"Amy, so tell me, what do you think of my friends?", Steve asked, finally breaking the silence.
"They're good.", Amy said. What else am I supposed to say. "I don't know much about them. So it's too soon to judge."
"Well, you've met Trisha and Sid. They have been dating for like 8 years or so. And Trisha has not been with anyone but him. But..Sid, well you know..he.", Steve said, "He's not exactly what you call loyal."
Poor Trisha. Amy said, "What about the others?"
"Well, let's see. I don't exactly know a lot about the others, to be honest. They are from Sid's circle. And I have met them sometimes at some parties."
"And what's the deal with Terry? He seems creepy. Well, while entering here, I said 'Bad things happen in Riberwood.' He gave me an eye.", Amy said.
"Terry is Sid's cousin. He lives here with Sid. They hate each other."
"Then why's Terry here?"
"It's because of Sid's mom. She insisted or ordered, whatever you say, to bring him along."
Terry is a third wheel. Amy laughed.
"What about you?", Steve asked.
"What about me?"
"You have any friends?"
"I have a friend. Her name's Nancy. I think you know her. She was..is.. the class valedictorian."
Suddenly Amy and Steve both jumped. They stood up from the dusty chair they were sitting on.
What was the scream? Whose was it? Amy was scared.
