I beamed inside the attic of the manor, covered in water.

"You would think a water demon would be easy to kill in this time" I said scrunching my nose in disgust as I shook my hands from the water.

Chris looked up from where he was telekinetically flipping the pages of the Book of Shadows. "A water demon is never easy to kill, P" he replied, chewing on a pen.

I glared at him playfully "B" I corrected him. He looked up confused "You said P. I'm Bree here remember? You're lucky none of the girls were here or that'd have brought questions" for the first time in a while Chris showed expression, apologetic and shamed. "You get distracted when in duty. Be careful with that C"

"Sorry" Chris shrugged

I gasped dramatically, "An apology. And some emotion!" I clapped enthusiastically, walking forward, "I should frame this"

"You're being ridiculous, Breanna" Chris rolled his eyes.

I laughed sarcastically when a portal suddenly opened up in the corner and a woman walked out of it.

I eyed her in confusion, suddenly recognizing her as a Valkyrie.

Chris sucked in a deep breath from next to me

"Chris?" I saw recognition in his eyes, "You know her?"

Chris looked at me apologetically, "Sorry Bree"

I tilted my head aside confused when I felt a sharp hit on the back of my head making me gasp in pain and see blurry and my knees gave up on me.

Chris caught me mid air, "I'm so sorry. But you weren't supposed to see her, little cousin" he murmured so lowly I didn't understand all he said.

The pain made me fall unconscious.

I groaned, fluttering my eyes open seeing a blurry Chris in front of me

"Thank God. You gave me a good scare" He sighed in relief while helping me to a sitting position

"That's what happens when you let her fight a demon on her own" I heard Piper scold lightly, feeling a hand behind my head.

"Piper? Chris?" I blinked, looking up at her. She had a small worried look, smiling slightly "Was that water demon? Cause I could sworn I did vanquished him"

"There were two" Chris sighed heavily, "He followed you here when you arrived. Good thing there was a potion ready for him here"

For a reason I felt he was lying, one of my powers tingled in my head informing of something off but I couldn't tell what. Besides, there was no reason for Chris to lie to me. We were on this together.

"Right" I murmured "Silly me"

Chris grimaced, "I'll take you to your room so you can rest" he helped me up, passing an arm around my lower back and one of my arms around his shoulders. He turned to Piper, "Once I get her to bed, I'm getting your sisters. You have another demon to vanquish"

"Okey-dokey" Piper smiled, "Be careful with her. I want her good for dinner" she picked up a basket of laundry from the floor before walking out of the attic.

Once she was out, I narrowed my eyes at Chris, "Spill" I demanded, letting him lead me to my room at the manor. The sisters had been very kind to give me one of the rooms in exchange for me to babysit Wyatt when they got busy. Perks of being from the future meant I didn't exist and I didn't have to work. They seemed to thrust me. More than Chris for sure. "There was only a demon. What really happened?'

"You don't remember?" Chris seemed to have a permanent grimace in his face.

I slowly shook my head, taking a turn in one of the hallways nearing my room. My eyebrows furrowing

He sighed, "Okay. It was a Valkyrie" he blurted out. I slowed down, giving him a shocked look "What? Don't look at me like that. I don't have the same connections. They're different this time. Not the same girls"

"Still, you and them get really comfy with each other is disgusting and dangerous" I made a face "What the hell was one doing here?"

"Who knows? I stopped her before she did more damage to you" that was truthful making me nod.

"Okay" I said nodding. "I'll be here when you find the sisters. God bless them for all the demons you're forcing them to vanquish"

"Hey" Chris looked offended, "We have to stop them before they get to Wyatt, remember? Any of these demons can be responsible. I don't want to take any chances"

I sat down on the bed, "I know. I know. You want to save your brother as much as I do" I whispered. "I won't judge but they will. You have to let them breathe, Chris" I said softly, "Or you'll lose them"

Chris sighed, "I know what I'm doing. Rest" he pointed at me before walking away.

I looked down, sighing slightly "You have to relax, C. Even if it's a little bit"

I walked down the stairs, hearing a crash.

A Trok Demon was in front of the sisters about to lunge at them. I lifted a hand, creating a pink force field around them, making the demon crash against it.

Phoebe looked at the force field in slight surprise before starting chanting a spell "From other worlds far and near, let's get him the Trok, out of here." The Trok Demon bursted into flames getting vanquished.

