beamed away.

I could only catch a glimpse of the shock on Richard's face as I disappeared from his manor.

~8~

I beamed to an underground type of cave holding up an Auction.

I conjured a large hood to hide myself as I walked within the demons, all excited to get their hands on souls. I could see Zahn in the center of the room.

The reason why I wasn't being detected I wasn't like them was because of a trick Chris showed me to hide my Wiccan and cupid like aura one time when hiding from Wyatt's demons. It worked but it took a lot of concentration so the trick wouldn't flicker and die.

"Please, everyone, may I have your attention, please" Zahn called out, putting a silence in the room as all the demons watched him expectantly. "Tonight I have a special treat for you. A once in a life time opportunity to purchase one of these most unique souls there is, or ever was. A Charmed One, ladies and demons" Paige's soul walked up onto the stage wearing shackles. "One of only three in existence, and I have her here tonight. Both soul and body" Paige's body appeared on a table near by. "To be auctioned off separately of course"

I fingered a special strong potion under my hood, "Hurry up" I murmured under my breath.

The sisters had to be here at any moment.

"Shall we start the bidding at say, ten powers?" Zahn called out and the auction began. Fifteen, twenty for Paige's soul, another twenty for her body. My heart raced in anxiety. Thirty. Thirty three. Thirty six. Forty.

I moved within the crowd as I felt the sisters close by before they appeared. Focusing intently on them was tiring I felt a drop of blood fall down my nose I wiped quickly. Dad had never gotten me to train my sense of location with several people at the same time for long periods of time so I overworked myself, not to mention I also was focusing on not letting my Wiccan aura to show. I'll have a long nap after this.

As soon as Phoebe and Piper appeared in a swirl of lights, I dropped down the shield that hid my Wiccan side, seeing the way the demon close by perked as he sensed me.

"More Charmed Ones!" A demon exclaimed, greedily.

"And a witch!" the demon who sensed me pointed at me.

"One hundred for all four of them" the first demon smirked.

I dropped the hood over my head, annoyed "Sold to the dead Grimlock"

I conjured an athame, one I knew killed demons as soon as it touched them in my time, throwing it at the Grimlock's chest with such precision worthy of a cupid. As soon as the athame stabbed the demon, it flared up before vanishing.

That set everyone in action. Piper blew up another demon. A demon woman threw an energy ball at the sisters but Phoebe channeled it back at her, vanquishing her.

I looked around at all the demons running away, taking notice of one getting close to Paige's body, immediately flickering up my wrist their direction, putting up a pink force field around Paige before the demon could touch her. The demon bounced back from the force field and I jogged up to him, looking down at him expressionlessly.

Before he could shimmer away, I conjured a pair of chains around his wrists and neck, pinning him down to the floor, conjuring another athame and stabbing him directly on his heart, watching him scream and burn from the inside out, vanquishing him to nothing. 0

While I did that, Piper burned out all the deals Zahn made, releasing every soul who dealt with him.

I looked up as Paige's body glowed, her return making me gather my bearings back and realizing the violent way I had killed the demon.

I detached myself too hard.

Enough to become apathetic and violent momentarily.

I stood, walking to the sisters.

"Bree" Phoebe hugged me tightly in relief. I froze. My mom was... Hugging me. Just like how I missed. "I was so worried. What the hell was that?"

I didn't answer as Zahn cried out in rage, "My contracts!"

"Cut it a little close" Paige told her sisters.

"What the hell's going on?" Piper demanded.

I cleared my throat, pulling out my potion, giving Piper an innocent look "Questions later, please. Vanquish now"

I threw my potion to Zahn, Piper and Phoebe doing the same. The mix of the three potions made its job and vanquished Zahn from existence.

Finally.

Phoebe threw an arm around my shoulders, humming in content "I love watching lawyers explode"

I won't admit out loud I took advantage of that moment, cuddling against Phoebe.

Can you blame me? I missed my mom.

Piper turned to face us, deadpanning "Now can I bitch?"

I shrank against Phoebe's side, wanting her to protect me of Piper's anger, like she did when I was little and I would accidentally break a vase or two while conjuring new stuff or transforming plates into soft balls to play with and as my concentration wasn't the best, the balls would transform back to their normal form (plates) mid air and break as they fell to the ground.

I was banned from using my conjuring for a week after that. And I got lucky with a week as mom defended me by using Piper's own power when she would accidentally blow stuff up when she was first learning how to use it.

I needed that Phoebe to protect me now.

But the protection came from Paige as Phoebe began to absent-mindedly pass her hand through my hair. I wanted to cry. Mom did that all the time too.

"No, let me explain" Paige began, "I had to lure you down here, it was the only way to destroy the contracts. All I had to do was find them first"

"But by dying?" Piper asked skeptically "And what was Bree doing down here?"

"I was the back up in case you didn't come on time" I pointed out, my voice growing weak at the stern look I received from Phoebe.

Woah. She still wasn't a mom and she was already mastering the mom look.

Paige gave me an amused look at the way I shrank at Phoebe's look, turning to Piper "I'm not dead. See, your brain has to be dead before you can die so I'm still alive"

Piper and Phoebe looked at each other.

"Okay, so where's Larry's soul?" Phoebe asked.

"Larry's saved" Paige told them "He's moved on"

Piper crossed her arms. "And that was worth risking your life for?"

"No, I wasn't risking my life" Paige told her. "See I knew no matter how pissed off you got, you'd still come and save me. We are sisters"

"Those are the Charmed Ones I know" I added my two scents.

Phoebe and Piper looked at each other again thoughtfully before turning to me.

I smiled.

I knew it too. They couldn't have changed, no matter how much Chris and I screwed up the past. The Charmed Ones were above two time travelers who didn't really know what we were going most of the time.

