"Dad can I go with Elijah to this family get together" I ask my dad

Looking through my closest I got my cargo and red shirt.

My brother smack his lips and with into his room. I start to get dress so I can go to Elijah house.

I was currently at Elijah House. I ring the doorbell waiting on somebody to open the door. While waiting some big dude open the door.

"Hello I'm Dre, um is Elijah here"

"Um I was invited by him, is he here by any chance"

"Isaac leave him alone, hi Dre sorry about my brother" Eli said coming to the door. "Please don't mind my brother he not going do anything I promise" he said.

"it's OK, i'm not scared of your brother anything" "good some people will be intimidated by my brother I'll guess because he's huge, but he's nothing compared to my uncles" he told me smiling, Why do I feel like Elijah is setting me up or something.

Next thing I know I seem two buff ass twins walk into the room.

I'm not going to lie I was a little intimidated, I mean do you see these two.

"Um Dre I going to go talk to uncles, you stay here and talk my grandfather" Elijah said. I guess his grandfather wants to get know me more better.
"Okay" Elijah left to talk to his uncles, it good to see him get along with his family members.

"Yeah, that boy sure does love his uncle, they are super overprotective of him like one of their daughters have their first boyfriend, have you met them already"

"Yeah, let just say I don't plan on doing anything hurtful to Elijah." He granddad started laughing.

"They threaten you already, look don't think too much about it. That just mean they like you."

I look over at Elijah, I seen him laughing and playing on his uncle Kristian back. That shit lowkey did something to me.

"Look, do you plan to stay Lijah friend forever" his granddad said.

"then you have nothing to worry about, Elijah's been hurt so many times we just don't want to see him to go threw that hurt anymore with people that he trust with his heart" he said.

I wonder what he mean by that, I shrugged, because if Elijah wants me to know he will tell me right.

"Hey, look I won't hold you up any longer you go over there and go play Elijah. I will sit over here and talk to the grown folks."

I was walking back to Elijah after the conversation with his family and then I started wonder what his grandfather and his brother said. What happened in Elijah past?