Piper smiled

I lowered my hand, forcing the force field go disappear. "What the hell? Is everybody okay?"

"Yeah, that was awesome" Piper said cheerfully. Phoebe rolled her eyes. Piper looked up at me. "I didn't know you could do that. That was fantastic"

I looked at her warily.

I walked out of the kitchen with a pad of ice in my hands.

I placed it on Paige's shoulder, pressing it slightly making her hiss painfully "Sorry" I murmured.

"What kind of Whitelighter can't heal?" Paige whined, shooting Chris a look.

Chris had his arms crossed over his chest, watching us "For the record, you can't heal either"

"I'm half-whitelighter" Paige explained. I briefly looked at Chris knowingly because the sisters didn't know that detail of him being like Paige. "How come you didn't tell us about this before we hired you?"

Chris rolled his eyes "Because you didn't hire me. I was assigned by the Elders" he drawled impatiently

Phoebe walked in carrying a tube of cream. "Any other little surprises you would like the share with us?"

"No" Chris replied. Phoebe sat down besides Paige. "Look, I haven't been a Whitelighter very long, okay? And healing, it's big, and takes a little while to learn how to do"

"We know Chris" I replied amusedly, nodding "You don't have to hide you suck at it" I pulled my tongue out at him. Phoebe laughed, dabbing some cream on Paige's shoulder. "You don't need to be ashamed of something you don't know how to do"

"Haha, very funny" Chris narrowed his eyes at me, glaring

"You could've told us about this like, I don't know, maybe a month ago" Paige told him.

"Well, I know one thing for sure, we're gonna stop all this demon fighting for a while" Phoebe said.

"Wait, why?" Chris widened his eyes

I gave him an 'I told you so' look as Piper's voice sounded from the other room

"Can somebody please fold the towels in the dryer when it's done?"

"That's why" Phoebe gave us a look

Piper walked in carrying Wyatt and her purse. "I put a casserole in the oven, you can check it in about an hour or so. I will be at the club if you need me. Have fun!" She waved at us before leaving

"Oh my god, she is so sad" Phoebe suddenly said

"Sad?" Paige repeated  confused  "Where are you getting sad from?"

I looked up in realization, quickly looking at Chris.

Chris seemed to realize the same, pinching the bridge of his nose, "How about this. Three more demons, then we can talk about taking a little break"

"What, do you have a quota or something?" Paige raised a brow

Chris sighed heavily "Look, I've already told you this before. I know from future knowledge that a demon is gonna come after Wyatt. These are all pre-empted strikes"

"Okay, look, Chris, we like you a lot. Both of you" Phoebe told him, looking at me as well "But have been doing this a lot longer than you have. Trust me, you have to pace yourself and you gotta let us have a life" She looked at her watch. "Ooh, speaking of which, I have to go get ready for my lunch date" she stood up

"Oh, I didn't know your boss was back in town" Paige looked surprised

"No, it's not with Jason, it's with Chad, the DJ, who I'm not really interested in"

I pulled a disgusting face.

"Two demons, how about that?" Chris called out, raising two fingers "Two"

"No, Chris" Phoebe denied "And especially not until we figure out what's wrong with Piper, and more importantly Piper's powers"

"I swear, I think Leo did something to her before he left" Paige said thoughtfully

"You know what? I think it's about time we orb him down here and ask him" Phoebe said

I nodded slightly, frowning

"I don't think that's possible" Chris shut down that idea quickly. Very quickly I may add. I eyed him suspiciously

"Well, then make it possible" Phoebe told him "Look, even if he doesn't care about Piper as his wife, as an Elder he at the very least should care about what happened to her powers"

"I can't" Chris shook his head

"Yeah, you can" Paige told him. "You just go up there and tell him to get his butt down here"

"Yeah, Chris. Why not?" I eyed him intently, narrowing my eyes

Chrid sighed. "Look, I didn't wanna tell you this because I didn't want to worry you two but... Leo's missing"

"What?" I echoed Phoebe in surprise.

"Missing? How long?" Paige questioned

"Since the last time you saw him" Chris replied "Anyway, the Elders think he's been kidnapped"

"By whom?" I asked Chris, crossing my arms

He grimaced looking at me