~8~

Paige and I had to Thank Richard for all he did for us.

And for me to give him an explanation of what he witnessed about me.

I tried to not to impose a lot while paying respects to Larry's soul.

Richard and Paige were at the living room of his manor. She had a lit candle as she prayed for Larry's soul.

I was in the kitchen, having given permission from Richard to eat something. I needed energy. I was feeling drained but now that I could feel Chris again, all the anxiety I didn't know I was feeling about his absence was making me tired.

Every time I wouldn't feel Chris I felt so alone, so lost. We were a team and we were going to save our world together. I couldn't do it without him. My cupid side was attached heavily to my family that every time I lost one of them, a part of me died with them.

It took me a lot to recover when I lost almost all my family at once and it took both Chris and my dad to get me not to lose myself or my mind, even going as far as casting a spell around me that made me fall unconscious whenever thoughts of ending my life because I couldn't handle it without my family entered my head. I couldn't go through it all over again.

I was in deep thought, sipping a glass of orange juice that I didn't sense I was no longer alone.

"I've only seen one creature capable of doing what you do"

I snapped to the present, gasping letting the glass fall. Before it could break, I formed a force field around it, levitating it back to me, turning to face Richard leaning against the doorway of the kitchen.

"You have?" I asked, clearing my throat, grabbing the glass of water, the force field disappearing. "Interesting"

I turned my back on him, putting the glass on the sink.

"Yes, and it doesn't really make sense when you think about it" Richard continued. I placed my hands on the counter next to the sink. "But then, you're from the future so probably the rules changed"

"Your point?" I asked.

"Paige and her sisters have no idea you're also a cupid" Richard stated.

I tensed. I knew he would have found out. It was distinct the way I beamed. It was pink and in the form of a heart. Also he could have figured out I have been sensing Paige all the time since she left with Zahn and that I knew exactly when she died. Paige thought I had cast a new spell that was created in the future to sense when death happened but no one could know about it in this time because I could change the future. It was the only way to get her to trust me.

"They don't" I pushed myself against the counter, turning to face him. "And they can't know because there's the risk of changing the future in ways I wouldn't want to"

Richard gave me a searching look. And I knew he connected the dots. He seemed a smart guy and it was such a pity he didn't end up with Paige and becoming my uncle.

"It's because of what Larry said" Richard realized. "You are actually related to Paige"

I looked behind him nervously. "Keep your voice down" I hissed "I don't want her to know"

Richard softened after a moment in realization. "You're here to save them. They're the family you lost" I didn't answer. "It must be too painful being around them, isn't it? They don't know who you and Chris are to them"

"And they can't because the moment they know, our lives could change" I pleaded. "Please, you can't tell Paige. I want to exist. I want Chris to exist. If they know, there's the possibility they try to force themselves or their future and that's bad because they could do things differently that leads them to a path where we don't exist. Tell me you've seen time travel movies and know about the butterfly effect"

"Hey, breathe" Richard told me soothingly. I didn't realize I was breathing heavily, several objects had been conjured into different different objects as well. "It's okay. I won't day anything but I need you to breathe and try to calm down okay? I can see you overworked yourself with your magic. You need to rest"

"I'm sorry" I said, waving a hand and returning to normal all the objects I transformed. "I... I was never good with stress. If normally I struggle with both sides of me, when I panic or feel anxious this is worse"

"What did you do to help yourself?" Richard asked, pushing himself away from the doorway and walking closer to me.

A small smile flickered on my lips, "Paige helped all the time. She knew how to calm me down, orbing me to different parts of the world to get fresh air and away from all the chaos and pressure. She always been the most laid back out of the sisters and knew when we needed to relax and had fun"

"That does sound like her" Richard chuckled. I smiled too but it quickly faded. "But this Paige is so different as yours"

"Look, I know you must be dying to know about the future" I looked up at him. "I can't tell you whether you're going to become part of her life. I can't tell you if I know you in the future. But please, promise me you won't tell Paige I'm... Related to her"

"I promise" Richard said, pausing. "Only if you tell me if Paige is your mom or not"

I snorted "Please. That's..." I breathed out at the amusement on his face. "She's not. She's the Cool aunt though. Happy?"

"Delighted" Richard smiled, it slowly faded. "if there's anything I can do to help..."

I shook my head, "Chris and I have it under control. He's gonna kill me" I groaned. "No one's supposed to know"

"Don't tell him" Richard shrugged.

I deadpanned at him, "Right. Lie to a paranoid, neurotic guy who gets suspicious at even the toaster in the corner. That would go so well"

"You're not lying if he doesn't ask" Richard pointed out.

I paused. True.

I shook my head "Whatever. I just wanted to ask for not saying anything to Paige. I have to go back, I haven't seen Chris all day and I want to make sure he's okay"

"Sure" Richard stepped aside as I began to walk past him, "You know, it's faster if you beam away" I stopped on my tracks but didn't turn to face him.  "Paige fell asleep in the couch. Dying and getting back to life must be tiring. She won't know"

I slowly turned to him, seeing a small smile playing on his lips.

"Thank you" I said after a moment. I really would have liked him to be in my future. He was a nice guy.

I beamed to the P3, appearing on Chris' room

"Bree" Chris breathed out in relief as he stood from his bed.

I didn't wait for another second as I jumped to his arms, hugging him tightly. "Don't disappear on me like that again"

Chris wasn't one to show affection but his whitelighter side must've been tingling that I was anxious and upset that he returned the embrace, resting his cheek atop my head, rocking us on his feet.

"I'm sorry" Chris murmured softly. It reminded me of the young boy who'd rock me to sleep whenever I was so sad and in despair I wanted to die to make me feel better.

If I was alive and sane, I owed it all to Chris.
